I’d never be arsed to play it but Flight Simulator is such a cool piece of technology.
I have gamepass for PC so I downloaded it a few months ago.

Played it twice and had no idea what the feck i was doing  might try it again using a controller to see if its any easier to pick up

Yeh that’s the issue. It’s way too niche for me even if it’s very cool. I feel like you do need to be either a pilot or a plane nerd to fully appreciate it.

Horizon is a great series. I don't get why they continue to dumb down motorsport when they have this.
It's just not a console seller though. If I ever get a Series X I'll definitely grab the Forza games with it.

This E3 is just confirming there's no point in me even considering Xbox until the back end of 2022 at the earliest.

Not a lot being shown that actually interests me, but it's nice to see Xbox making an attempt to woo me back after the ugly 2013 breakup.

Worst Xbox conference I've seen in a long time. Other then Halo, Not a single game other then even piqued my interest.

So basically as feared they showed a load of fairly average games coming straight onto game pass, before going very quickly over the actual exciting games which will release in 3/4 years from now.

Maybe too early to say but don't think Redfall seems particularly interesting.

I’d probably buy that fridge if it’s priced reasonably. Good crack that

also. Didn’t know we were in 2018. 2022 4 years ago and all that

It's impossible to draw any conclusions from the CG trailers. Unfortunately most of the big reveals were CG trailers. Next year hopefully they show some gameplay.

Thought it was OK. The "one more thing" was very disappointing and as as far as I could see they didn't show any gameplay of Redfall?

For me Plague Tale, Stalker 2 and Somerville looked like they could be good. Starfield will be, but they didn't show anything of it so I will wait for gameplay.

What a shite conference. Only good games were Halo and Plague Tale. Every game just looks so meh. One time I got excited was when they showed Age of Empires and that was the only game NOT coming to Xbox . Feck off.

It's pretty much what I expected. I would have liked a gameplay demo of Starfield but with the rumours that it was November 22 I didn't expect it.

A disappointing show then?

Hopefully SE will give us some good announcements. Hoping to see FFXVI at the very least.
Not at all, a really good show with very little talk and loads of games.

It could have had more gameplay but maybe people haven't been paying attention to the situation we live in right now or noticed the quality of the other conferences (which didn't have a 10th of the content). Even Halo campaign had no gameplay, because ultimately everybody is focusing on creating the game and for the most part the conference was gameplay montages which are much easier to produce and take less resources.

For all those who think I'd say that anyway, check my ratings every other year which have often been C and I think last year or one before was a D

For anybody with Gamepass to see 27 games coming to gamepass.. it was class. That train ain't stopping anytime soon.

I'm in the same boat. Can't draw conclusions from a CG trailer, but nothing very exciting seemed to be happening there. Dishonored 2 and Prey were two of my favourite games last gen, but I'm worried Arkane have moved away from making that kind of game.

I’m just catching up now - if Gamepass is your thing then seeing 27 games coming is great. For myself and others who really want some killer games to convince us to buy, perhaps it’s disappointing in that respect.

Officially the best poker player on RAWK.
It was ok, but underwhelming. Everything shown was common knowledge, not a huge amount of gameplay from the big hitters and the defence of Halo is laughable considering the campaign was all but done a while ago, it's the backlash to the shocking graphics they are still working on. Coming from a Halo background, I'm still incredibly wary of what this will be.

But there were games, even if most of the 27 were exactly what you expect from gamepass games. And for that, we should be thankful.

Devs on Redfall have good pedigree. Impossible to tell from that CG trailer.

It's dated for summer 2022. Being CG was a choice around development resources I'd imagine (can easily be outsourced allowing team to focus on building the game) than being because it's too far away from being released as in previous years.

My predictions this morning pretty much called the whole conference to be fair!

I thought Sony would have Hades wrapped up so absolutely buzzing to see that. I almost bought it on Switch multiple times (which tbf seems like a great place to play that type of game, if you do use it handheld)

Maybe. We knew the killer games would come later though if you aren't a halo/Forza Horizon fan (if you were, you'd already have an Xbox).

2023/2024 are already looking absolutely stacked if you consider the games announced and the studios we don't even know about yet.

Redfall and Starfield may well be killer apps but obviously impossible to tell from what they showed today.

The killer app is gamepass though if you like console and not PC. I wouldn't trade it for any 5 Sony/Nintendo franchises.

Gamepass is pretty overrated. It's about quality, not quantity. I already have a backlog of around 30 games I need to get around to playing, it just isn't as great as you make out. I'd honestly prefer one Returnal or Ratchet quality game every year rather than 1000 dross titles to play for 20 minutes then drop into the abyss.

I have it. And a PS5. And it's the best thing in gaming for me and has meant I game a lot more in the past year than in the 3 years before it.

For some, it isn't that appealing and playing a handful of high quality games is better.

Each to their own.

Out of interest what do you think of PS now?
