Not sayin he's not coaching, but tactical training has much less impact during the season, the training is barely enough to improve details and maintain fitness levels.
I'm sure he's doing some exercises and making them approach some situations differently, but he's not a miracle maker.

Pre-season is important for that: there's a lot of physical and extended tactical training, so players can get routines and patterns from the manager ideas. You can do that during season, but it's not very productive. Any manager who took a club without a pre-season will complain about this.
Yeah I normally would agree with that, but the level of organization is clearly different, so it's most likely different in this case.

And to be fair, some managers are able to come into a team and instantly impart key tactical ideas. I think that's merely what Tuchel has done, and with a pre-season we'll see more and more evolution from the team.

They need a prolific goalscorer. If they get that, I could see them challenging for the title next season.
Spot on. Question is who? I'd take Romelu back. Think theyd sell too, their owner is asking the players to forego wages, as theyre so skint

I would also. He has really advanced. I do not know who, but I think Roman is going to go big.

At this point, the season may end as an absolute failure, a success for Tuchel, or a dream come true.

Goal number 1 is to enter the top 4, which is in danger, the game against Arsenal was not taken seriously and that has responsibilities for Tuchel. I consider the Leicester game for the League to be more important than tomorrow's final.

Getting to the top 4 and FA CUP will be a tremendous success.
That and the Champions will be a dream.
Failing to do all this will be a tremendous failure after all the advantages achieved in the League.

We are in rough waters because we have entered another game to sleep.

Apparently there's a major figure in the club who hasn't forgiven Lukaku for some stuff that happened when he left. It's supposedly unlikely he'll be re-signed.

That's probably fair. There's only so much pointing-but-not-making-the-run that you can take :(

If he’s a good manager, he’ll have his players really fired up for the CL final now.

Having a honeymoon period but they won’t put up with this boring football next year.

Abramovich will probably sack him if he doesn't come in the top four or win the CL.

The football isn't great, but he's massively let down by his strikers, wasting tons of chances match after match.

But Tuchel doesn't help himself playing Azpi at RWB for example.

Imagine now if he loses top 4, and then goes on to lose the CL-final.

Now, the last one is pretty likely, and City is a better team, but losing top 4 would be a failure.

We have Flanders in our German contingent and with Flanders, you will not win titles.

I can no longer see Timo Werner starting for Chelsea.
A paper plane is more useful to the team than he is.

81 minutes with that disaster on the field.

As I said yesterday, this season could end in a dream or an absolute disaster and the waters are so turbid that we are going further towards the disaster, we will remember for a long time the game with Arsenal and Jorginho's child error.

But Tuchel, what Flanders you are, congratulations to Leicester.
They wanted and knew how to win, despite not having half the quality, the most important game is the next one for us and I fear for the result.

Unlucky in the end, but for all the praise he is a bit too cautious for my liking. This was the game for the taking and of course Leicester after Chelsea doing feck all for an hour decided they might have a go. Chelsea should have been all over them from minute one, not the last 15. Team selection was also wrong.

Extremely defensive in his tactical approach. Very strange performance.

Chelsea play Leicester at home and Villa away.

If they drop points against Leicester or Villa they will be in real trouble with regards to 4th, as Liverpool and West Ham all have 3 games left against bottom table clubs with nothing left to play for, with Liverpool especially hitting form.

Win 1 Draw 1 - Chelsea sits at 68 points

Liverpool can get 69 with 3 wins against: West Brom, Burnley and Crystal Palace

West Ham got Brighton, Southampton and West Brom left to play and can maximum get 67 points with a much worse goal difference than Chelsea.

Unless Chelsea win their next 2 matches and secure 70 points, I think the scousers will claw their way back into the CL and push Tuchels crew out.

Manchester City are enormous favorites against Chelsea. I don't see them winning that final at all.

Chelsea, despite having come so far this season, may end up with nothing and disaster.

His football is so bad that when the bad results inevitably start today creep in he’ll be hounded out.

Perhaps this guy is just another good coach, and not the all conquering mastermind destined for greatness I’ve been hearing about.

Poor team selection imo. I suppose the positive thing about having the final ridiculously played before the end of the season is that we can forget it and move on immediately rather rather dwell on it all summer.

If ole out on these performances haha my god. He deserves credit but if you take out the CL Vs Madrid they haven't been even good. Very cautious and if they can fluke a goal then effective

If they don't beat Leicester, that Cl final is going to be huge huge pressure for Chelsea overall

Basically have to beat city, again, in the cl final to make cl next season...

Very Mourinho-like setup with a little bit more attack.

You would have bitten the hand off of anyone who offered you that when Tuchel took over.
Yeah for sure, but now that we're here, the glory that was/is on the table, to come away with nothing would be an extremely tough pill to swallow.

In a final anything can happen, a defeat hurts, but it is not the most difficult thing to accept.

Today we were favorites and we´ve lost, on the 29th we are underdogs and who knows, but it will be very difficult to win once again Pep who will have his big night there.

Our main objective is to finish in the top 4 of the Premer League.
And I still haven't been able to digest the game's disaster with Arsenal.
That was our grand finale!
And it was treated by Tuchel and consequently by the players as if it were a pre-season game.

It is more and more difficult to get to see 90 minutes of this soporific football, not even the results and the supposed defensive solidity help him, the choices of players are very debatable.

Timo Werner cannot start another game as a Chelsea FC starter.
And he probably has to leave the club in the summer, get a new air, even if it is a loan because not only will he fall into a depression but he will drag us all with him.

If we finish the season out of the top 4 after all this hype with the German Flanders ...oh my!

Just shows how quickly things change in football

A week ago it was doom for Leicester, possibility of losing fa Cup and top4 now they might get both
Chelsea could lose everything after what looked like it could be the best season possible
Ole could finish second with europa League win or 3rd again and another cup disappointment

For Chelsea I think they need to win the league match more than Leicester and it will play into your hands especially with a better overall squad

Yeah the margins are really slim. It's the reason I both really love and hate it when your team has something big to play for at the business end of the season. It's torturous. I almost just want to skip the experience and simulate all.the remaining games.

After all the good that Tuchel has done since January, his time here will be judged by one game tomorrow.....No pressure!

Holy Christ have we bottled it in the last week.

Not at all, surely May 29th is everything? I feel even if he missed top four BUT won the CL most Chelsea fans would see that as a huge success given where he inherited the team. And this is all with Werner leading your attack - just imagine a half decent finisher.
