Elanga is anyway
The way he is looking there I think Marcus can go and have that operation he needs and give Elanga first crack at the LW spot this season.

Dean Henderson faked his injury so that he can play pre season and start the 1st pl game.

That last pic of Telles thumbs up perspective it weird. His legs are in front of Pellistri but his upper body appears behind.

It’s so strange looking. Telles looks like an absolute giant because of the perspective too.

Donny's injured and AWB might have been given extended time off due to the amount of football he played last season (4700 minutes).
Makes sense about AWB and Donny but, wonder what's up with Martial. He had posted being on a treadmill not too long ago.

Jesus. The lad looks in incredible shape.

Looks like he has the fitness and dedication to make it..... hopefully he has the talent. If he does, we will be seeing him as regular.

Last season started pretty early compared to how late the previous season ended. Added to that last season was hectic with random cancellations and a thing squad. I am worried about the fatigue and match readyness. Obviously I am certain that the staff has considered that as well, but we had a good season in terms of injury, so here is hoping for another good one!

There are high hopes within the club for him. He looks like a supreme athlete. Lets hope he can establish himself at the club.

I did really like the look of him in his short cameo appearances. Fingers crossed he makes it here.

It does look incredible but you might be underestimating the amount of dedication and fitness it takes to even be playing regularly for the B side/Reserves at a club like Man United. His body does look insane though and the little I've seen of Elanga, the boy looks hungry. I say we throw him in!

First game of the season is August 14th... if we assume everyone gets 3 weeks off, and then need 3 weeks of training to be match fit to start... could be looking at something like this to start the season? (Assuming no sales, and assuming everyone left in euros or Copa starts vacation next Monday, which means they'd be back for the Southampton or Wolves games (game 2 or 3)). Also would mean Bailly and Amad probably unavailable for the start due to the Olympics.

Henderson
Wan Bissaka Tuanzebe Lindelof Telles
McTominay Pogba
Greenwood Bruno James
Martial

Cavani, VdB, Lingard, Mata, Matic the bench. Possibility for it to be too soon for Pogba/Bruno/Lindelof/Cavani as they were in the knockout stages, so could be VdB, Lingard and who knows at the back starting that first game. Though I think they should be fine. Plenty of time to recover.

De Gea, Rashford, Sancho, Maguire, Shaw and Fred the guys who will likely miss the start. Pogba, Bruno, Cavani and Lindelof likely to miss a good chunk of pre-season I'd bet too.

I would see no reason why the likes of Rashford and Sancho couldn't start. They have barely featured in the competition. They will be training but after a couple of weeks rest, should be good to go IMO.

I'd be money that won't be the team, some players may be given an extended break (Shaw maybe given his tendency to get injured) but I've very little doubt Maguire and Sancho will be playing against Leeds

Definitely think an extended break will apply to Cavani/Shaw/Pogba, Rashford hopefully gets his surgery to sort out his injury, and then Bruno should get an extended break as he's played more than anyone over the past year but I'm not sure he will. Have to keep in mind that it'll likely take 3 weeks to get them match fit again though, so I don't think that's enough time for any of the semi finalists or finalists to be ready for the first game. We saw what happened last season when we missed a pre season. Enough guys available to cover anyway.

Theyre still training and getting match fit for every game, and Rashford has been carrying injuries for a long time. Sancho also won't be rushed in as a new signing when he won't have time to train with the team properly. Maguire I'd say is the only one who might well get rushed back in, but the others I think will and should be cautiously handled.

Maguire might/should be back early, he is had enough rest to be honest.
