Ultimately, letting Coman leave would be a bad idea, I sure hope they can come to an agreement soon.

Every time I see this guy play he impresses me. A lot! Problem is its usually for the last 15-20 mins in every game whether it be club or country. Realize the competition in the French squad but he should be starting on the other side of the pitch than Mbappe. Very much like Rashford in his style of play although sharper imo and a level higher. People saying he's another Welbeck must be deluding themselves.

Pardew 'wanted pace'
If I were liken him to current players it'd probably be somewhere between Hazard and Sterling. Close control, rarely wastes possession, can use both feet and accelerate well, not a 'proper' finisher.

Surprised more isn't made of him considering he's won everything!

For me the one guy who United should go all out for. Ahead of Sancho for me in terms of tactical fit.

I can't remember why I joined this war.

His biggest problem is consistency. He can have absolute world-class performances at times, but they are usually mixed in with a lot of average performances, at least that is the impression I got from his Bayern career so far.

He is one of the few wingers who actually can get past defenders on the wings nowadays. He improved technically a lot in the last 2 years. In the first years, he had some deficit in ballcontrol and ballhandling.

The only weakness is really that he could be more efficient and still do better in finishing and the final pass. I don't know if its because Bayern has such a good goalscorer in Lewandowksi but I am convinced he would have better scoring stats in teams without a real striker, like City or Liverpool.

Would be great if we could sign him in addition to Sancho, & flog Martial. But will never happen for the price Bayern would want.

But that would instantly transform our wide options to some of the best out there.

He might not be a starter for France but for Bayern he is. When all wingers (Coman, Gnabry, Sané, Costa, Musiala*) are fit Coman is starting.

I’ve not watched him much and only the occasional game - what is it that he does that Martial doesn’t do that’s worth us possibly having to spend quite a lot to get him?

I mean we arguably just on the verge of buying Sancho - does coman add something different to what we already have?

I also hate buying from Bayern Munich because the players end up hardly being great if they initiated the sale.

He's more of a creative winger than Martial is in terms of playing style. In terms of his performances, he's way more consistent and a more reliable attacking player. He seems to handle the pressure moments better than Martial does.

In terms of his transfer situation, Bayern Munich want to keep him 100%. The problem is that his entourage are making this difficult. Apparently, his father in conjunction with Pini Zahavi is making it difficult for Bayern to renew his contract. Even though Coman himself told Bayern that he wants to stay, there is some slight potential of him leaving (probably not this summer, but the next). That's why United are keeping tabs on him as well as Liverpool, who've only recently expressed their interest.

To be honest if Bayern do want to keep him then it does tell me a lot too. Thanks.

He looks very good today. Top class but at the same time an injury prone.

We were so close to schweinsteiger you guys again, but kingsley probably just wants to stay.
If the prem is half as demanding on your body as people make it up to be he would not last a season.

He plays with quite an interesting playstyle, you could imagine him hugging the touchline like an old school winger and having his full back on toast back in the day. But now with teams being fairly compact there are a few less opportunities to do that from a wide forward position as it's often better to just find an overlap or some other pass but he still seems to find plenty of ways to beat people. Very entertaining.

Hope he's not injured. It always costs him. He will never be world class, his passing and finishing isn't good enough for that. But his acceleration in 1 vs. 1 is truly insane. His work rate is also quite good and for a winger his contribution in defense is also good.

Nagelsmann already told that he wants to additionally establish a 3-4-1-2 at Bayern. I'd really like to try Coman as a right wing back. He needs space for his game and in a 3-4-1-2 (or 2-1 at the front) the 3 attackers obviously play more in the middle which doesn't suit him.

But I really think he could shine as RWB.
The system would also bring out the best in some other players of us I think, especially Davies and Lucas

---------------------Lewy------------------------
-------------Müller-----Gnabry--------------
Davies-Kimmich-Goretzka-Coman
-----Lucas--Upamecano--Süle--------
---------------------Neuer-----------------------

I'd really like to see this

They discovered it after he said he did not feel very well by doing a long-term ECG. That and the 2 weeks out all suggests that this really was a minor issue, but surely good it was discovered and apparently fixed without big trouble

My dad has an irregular heart beat and I think he’s had similar surgery. They basically go in and burn the cells in the heart that are causing issues. It’s very minor.

Doesn't sound too serious, but best of luck and speedy recovery to our boy King.
