Think Cheisa has to start with way he ended the season for Juve, big part of how they got in top 4 in the end.
Yeah indeed, but thought Berardi was their main man beforehand. We'll find out soon enough

Think Berardi will start (but who knows).
It all depends on if Mancini wants more defensive or offensive on RW.
In my opinion Berardi is better offensive but Chiesa is better defensive, my guess, and its only a guess is that Berardi will start and Chiesa will sub for Insigne/Berardi.

Thought they would struggle to score against Turkey but fair play to them.

Turkey were very underwhelming though. Offered absolutely nothing in offence.

Looking at their offence, it's what was to be expected against this italian team. They don't have good players in these positions, simple as

Love watching them. And that's just belting out the anthem at the start.

Will go very close to making the final I suspect.

They look good, but Switzerland are like a pub team. They just couldn't be arsed. Will be interested to see this Italy team against a team that's actually trying to win a game of football.

Can only beat who is front of you and theyve dominated so far

Very promising start from the Azzurri and Mancini.

Expecting their tie with Wales to be exciting even if they may rest some key players.

True, they're such an exciting team to watch. Wouldn't be surprised if the best game of the tournament involves them.

I stuck a tenner on Italy to win the tournament at the start. I see them as dark horses and there odds was quality so was worth a go. Everyone else as mainly gone for France/Portugal and Belgium.

Good so far but don't see them winning the tournament.

Not a question of peaking early. We just don't have the talent to beat a team like France

They haven't tbf, I just thought they were poor against turkey :nervous:
But they really weren't, they absolutely dominated and 3:0 didn't flatter them at all. This Italian team is really playing top, top football.

Italy 12 points, a joy to watch, can they do it against the other candidates, don't know but for the moment I enjoy their games. Curious to see how they will do the rest of the tournament. Possible QF against Belgium.

France and Portugal are the two sides we have absolutely zero chance against
Ahaha this guy is always repeating that. Last time we played at the San Siro we don’t know how we didn’t lost that game. Even Santos recognised we were very lucky. Oh and he knows what he means when he talks about luck. He is preparing to throw more midfielders to the 11 to take a point against Germany.

Best team in the tournament until now. Problem is best team doesn't always win the cup.. Think France will nick it

Mancini has Italy playing in front foot. The midfield gives them so much of balance.

If I remember well we were already qualified, nations league. I don't remember that game, strange, the game before that - the last Italy lost - I remember, we won 1-0 but it was a one direction game with a lot of chances for us, if it ended 5-1 or so the italians couldn't complain.

Don't know if they are the best team so far in the tournament, but they for sure the most beautiful team to watch untill now, best and beautiful aren't always and in football often not the same teams.

They look absolutely sensational. Such a joy to watch, struggle to find any weaknesses in the team.

Uhm not really, If I am not wrong we were already qualified when he received Poland at home. But it was a game where Ronaldo didn't played (entire Nations League) and we played Pizzi on the midfield, after 60 minutes he was completely broken when he left the pitch.

Seriously, on the first half their midfield murdered us, the difference was that Barella was still at Cagliari and instead Locatelli it was Verrati, it was the first time I noticed the fluidity and pressing of their midfield trio. At least playing at home they are as good as any team in Europe. And I have seen us playing at France and Spain (even suffering a lot recently on a friendly in Madrid too).

Lucky? We managed to create like two chances in 70 minutes and then you could have scored 4 in the last 20...

More to the point: you have the kind of quality and game winners up top we don't have, with enough quality to break through our press(or press us in turn), and a good defence

Not saying you'd hammer us, but it would ultimately come down to Immobile and Insigne vs Cristiano and Bruno...

Great performance once more. But I agree they're peaking too early, they wont win it.

I really don't think they are peaking.

This is how they've been playing for about 2 years now. If anything these first two matches have shown their versatility, against Turkey they played a very high pressing/possession based game and absolutely smothered them. Today, they sat off of the Swiss a bit more, absorbed some pressure and countered very effectively. Switzerland also pressed them high in the 2nd half, which was a good test, as Italy want to play out from the back 99% of the time.

They've also done this without their best player, Locatelli has filled in very nicely, but Verratti is one of the best midfielders in the world. I just wish Zaniolo was fit for this tournament, as he gives the team a whole different dynamic.

Nah in Italy we would suffer with that midfield trio, at Portugal the game would be different, on a neutral stadium I would predict a game where we would be conservative at best.

A joy to watch. Never thought I'd feel like this about an Italy team.

They've looked pretty impressive so far but I'd still be confident that we beat them in the QFs if we both get there.
