Why would Pogba want to leave United now?

He doesn't want to leave, he wants to stay and get a big fat pay check that will put him ahead of De Gea.

Real and Barca are up financial shit creek and cant afford his salary or transfer fee with other priorities. Juve and PSG are his only other options and we don't even know if PSG are interested at all.
He's French and from Paris. If he helps France again in the Euros, PSG would be the natural destination.

Whether he stays or not, he’s holding all the cards.... I’d guess he’ll stay and leave on a free.

Why would Pogba want to leave? To win stuff at Club level. He is not doing that at United.

Utd will probably wait until 2 weeks before the end of the window, realise hes running down his contract and will try and sell him. He will then go for a real low price which they could have doubled if they acted sooner.

I’d probably leave if I was him, I certainly wouldn’t sign a new contract this summer. I’d be waiting to see our transfer activity and whether we can mount a title challenge before even considering it. If we can’t then back to Italy or maybe Paris for a monster contract, more titles and less pressure.

We can only sell him if there’s a buyer. You say we could have doubled the price sooner, but to what club? If anyone had really wanted him they would have put an offer in. Has anyone actually made a proper approach for him?

I mean we would probably have to accept £10-£20 mill if we wait. If we acted now we could probably get £30 maybe £40 mill for him.

It can only be about the money but that begs the question why come in the 1st place? If you’re coming to Utd you’re coming because of a love of the club, it’s history, your ambition. If you want money go to City, go to Chelsea, go to Liverpool, go to Arsenal. If money’s his motivation then I’m not surprised he’s wanting out - he’s seeing the likes of Pepe, Werner, Ake, Jota on more money than him. But again - why come?

Hahahaha

If I were him I'd have given my everything for the badge. I'd have ran through brick walls for the club and fans.

How about let's start there before implying he's too good for us eh? He most certainly isn't either.

Doubt any of those players are on more money than him. He came back to be part of a team that get back to winning major trophies or at least compete for them. That obviously hasn't happened in a period when 4 English teams have competed in the CL final and United isn't one of them.

Fair to say, he's an ambitious guy and he doesn't have much time left for another project he might believe has very little chance of being successful.

No were at the top of that pile in players coming here for the money. Sanchez great example. Di Maria another. De Gea to leave unless we made him by far the highest paid player in the league

I am sorry to say you will be disappointed with the reality. The draw to players for any club are money, sporting project, playing time, the city and culture. Of course the status of the club plays a part too, but love of the club i doubt is one of them.

Simple....He's looking for one big last paycheck and i pray to God United aren't dumb enough to put him on a massive 4 yr contract as that'll be a waste of money especially the last two years of the contract

He's only 28. I'm sure Pogba @ 32 will still be a world class player.

top post. You will get lots of shit for it…

he’s an excellent player, but not consistent enough to be WC.
that's ok i don't mind if people give me shit for that statement b/c it's just truth. He's got the talent to be world class and at times he puts in that type of performance but he's the most inconsistent top talented player that i can remember in quite some time. It's almost like when Torres left Liverpool for Chelsea and immediately looked like a completely different player.

You'd knock his ambition if he'd joined City, Chelsea or Liverpool instead of us with the trophies they've won in the last few years? Or go to Arsenal for the money?

What did Sanchez come for? Why do players and agents bend us over for cash?

He's not world class now so how at 32 will he be world class?
Spot on, 5 mins of top quality a season does not make him world class. I honestly think his fan boys just watch his youtube highlights. If you actually watch him all season he is the most frustrating player I've seen in a Utd shirt. The last year has probably been his most consistent with us, but I genuinely believe that is because he realised no one can afford to buy him. He doesn't want to be here, he only cares about his own brand and his reputation and he is represented by that fat greaseball mino troll-ola. I'd happily sell him for what we can get and reinvest in a top hard working midfielder who can control a games tempo and retain the ball, not a supposedly world class midfielder who has to be played wide left as our manager can't trust him to do the basics.

Yes he'll probably have a great euros, but it's played at a snails pace and he has Kante to do his dirty work. Hopefully a good tournament will reignite the market for him. Then I never want to be involved with another player represented by Riola as it damages the clubs reputation and undermines anything and everything we try to build. Imagine spending the £100million on Haland next year to have Riola trying to flog him to Madrid in the media for the duration of his contract.

I cannot wait until we're down to Brexit FC and some of the experts on here can enjoy Burnley in red.

Pogba will be gone on a free next summer because we didn't sell him when it was time. The only chance of him staying was if someone like a Varane came over but that seems well and truly over.

You think only United has a history? All clubs have rich history and Chelsea and City are making their own.

All are great football clubs in the end and for a professional, which ever club pays more and has the better management and team and as a result better chance of winning trophies, becomes more attractive to the professional players.

For example at this moment, City are admittedly way better proposition than United in all aspects.

He wants to leave for sure. We should have cashed in on him many a year back. That ship 'full of cash' long sailed.

I think many clubs will still be willing to dish out > £40m for his services this season. The valuation will drop to < £20 m in the winter transfer window. There's no point waiting for him to run down his contract and leave for free next year.

Based on our past conversations, I don' think you'd fall into that target group funnily enough.

On another note, Pogba again proved today what a good player he is. But, as most of us realise and know, he needs good, technical players around him. Such a shame we never built around him and now he'll go to PSG/Real on a free next year.

Yeah terrible thing to say....

“we must put ourselves at the service of the collective. In Manchester, as in blue, the collective will always come before the player”
that's at the very tail end but the entire premise behind the interview is that he feels restricted playing for United and doesn't feel he fits the system that Ole wants to play with him at the 8

felt more comfortable playing at Juve and with France than he does for United. This is the guy you want to sign for another 4 years and 375k per wk??? piss off pogba

He’s good when he has players that do all the dirty work for him.

Are you trying to make a pertinent point?

Apart from the fact he was a beast in tackles today, Pogba has always been an attacking player.

Like many, I wouldnt mind if he left tbh. But if he stays we should be building the team around him as he's our best player.

He has let us down since being here with performances and we have let him down with the team around him at the times.
He was the last piece of the puzzle at a already great team and is not one to drag a average team to being great. You can see with France it’s a different player
