Fantastic manager. Feel we missed out badly here.

Chelsea feel like Liverpool did in 17/18. Except instead of a solid attack, they have a solid defence. A prolific goal scorer could have a Van Dijk impact on them.

Chelsea made the important call when a top manager was available. It sickens me how poorly we are run by an inept board

They've got their reward for replacing a former player with a top tier manager who knows what he's doing.

Safe to say he's done a pretty good job.

In fairness, you could see the difference in how well they were coached very quickly anyway.

What a fecking masterclass that was, and there were people here actually saying he didn't improve Chelsea that much.

Absolutely controlled a CL final from start to finish. Tactically they were geniuses. Work rate they ran their socks off the entire game.

He made them the same old Chelsea. A non stopping machine.

No one will convince me ever again a top manager doesn’t make a difference,

This Chelsea team have went from were getting battered by mid table PL teams to finishing top 4 and looking like winning the fecking UCL!

And no I am not bashing Ole here I am bashing our horrendous board who have no clue what they are doing or any vision,

Fair fecks to Roman, will always put Chelsea first, we could sign Varane, Kane, Sancho and Lionel Messi this summer and still would have the same issues we have now, until we sign a new board we’re done
It shows that having a top manager who got the job because he is good at his job is more important than having a club legend who knows the club if you want to have succes.

They've got their reward for significant investment last summer. That's how to do a transfer window.
I think it was more to do with upgrading on managers more then their transfer window. Especially when most of the players they signed haven't had that big of an impact.

Ah, so this will be the agenda. Strange how their signings have been mostly failures and their fortunes only reversed once Lampard was sacked for a proper manager.

Hope, We Lose
So turns out the best method was the opposite of what we did. We spent our money on youth and players that didnt feature much this season and we stuck with our old boy Ole.

Chelsea outspent the premier league teams for players to come straight into the team and when Lampard couldnt get the new signings going, they signed the manager that was in the champions league final last year and their reward is winning the champions league

Classless to sack a club legend who knows the club and was stabilizing it after tumultuous times under Conte and Sarri. A few more transfer windows and I think they would’ve been there or thereabouts under Frank :wenger:

quite some new manager bounce, that
Reminds me of some other german coach who took over midseason and won the CL. ;)

I guess at this point you just need to hire an unemployed german coach in the middle of the season to win the CL. :p

Qatar Saint Germain must be feeling pretty gutted at firing this guy and replacing him with Pochettino.

The job he's done since coming into Chelsea is incredible. They had a solid squad but holy shit, without having a star attacker, a world class player in Kante and then solid around them... deserved champions league winners.
