There are so many posters assuming pool will finish out of top 4.

So, had to create this thread.

Probably a jinx thread, yes, but;

Chelsea: Arsenal (h), Leicester (h), Villa (a)

Leicester: Chelsea (a), Spurs (h).

West Ham: Brighton (a), West Brom (a), Southampton (h).

Liverpool: Man Utd (a), West Brom (a), Burnley (a), Palace (h).

Depends on whether they get a result against us tomorrow. If they win then they're heavy favorites due to their remaining fixtures
A draw makes it a straight 50/50 between them and Leicester but if they lose Leicester will only need a point to get top 4 which I'll be shocked if they can't conjure up

I think Leicester will get 4 points from their last two games, and Chelsea will get 7

So yeah I don't think they'll make it.

Leicester have to beat Spurs at home. That's the one. Lads, it's Spurs Vs Lads, it may just be the new Spurs.

Leicester look shaky. I could see them getting 1 point from the last 2 and Liverpool getting 10 from their last 4. That would see Pool through on goal difference.

If we draw or lose to Liverpool, then Leicester will need to at least win one of their two remaining games AND hope that Liverpool drop points in one of their remaining 3 games.

So tomorrow evening, we must win AND Leicester must get at least one point off either Chelsea or Spurs.
Anything less than a win for us and the chances are stacked in favour of the scousers and against Leicester.
That would require them to win their last 3 fixtures though.

If Liverpool beat us and go on to win 2 out of their remaining 3, Leicester will need that 1 point, otherwise they're out.
If Liverpool beat us and go on to win all 3 remaining games, Leicester will need a win and a draw. Can you see Leicester doing that?

As for Leicester.
If the scousers lose to us and drop any points in their remaining 3 games, then West Ham could take the 4th spot, but only if they win all their 3 games and Leicester fail to get a single point.

I don’t see Leicester beating us in the League game, think we will beat them comfortably to be honest. Cup is completely different mindset, anything thing could happen.

I'm pretty confident Liverpool will still finish top 4 even if we take points off them tomorrow night. Leicester are guaranteed to lose v Chelsea and will probably bottle the Spurs game, whereas I fancy Liverpool to win their last 3 and have the better goal difference

Considering how dodgy Leicester looked against a second string united side, I could easily believe they will get 0 points from their last two games

If the Dippers lose on Thursday and Chelsea win tonight, they only need one point from 2 games to be sure of top 4, unless West Ham going crazy at the weekend and win 6-0 or something. Furthermore the CL final is around the corner.

I see it suiting both Chelsea and Leicester to play out a draw in that one.

Leicester aren't taking any more points this season and Liverpool will win all of their games.

That's my fear too. I think we need a draw tomorrow. Then it's in the balance. Leicester could get a draw against Spurs but Liverpool could overtake them on goal difference. Man, I hope not. We need them to finish out of the Champions League so it's easier to beat them in the transfer market.

If we beat Liverpool tomorrow Leicester will only need a point in their final 2 games to get top 4 mathematically even if Liverpool win all their fixtures. It's not a notoriously uphill battle for Leicester if we do them a favor tomorrow

I have a feeling they will too. I think Leicester will lose their last two games, or get one point and lose out on goal difference. Hope I'm wrong. Would be incredibly harsh on them two years straight. Plus, it's Liverpool.

Find it weird that people assume liverpool will 100 % beat west brom, burnley and palace. They have been dropping points in games like this all season.

How on Earth are liverpool even in contention? I swear they've been utter dross for more than half a season and lost like 15 games.

They arent. Been poor this season. And West Ham have been a surprise package but not quite good enough. They were just hoping to get there because someone is worse than them rather than on merit. For Liverpool to get CL now they need to win every game and hope for other results. If you take away fixtures They are 9 points and goal difference behind a team who have an extra 6 points to play for with liverpool having 12 to play for. Its an awful position.

Wonder what the odds of a 6 game acca with all 6 of those results going Pools way are?

If they beat us tomorrow I fancy them to win all their last games. Leicester would need to beat spurs or Chelsea and then it would be goal difference. And look who Liverpool have. They can easily make that up.

To be fair every season is the same, the race for top 4 isn't a race, it's a bunch of average teams stumbling and bumbling to the finish line.

They can yes but its an incredibly long shot. They arent even in good form and have dropped lot of points in similar games. If one result in the chain goes wrong thats it.

Congrats to Liverpool and Klopp. Another CL campaign on its way.
