So he's officially not joining the England squad for the Euros, so no reason not to get things wrapped up sharpish. Had an outstanding loan move, raised his value significantly and has a year left on his deal and quite low down the pecking order at United. A tap-in for the moneymen to make some money for a change.

I could trawl through the rumours a month ago, but I've not seen many updates. West Ham like him, that's obvious. He likes the free role and he suits their setup.

Where to now, and for how much?

£15 million? - perhaps £20 if a few clubs make an offer?

Everton, West ham, Spurs - you know mid table clubs who have higher aspirations

Actually think a move abroad might suit him but not sure somebody will take a £20m punt on him moving to another country

Hopefully sooner rather than later, and we can be a bit decisive in the market this time around, and well in time for pre-season. 20m would be great. And I also think realistic, despite the year left. For West Ham, he'd be well worth it.

I think west ham is the best move for him and we should be asking for 15 million given his recent good form and the extra interest it’s created.

Neither he nor we will be in particular hurry. Since we did a pretty decent job at cleaning up the squad in the past year we have room for new incoming in the 25man squad without needing to sell first like last summer (even with returning loanees).
If a club wants to offer the market price then yeah sure he can go quickly, but the West-Ham's and what not will likely try to drag the price down for as long as possible.
For now he will go on holiday, consider his options while his agent does some groundwork checking around. If he goes it will likely be in the last 3-4 weeks of the window.

West Ham as part of a deal for Rice or AV as part of a deal for Grealish or Spurs as part of a deal for Kane.
Can't see him going abroad due to his family situation.

Just seems like an Arsenal player.

Would love to confuse Saka by showing him we are interested.

I could see him joining Jose at Roma.
Not a bad shout - reckon he'd be excellent there and also have potential to join a club that could get CL football which I think is unlikely in PL.

Was thinking he could be offered to Dortmund as part of the Sancho deal - he's a good option across attacking positions and I think he'd actually suit their setup well.

Surprised seeing price suggested here, 10m? 15m?

Buendia goes for 39m (1 goals in PL)? An English international with experience at United, he should go for at least 25m, even if he has 1 year left.

With our negotiation team in charge, this is a realistic price. We just do not know how to sell our unwanted players at high prices. Chelsea consistently manages to do it.

But I agree, he should be in the 20-25M range

If Norwich can squeeze £33m for Buendia il compromise and say £26m upwards for Jesse

He's on a massive wage and in the last year of his contract. £20M is the fair, maximum we'll probably get for him.

Yeah would take any of those deals but think only the first one is remotely possible

His current form is dependent upon him playing all the time and in his favourite position, neither of which will happen. Plus, there is more expectation.
I don't know about that. Previously before his shocking dip due to off field problems he played very well. I think he has found himself again.

Truth be told I think his favorite to leave. But I would not be surprised if he stayed and shocks many by keeping his form. Even as a squad regular.

The fact he wants out, has a year on his contract, £10m for us would be a decent return
No way. With the success he had at West Ham and considering other players that are fetching fees in the 30-40 million range, there surely should be reason to hope for 25-30 at least. He's just proved he can make a very good PL side better and be a key player for a club like that, and nearly made the England squad, at one of the most competitive positions. He'd have been chosen over James Maddison, for example. And I very much doubt anyone would even bother to bid less than 50m for him.

Yeah, you’d like to get a good sum for him?
Sure, but hear this: we play hardball and reject all bids. Then let him hang around wherever in the world he pleases for his last year before letting him leave on a free - having paid around £5 million in wages for his last year with no appearances. The proper United way.

Do I detect a note of pessimism? Even a certain lack of total confidence in the club's negotiators?

Feet up at home.
We know how this works - it will be 12m and a lovely message to wish him well.

Nothing against him personally he's been through some shite that we didn't know about.

Good test if anything has changed in our selling skills department. We're basically the worst club in world football at selling players surplus to requirements. Let's see if a post-Ed world is any better.
