Giroud to Milan for 1 mil (plus another mil based on stuff) is done.

Great servant to the club. In 4 seasons he won 2 FA cups, a Europa League and a Champs League.

Top player, if he had pace he'd have been up there with the best.
Was a great signing. Wish him all the best.
Now I want to see an incoming striker marina !

Any Chelsea fans worried about the lack of signings? Your history is of sitting still after having a successful season and it really looks as if its the case again.

Nobody in the prem has signed anyone yet, have they?

It's far too early to be worried about a lack of signings.
Its the links though. You have dependable ITKs and theres nothing coming out and its not as if clubs can pull players out of the secret hat that can bring you closer to City?
Pre season isnt that far away and the Euros are basically over. Id expect some movement.

We're signing Haaland. What's there to be worried about?

In all honesty, I've been completely immersed in the euros, I haven't really given transfers and Chelsea much thought since the end of the season.

We've been linked with loads as usual.

None of the "ITKs" are dependable.

Tommy Tuchel is like the human version of Thomas the tank engine. Wouldn't surprise me if he likes the show more than his kids.

Im not worried. Chelsea operates on not say a fecking word about who they are speaking with…. Then at the very end the links come out. It is like the Russian mob is handling our transfers. We have a really solid team that will only get better with experience. A few signings will be nice, but not going to worry about it.

I still like the speculation during the window.

Last time we won the CL we signed Hazard.

We're in talks with Dortmund over Haaland. Aside from that we're apparently after a RB/RWB and a new GK. Chelsea are always secretive though, so I guess we'll see.

Yeah, but last time Chelsea won the league you signed: Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Zappacosta and Morata for the best part of £170m.

I don't think any chelsea fan worried about signings though. It's unusually calm about situation perhaps after CL win we couldnt expect much from board.

Giroud allowed to go by chelsea board should have plans to replace him is my guess if not halland then someone to play second option apart from werner and havertz.

We certainly look to bring in one central midfielder since Billy loan move. One striker will surely be in our team before start of the season. Topsoba recently linked with us and heavily too as center back option.RWB option may be tuchel plan to integrate chelsea kid livramento in first team I think.

Bear in mind that Bakayoko was initially seen as a real talent, and Morata was really promising. They both failed hard, but they weren't just bargain basement purchases at the time.

I'm absolutely not worried about signings. Best thing the last season showed is that it takes more than just signings to have a successful season. If it were up to just our signings last season we would have had a disastrous one. It took only one change, our manager, to go from disaster to great season. I'd trust in his process even if we don't get in anyone. God knows I'd rather we get no one than just second rate fillers. If we can't get Haaland let's stick with Havertz and Werner for another year. That's the only problem position for me but I don't mind staying with our current options(also assuming Tammy doesn't leave). We might need another combative midfielder with Billy gone on loan and Gallagher likely to follow and I'd rather Tchouameni than a Rice especially for the price.

So that's Moses, Giroud and Tomori gone for around £32m with Gilmour also bringing in a loan fee. Others have been released for no fee.

Barkley, Bakayoko, Zappacosta, Alonso/Emerson, RLC, Drinkwater, Batshuayi, Kenedy and Abraham are all potential outgoings

Realistically how much can we make from selling this year? £100m? £150m?

Should be aiming for at least 100 mil.

Selling Abraham alone could get us close to £100m. There seems to be a lot of interest from Italy in our fullbacks Zappacosta, Emerson and Alonso but we probably won't sell all of them. But two of them combined could probably raise close to £30m.

With £30-£32m already banked, I would imagine Chelsea could potentially get to £100m+, but I am not sure it'll be from the above list. Ziyech and Zouma also look slightly surplus, but could raise some decent cash.

I could see Chelsea getting something like:

£35m - Abraham (what I call Watkins money)

£30m - Zouma

£25m-£30m - Ziyech

Zappacosta - £4m-£5m (he actually had a pretty strong second half of the season in Genoa.)

Emerson - £10m (maybe?)

Kenedy - £2-5m

The others however look deadwood to me that at best get loaned. There reported wages are too high to get transfers imo. I mean who is paying Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Batsuyhi, RLC and Barkley £100k+ a week?

Fair points, i think a PL team would take a punt on Barkley and RLC. Not sure about the others, Drinkwater is going to ride out his deal till next summer and be released, he's done as a footballer and has been for years

I think Chelsea might be the closest challengers to City this season. However we won't really know what the squads for the various teams will look like till the window closes.

All it takes is one big transfer to swing the pendulum in a teams favour.

One for chelsea fans, other than a striker what other positions need upgrading or reinforcing?

Oh ok, that's more realistic. Wouldn't really call 62-72m close to 100m.
Yeah that's fair. I just meant it would be close enough so that we wouldn't need another big money sale to reach the 100m mark.

No-one really knows what Rudiger plans to do yet. We can't start the new season without him signing a new contract, so he either does that or we cash in on him. The same goes for Christensen. Both of them have 12 months left on their deals, but Christensen looks like he will sign an extension. So we'll probably keep an eye out for CB.

We have been heavily linked with Hakimi so I presume that means we're looking at that position. It wouldn't be a priority for me, but there you go.

An additional midfielder would be nice, because we're always one injury to Kante, Jorginho or Kovacic away from having to play the other two in every single game.

Depends on the summer. If we get a top 9 I fully expect to at least challenge for the league.

World Champions. We've bested Europe, time to move to global domination.
Tbh it would be pretty dissapointing season if you dont win the World Cup, Copa America and the Euro's too. Dont you guys have any ambition?

Tapsoba is practically offering himself to us, could the two be linked?

If we reached that 100 mn mark then 2/3 rd of halland money came through it if chelsea want to spend 150mn ish on him.

And remember initial rumour chelsea willing to spend 150-200 mn without adding money come from player sales if tuchel wanted to.

Possibly. How good is he really? I remember being quite impressed with him when I was on Havertz watch last year, but haven't watched too many Leverkusen games since.
