Is Jadon Sancho really worth the 100 plus million fee?

That's the bottom line. Nobody can play like Messi where he is brilliant through out the game and has the productivity.

Quite simply Sancho has gotten top 4 for Dortmund. Everything changed 2 or 3 games into his comeback from injury. Even if @charlenefan isn't wrong abt Sancho not having a great game...what matters is the final product. Just like Rashford and Bruno as you pointed out.
Yeah, exactly. How many times did we not play great under Sir Alex but manage to sneak a win? Happened quite often and that was because we had players in the final third that could produce something from nothing.

None of the Dortmund fans on Reddit seem to think of the sources reporting on this so far have been reliable.

I don't see why Utd can't start negotiations with Dortmund for a deal this week now that both clubs have officially gotten CL football. Benefits all parties to sort everything out as early as possible

We all love United
His first assist today surely isn't counted as an assist? It was just a simple layoff and a great striker by their scorer

The heading should be changed to “ Is Jardon Sancho really worth £78 million”.

I’m 100% sure we buy him in June for £70-78m.

I really do wonder if Liverpool will try bin Mane and steal Sancho from us?

If they where to we'd look like absolute mugs.
Dortmund would probably do Klopp a nice discount for Sancho as well. Don't think they'll drop Mane from the squad next season though, probably just keep them both whilst Sancho settles into the team.

Mane will stay hence I can't see Liverpool going for Sancho when they still have him and Salah. Jota is going nowhere too and has been very productive.

And Dortmund aren't giving Klopp a discount. They have a club to run not a charity for mental teeth

If we buy anyone it will be 1st September, and it’s not likely to be Sancho.

Remember Ed’s still around and even if he goes it will probably be Arnold, another Glazer stooge

It's a bit of a cynical myth that they'd do a "nice discount" for anyone TBH BVB are not the type of club to joke with prices if their price is set at £75-80m Liverpool coming in won't magically drop it to say £60m especially for a player of Sancho's caliber plus Liverpool are a sell to buy club when it comes to big money signings they'll need some spectacular good luck to find a buyer for Mane/Salah before the Euros
And realistically you can't expect to rotate Salah, Mane, Jota AND Sancho whilst keeping them all happy

They'll all get plenty of games on their way to the Premier League and Champions League double. Klopp might even put out a respectable side in the FA Cup to complete the treble.

Weekly Sancho scouting. Dortmund can ensure CL with a win today. Anybody else watching?

Edit: A couple of assists already
Yeah him returning to fitness is definitely the reason that Dortmund will get CL football in the end

Everyone fancies themsleves as a bit of a football manager who can find better value in the market themsleves.

Sometimes though , you spot genuine brilliance and need to go for it. Imagine if instead spending big of Rio back in the day we decided "nah I'll have me two CMs instead for that money".
That is very true but do feel like we need to rebuild the midfield and get Sancho & CB as well

Would be a colossal feck up if we fail to get him. No brainer signing. Natural on the right but also brilliant on the left. A much needed creator to balance out having a scorer like Rashford on the left (and helps AWB not needing to be pushing up so often).

He was playing as a LW in his last 10 games. This really won't make people happy here but I really do think he's a much better LW than a RW, he has the license to cut inside and be a bit more unpredictable. He can be good on the RW but you won't see the best of him.
I'd be delighted if he's equally as effective on the LW. Being able to rotate our wingers will be crucial next season, especially if we want to actually give Rashford a rest one day. Having Sancho as an option for both RW and LW will allow that, as well as prove much less of a roadblock for Greenwood's development than having Sancho at RW only.

Ed has a big enough ego that he probably wants to leave following a good transfer window. However, for him that probably means bringing back Ronaldo. Arnold is another Glazer stooge but Ed's biggest issue was that he thought he knew about football. We now hopefully have a system in place that means Arnold won't be able to have as much say as Ed did. You'd hope that Arnold looked on at public perception of Ed and learnt his mistakes.

What's embarrassing is these doom and gloom scenarios being made up.

By all accounts Sancho has a preference to play with his mate Rashford and was all up for joining United last summer. You'd think that if he had any interest in joining Liverpool it would have been last summer when they had won the title after winning the CL the season before. They are a far less attarctive option this summer even if they will unfortunately be better next season than this.

United are second and in the EL final. From Sancho's perspective United offer good wages, his mate Rashford, contenders for the league next season - especially with the addition of a player like him.

Liverpool barely had two pennies to rub together last season and only got Jota because Wolves let him go for an initial 4 million quid payment. They've had a bad season and no stadium income for the best part of 12 months. They are not going to find 80 million quid down the back of John Henry's sofa.

Give Cavani his no.21 from Uruguay or the no.9 and let's give the 7 back to another talented young English winger

Jota looks like he’ll be a brilliant signing for them long-term, which should help in the dippers prioritizing other areas in the squad. I think Chelsea will be the only club in England to rival us for Sancho and that spells bad news for us, as they move more swiftly in the market than we do.

That won't happen as you have to find a buyer for Mane first and i don't think Liverpool would ever spend that kind of money required to get Sancho. I believe Sancho wants to play alongside Rashford/Greenwood and the age demographic of the club suits him much better than Liverpool.

United buying Sancho makes perfect sense and you spend the money to bring him back to England where he starts alongside Rashford and Greenwood. Those 3 could be Englands front line and United's front line for the next decade.

Chelsea are after a ST and CB as far as I’ve heard, they have enough wide attackers as it is.

Also its been said by some sources that Sancho wants to go to Manchester and not London.

Think we do have a «free» run at him.

Where the grass is greener.
No matter what anyone says, some just want to constantly make out that we've no chance to get players and every other club is a better option. The idea of Chelsea being in for him and rivalling us is just idiotic given their current squad.

Where did you read that he prefers Manchester? I’m surprised, I thought he loves London.
