Hoping United can do me a huge favour tonight. Dad succumbed to cancer on Sunday morning, and dad would have been elated for Ole to get some silverware this season!
Sorry for the loss of your father :( May United uplift your spirits during these times

Sorry for your loss man. Here’s hoping Ole and the boys can give us all something to celebrate over later on.

I assume everyone here has seen that there's no Maguire in training during our last pre-game session.

Sincere condolences, and hope the reds put on a performance to cheer you up for 90/120 minutes and more.

    Henderson
    A.W.B Lindelof Tuanzebe Shaw
    Pogba Fred
    Greenwood Bruno Rushford
    Cavani
Heres hoping Ole is brave and goes for the throat, more likely to see Mctom in for Greenwood though I think with pogba playing lw and rashford rw. 3-2 to us in an exciting game hopefully.

Please no Henderson and no McT (although I'm predicting it). I'd expect the following:
    De Gea
    AWB Bailly Lindelof Shaw
    McFred
    Rashford Fernandes Pogba
    Cavani

    Would prefer the below though:
    De Gea
    AWB Tuanzebe Lindelof Shaw
    Fred Pogba
    Greenwood Fernandes Rashford
    Cavani
Is Rashford fit? I think Ole will start Tuanzebe. He's done very well.

I really think van der beek should start after a confidence boosting performance yesterday, same with tuanzebe who has actually had some good displays with lindelof as his partner in the odd occasions he has played this season

    ______________de gea
    Bissaka__tuanzebe_lindelof_shaw
    _____________mctominay
    ___________vdb_______pogba
    _____________fernandes
    ______greenwood__cavani
There is no way Ole starts VDB. I wish he does but it's 99% MacFred

We will win 3-0 easily. Will be one of the easiest finals.
We will probably find a way to make it difficult for us. Finals are rarely high scoring encounters anyway since every player mostly tries to play out of their skin and give it their all. My bet is on 2-1 victory to United. Imagine being 2-0 up and we concede then in 80th minute. Then, for ten mins, we face a barrage of Villarreal attacks having to do goal line clearances. Will make the final whistle and the victory all the more sweet.

Sounds like something we would do.
    I prefer 2 - 0 though.

Bruno scored some great goals with Sporting in this competition though.

I think so but Donny’s performance against Wolves puts him in the frame, and if the midfield isn’t clicking or too safe, He’s the man to open them up

Is anyone in Poland to watch the game? Just saw the news about some of our fans getting attacked.

Odds are against us. Emery an EL master and Spanish sides winning 15 European finals out of 15. If Maguire isn't ready its a huge problem too.
Hope we can pull out a great performance and win it. We had a good campaign and it would be a shame to spoil it right at the end.

Everyone and their mother is expecting McFred to start. Emery certainly will be banking on that and will press us. Without Maguire to provide even a little sense of calm, it certainly would be the way to go. There is endless video of us play out the back that will show we just aren't very good when pressed well.

Just don't see it with Ole but, he it could be ideal to pull a surprise and let Pogba play along side Fred, let him break the press with his passing or ability to take on players and go past them.

I know starting Greewood and Rashford then really limits the impact players we have off the bench but, rather we bank on winning it from the off then having to hedge on making something happen later. If that's the case then let Amad, VDB, Elanga or even James and just go for it

Still going 1-0 via a Bruno penalty. Villarreal players will be throwing themselves on the floor early doors to get a few yellows for us. I hope we start well instead of the usual slow passing sideways stuff. Go for them from minute one and don’t stop.

This won't be a walk in the park. Emery knows how to set up for these games and we struggle against compact teams.

I assume you mean Villarreal. They finished 7th, two places below Sociedad and two places above Granada. Sevilla were 4th.
