apart from his shooting, fortunately! He's looked super assured tonight. Impressive.

ThisHe’s got about 6 midfielders defending 5 yards ahead of him. This is nothing the likes of Tarkowski or Dunk would do against us in the league in tetchy away games
I thought he looked very good and composed. Albiol too. Though Varane is my preference.Didn't look outstanding. Villarreal set up to drop deep, his job was made easy. Good pen but certainly didn't look like he could become next level.
Do you watch footy with a calculator?Bailly did more defending than Torres did and we had 60% of the ball
I don't think he had a bad game. The point is, he wasn't really tested as the whole of his side got set up in defence mode. This was not the match to judge him on.I thought he looked very good and composed. Albiol too. Though Varane is my preference.
Not the match, but one of them and a European final. His greatest attribute compared to Varane is that he's left footed IMV.I don't think he had a bad game. The point is, he wasn't really tested as the whole of his side got set up in defence mode. This was not the match to judge him on.
AlbiolIf you had a choice on tonight's performance who would you have
Lindelof, Bailly or Torres?

This makes no odds really when he rarely needed to show his defensive skills. I'm not saying he isn't decent but I've read posts like 'a Rolls Royce performance' etc... That's a little excessive on tonight's game. In our side, for example, he wouldn't get that kind of protection and he would be expected to do more 1v1 defending. Some people judge CBs based on how "cool" they look on the ball and not making an obvious defensive cock up leading to a goal. Sure, I wasn't in love with this performance, just thought he looked composed and assured. Which I'm led to believe is what he looks normally. And he's a starter for Spain, so we'll see this summer. In any case, seems to be closer to Real than United, if rumours from Spain are to be believed. This makes no odds really when he rarely needed to show his defensive skills. true. The only reason I want him is because he’s a very beautiful man to look at.
Exactly, there was nothing tonight to single him out as the ideal partner for Maguire. He’s got about 6 midfielders defending 5 yards ahead of him. This is nothing the likes of Tarkowski or Dunk wouldn’t do against us in the league in tetchy away games
So would I sitting deep. He's another Lindelof. See how he plays 1v1 against any opponent high up the pitchHe's looked super assured tonight. Impressive.
