Episode 4 was excellent, but every single fight choreography is absolutely horrible. I know that it's not supposed to be action series, but it's hard to watch sometimes

Really trying to like it, but it's just not gelling with me yet. I don't think I really like the Loki character without Thor.

I really like the setting and how it looks, even the overegged CGI stuff, but that's about it.

The casting is a real mixed bag. I like Mobius and B15 but lady Loki and the boss woman feel like they'd be better suited to Dr Who or Hollioakes.
Funnily enough, she was in a few episodes of it

Given there is only 2 episodes left, ep 3 does seem like it was a bit of a filler (haha that word)

Enjoyed episode 5. end game next week and hope we get a really good answer In the finale (and not a flat joke one like with a wandavision reveal)

Also
The bunch of lokis betrayal scene was hilarious

Was another great episode, with more easter eggs and some funny moments.

Best show Marvel have done so far.

Thanos-copter!!!

Good episode. Sets up the finale nicely. The Lokis fighting was hilarious. The audio & visual effects at the end were very impressive for a TV show.

Would be disappointing if it’s another WandaVision style reveal. I didn’t mind it in WV, but doing the same again would be annoying.

I’m fairly sure it will be
Kang who is revealed to be behind the TVA & they’ll possibly set him up as a big bad for Phase 4. There are too many Easter Eggs in the last couple of episodes & the connection to Ravonna makes sense for it to be him. Maybe Loki/Sylvie disrupting Kang/his plans in the finale is what causes the multiverse chaos for the upcoming movies. I’m still waiting for the chaos to ensue!

In terms of who will be behind everything....

Thematically and structurally it makes more sense to me for it to be a Loki, as opposed to introducing some villain we haven't seen before at the very end.

Agreed. With one episode left it is the easiest way to fit everything in neatly.

Kang would be complicated and we know he survives to be in Quantumania so introducing him here would be too risky other than some type of teaser. But, the Ravonna trying to warn the man behind the curtain and ending up actually meeting Kang would enrich her storyline.

I still find it hard to believe that Disney and Co are creating large scale fantastical, dystopian sets just for a couple of episodes of a TV show. The TVA, Lamentis, now Void. All of them littered with MCU easter eggs and accompanied by some brilliant background scores. The multiple Lokis fighting scene was hilarious, the blanket scene was right out of a rom com, the visuals for Alioth (sp?) were great. I'll have to think a bit about the consistency of their time-laws, but if you are willing to overlook plotholes - it's a fun ride.

Off a tangent, the entertainment industry is changing rapidly, especially during the pandemic. Fantasy series of this cinematic scope with the profile of actors involved was usually just limited to theatrical releases in cinemas, maybe two or three a year. Now you have multiple TV series on your subscription services. As writers/actors/producers/composers/people-involved-in-the-making-of-such-shows, it must feel truly brilliant to have much larger and faster realizations to your creations. I wonder if the pay involved for those behind the scenes has gone up, too. And I wonder how much more it will change over a decade.

This was my first thought but it just seems too obvious so I’m going to punt for a
Mobious variant

Tremendous episode.

I'm not well versed on the comics but I would be surprised if their next big baddie is revealed in any of the shows. There will be a lot of people that will miss them.

I know a bit about the big villains they could use, most people seem to assume it's Kang (and he's been confirmed for the next Ant-Man), but could it be Galactus?

Assuming it’s not a big bad comic villain but… a variant of one of the TV characters, what reason would they come up with for them creating all this & wanting to protect the sacred timeline? I don’t know how a Mobius variant would work, but Loki variant doesn’t make sense to me as he’s maintaining a timeline where Loki ultimately dies (Thanos or TVA).

Maybe so that he's the only version...

I don't mind it being a variant but don't want it to be a comedy moment

Possibly, but with Loki’s glorious purpose, would he really settle for just hiding at the end of time with all that power at his disposal?! I’d personally be disappointed if it’s a Loki variant unless they have a really good explanation

Yeah, the show has been great bar one episode which was... Ok but felt like it wasn't needed

Hopefully the delivery of the final is great and more winter soldier and falcon as opposed to wandavision

Thor stuck in a bottle was amazing. Utterly amazing. Sucks we won’t go back to it but yeah. Amazing stuff. Can you tell I’m amazed?

The show is great in general but you are spot on about the fight choreography, it takes me out of the immersion of the show unfortunately. Episode 5 was pretty great I must say. Some nice foreshadowing of increased powers for Loki.

Editing my own posts.
Thought that episode was rubbish personally. The casting for the Loki’s (Richard E aside) has been terrible… the kid was an appalling actor, and I just don’t buy the relationship between main Loki and female Loki at all, partly because she’s just not very interesting, so everything felt very flat for me, plus it also felt very stagily written.

But hey…maybe I was just in a picky mood. The Loki betrayal stuff was admittedly quite fun. Largely because Hiddlestone was actually playing Loki.

Nah, the kid was shite. Sylvie is lacking in charisma, but not anywhere near as bad as the female protagonist from Falcon & Winter Soldier. Would have watched a whole series of Richard E. Loki though.

I think so too. To shoehorn in anything else this late would ring hollow.

In the very first episode when Mobius asks him why he wants to rule Loki says he would make it easier for people as for nearly living thing choice brings uncertainty and regret, constantly taking the wrong path, at which point Mobius asks if that rule applies to him as well, a question Loki doesn't answer. I think that insight into his purpose is compatible with him being the big bad behind the TVA, pruning the "wrong" paths other versions of him took, leaving him essentially running the universe from behind the scenes. Particularly if (as the initial "send a Loki to catch a Loki" plot suggests), the arch-Loki thinks any Lokis left alive may ultimately be a threat.

Plus the lies and deception behind the concept of the TVA is entirely in keeping with how Loki operates.

On a meta level the concept of the show is built around different versions of Loki existing and thematically it's about him confronting himself and making a choice to change for the good. On both those levels it makes sense for his ultimate enemy to be himself, specifically the ultimate version of the himself he doesn't want to be anymore.

Whereas just introducing and taking time to explain a random bad guy from the comics who huge swathes of the audience won't know would be a deeply unsatisfying ending, as rather than having anything to do with what the show has been about it would instead just be a set-up for further content.

Yeah. It shows really bad in the guards of TVA. For all their superiority, they are just kids with candles. Amateur hour time. Event Earth rent-a-cop would do better.

When was this?
When Loki finds kid Loki’s lair. Kid Loki says he killed Thor, and then we see the camera pan from ground level to below ground level. Buried under about ten feet is Thor in a bottle.

Idk how to do the spoiler feature but there’s something even cooler about it. Check it out!
