The way some people are talking you would think liverpool were about to win the league again.

I maintain that Burnley will beat them. Either Burnley or Crystal Palace. Benteke is on fire.

we should only blame ourselves for letting them near top 4. Idiotic 3 points they got of us.

Liverpool with that extra CL money will be right back in the mix next season. With a fit defence and some more additions, they'll be favourites for most trophies after City. We've seen how Europa League can wreak havoc on a team's season, not to mentioned the missed financial rewards of competing in the CL.

I’m just glad we’re not in this race. Let’s be honest, we all expected a Liverpool title challenge again, so let’s hope this is a sign of things to come and then scrapping for top 4 becomes the norm again.

They’re winning, but they don’t look great at all. Hopefully salah fecks off too

See how much Liverpool struggled against a side that was already relegated 50 years ago yet they beat us so easy. I don't buy any of these escuses about how we had a bad schedule. I def agree we had it too hectic but we should have beaten Liverpool or at least drew. They've been absolutely horrid this season. They will most likely get a free ticket into CL now much because of us.

What a courageous win by Liverpool. They deserved it through their belief and commitment. The race should be interesting until the end of the season.

VvD, Matip, Gomez and Henderson being out for the season, with Jota and Thiago out for half the season would have to be the norm first.

It's pretty much Liverpool's to lose at this point. I would be really surprised if they don't get top 4 - I just hope it's at the expense of Chelsea.

I guess the best result on Tuesday would be a draw? Then Leicester can secure 3rd with a victory over Spurs, and Chelsea would just need Liverpool to draw one of their games to be able to secure 4th.
Leicester losing by 1 goal to Chelsea and then beating Spurs, with Chelsea winning their last game puts Leicester on 69 points and Chelsea on 70.

Liverpool can only get to 69 so it'll be down to goal difference, which unfortunately probably favours them over Leicester. Looks like Leicester/Chelsea will have to hope for Crystal Palace or Burnley to do them a favour.

I think if we beat Burnley we’ll make it. If we’d beaten Newcastle and Leeds it would’ve been done by now.

The dippers have two away games left? Thought the Palace game was a home game and a banker for them

Also Leicester and Chelsea fans should be shitting themselves right now given one of them will lose the spot

Actually even if you just get a point you'll prob make it. Leicester def gonna drop points these 2 remaining games. I think your win against us settled it.

So it could go down to goal difference between Pool and Leicester if assuming Chelsea beat Leicester and Leicester can beat Spurs. Not much between them on GD right now.

A Lei v Che draw would leave Chelsea with 68 points if they beat Villa and probably not good enough. Hopefully Pool can drop points to either Burnley or Palace, I wouldn't rule that out either.

For many seasons now this top 4 run in has become a "no after your sir, no I wouldn't hear of it, after you"

The Palace game is at anfield with fans in attendance.

The reverse fixture ended 0-7 after which the relegation form followed for nearly 3-4 months

That's it then. Burnley has to get at least a point for them not to take the last spot
Tbh after they won against us I knew they would get it somehow. Missed opportunity to feck them over.

I think, it ends like this:

Chelsea - Leicester: draw
Burnley - Liverpool: Liverpool wins

---
Leicester - Tottenham: Leicester wins
Aston V. - Chelsea: Chelsea wins
Liverpool - C.Palace: Liverpool wins

Leicester 70 p
Liverpool 69 p
-------
Chelsea 68 p

Hypothetically speaking Chelsea beat Leicester by a 1 goal margin and Liverpool beat both Burnley, Palace by 1 goal.

Leicester would need to beat Spurs by at least 3-0 to finish 4th.

4th place for Liverpool and just a matter who will join them Leicester v Chelsea result should decide that.

Jesus Christ could the last 4 days have gone any worse? Whoever misses CL out of Chelsea or Leicester will be pissing blood after that bullshit goal was ruled out for WBA. It's even worse that we lost to these horrible shower of cnuts to set them up. Big ugh

The way these teams are playing atm nothing is certain. Leicester beating Spurs is very far from certain

If Liverpool make Top 4 then it's because of Alisson's goal today

...not because they beat Utd.

Sky will probably devote a whole days worth of special programmes to celebrate Liverpool getting top 4

I think Leicester are going to be in the very strange position of winning the FA cup, but throwing top 4 away, and unsure whether to be happy with their season's work!

Chelsea are at home and will have to put their top boys in, and then they play an on the beach Villa without 2 of their back 4. Grealish still re-habbing.

Leicester have a very tough ask now. There's no way they're getting ahead if Liverpool on goal difference if they can't take a draw v Chelsea.

If Chelsea lose to Leicester by a goal and Liverpool draw their game against Burnley, that would put Liverpool and Chelsea on level points AND GD. That should make the final day really interesting.

I looked at the table and unless i'm mistaken, there's even a possibility that the dippers can finish third if Leicester lose both their games. Absolute madness

Leicester had every chance to clinch it but couldn't beat Southampton or Newcastle & now have to beat Chelsea & Spurs. It's a big ask .

I have this ugly feeling that Chelsea will come 5th, but win the cup and get in.

But at least that'd stop City. But Chelsea would still win the big one, and be only one behind us.
It's tough to know what to hope for all in!

I suppose the FA Cup win could help soften the blow a lot, but really you blew it even after United sort of gifted you the three points. Don't lose to Chelsea on Tuesday and i think you can make it by beating Spurs

So if Chelsea finish fifth behind Liverpool and Leicester, what happens when Chelsea win the CL?

Isn’t the Dippers getting lucky it’s Leicester, Chelsea and West Ham losing winnable games recently. They’ve pissed their own chances up against the wall.

Honestly, does this really matter? Forest have two as well. It's a no brainer, shouldn't even need two seconds to think.

You could say that they got lucky by us dropping so many points as well. It works both ways
