I’ve only ever seen clips of him, no long segments.

Is he satire? Like is he a character or is that actually him? The fact that I have to ask this doesn’t really bode well.
I’m not entirely sure. He created the channel because of the ‘gap in the market’ and does support the team. I think he also supports Forest so not sure how that bodes with other fans.

To change your name and create a completely different persona doesn’t look great in terms of proving your not a ‘fake fan’ but if you watch him he does support the club like any other fan.

I don’t watch much of him as his videos get repetitive and quite frankly boring but he knows how to act in front of an audience so have to give him credit for that.

I really wonder about the intelligence of people who fall for this fraud. He has as much inside knowledge of these transfers as my cat.

Yet after every tweet that is just copying another tweet he read elsewhere followed by him backtracking and trying to cover every scenario before he then tweets a closed deal 30 minutes after its done and everyone already knows and people lap it up

Strange
I honestly question the intelligence of people who say he is a fraud. What do you think he is claiming to be?

I see his IG stories as the most reliable place for transfer news. Other journos post something and he regularly steps out and says it's rubbish, and I'd say is right 80pc of the time. Other times a story breaks that isn't his and he gives a view on it, which is very useful.

Even if he just aggregates others tweets and says which is true and which isn't, and gets it right 80pc of the time, isn't that useful ?

I really don't understand why people get upset over this. If he only says here we go when the deal is done... Isn't that useful ? Ita not like he says it when the deal is announced, and pretending he does is ridiculous

People are just jealous of his work rate, myself included. He's become a little more clickbaity, commercial and aggregating lately but still the most trustworthy source you could find.

It's amusing how riled up people get on here about Romano. He becomes a bigger talking point than the transfer rumours
Have to rate it. His "Here we Go" tweet on Sancho had more favourites and retweets than the official Man United one which confirmed a deal is agreed in principle.

He has said on the channel that the Forest rumour was created by other rival channels (presumably Howson at Full Time Devils) to discredit their channel. He has also said multiple times he started supporting United because of his Grandad who passed away. Not sure how true any of that is, but it is interesting to note that United Stand, AFTV and other some Liverpool channels (Redmen TV or something named similar?) have collaborated but the two main United fan channels have never done so as far as I know. So there definitely appears to be some genuine dislike between the two sets of channels.

Regarding the name, he has already addressed that multiple times. He did it because he used to work in the police force. His real name is Brent. He could be lying of course, but the company is registered under his real name.

I agree with your last point too. The channel gets pretty boring during transfer season in particular, where it regurgitates the same news to "discuss news" and obviously that news is mostly trash because all the main journalists like Romano and co constantly rewrite and republish stuff.

I generally do not have a problem with Romano or fan channels milking it. For sports journalists, it is partly their job. It is also clear that a lot of them do have genuine sources. I also do not have a problem with fan channels. They can be good for entertainment (e.g. AFTV after a loss) and if fans do not like it then the solution is simple - don't watch it.

This reminds me of those ITK bellends over on Reddit. Why's he doing a Twitch stream and making shit up? Just put out a couple of tweets a week. How much attention does one man need?

P.S. The Reddit ITK's are back and they're just as terrible as before

Never thought id see the day where technolody has advanced so much that someone could literaly post news or rumours he read elsewhere on twitter and Here We Go TV that he created for money.

He is obviously nothing like the "ITK's" because for starters, he actually puts his name to tweets and secondly, he is a journalist who has written articles in the past. Just living rent free in your head at this point :D

Not really, this is the first ever comment I've made about Romero and I generally don't give a shit about transfer rumours for the most part. Simply questioning how much attention one person needs in muppet season. I said it reminds me of the Reddit ITK's, not that it is the same thing.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.

Simply ignore him if you think he's a fake. Romano or anyone else is not forcing us to read his tweets.

Pretty much spot on. Sometimes a quick look at these channels will give you the up to date news quicker than searching for it yourself, so well worth the search every now and again. I do t watch it enough to see that he has addressed what’s what but he does seem to like Romano and has him on the channel each window from what I have seen.

It's how he makes money. The more attention then the more money and the more contacts he gets. It's very simple. He's in his 20s so used to the internet and is using it well to make a living for himself. Someone like Simon Stone or Jamie Jackson wouldn't be able to do what he does. Or Di Marzio. Being young and multilingual helps him out here.

It's funny seeing all the fan youtube channels who spent years slagging off the press and sky about how they aren't representative of football supporters and fan culture, now spend most of their time flogging off shaving equipment and betting websites. The clickbait videos on transfers are god awful.

Anything to pay the rent I guess.

I think the 2 obvious signs of a transfer bullshitter are

1. Has knowledge of every single significant transfer in Europe. No one can have the inside scoop with every single club and every single agent. There are journos who report on 1 or 2 clubs for 20 years to build up the neccessary contacts to get the inside information on their dealings, and yet some random Italian guy has managed to get these contacts at every club in Europe.
2. Has a level of detail that suggests he's sat the negotiating table himself. When he's reporting that "the 2 clubs are this far apart in their valuation" right down to the penny, you have to get the feeling he's just plucking information out his hole.

I'm sure he does have some contacts, but it's mixed in with plenty of piggybacking off others, guesswork and general statements that cover all bases.

You're asking for common sense on the Transfer forum. That's a step too far.
