With Rashford out until October, I'm looking forward to seeing this front 3 being tried out, with two playmakers on either wing for the first time in quite a while feeding Greenwood (and Cavani). It has crazy potential.

Will be Sancho, Cavani, Greenwood, Pogba and Martial competing for the three positions until Rashford returns.

My prediction is that Sancho will kill it at LW and Greenwood will be up there in the scoring charts given service from Bruno and Sancho.

Rashford will have his work cut out displacing Greenwood from the team.

If Amad isn't going out on loan, he'll be out for the start of the season anyway as he's going to the Olympics. He probably will be going out on loan though with Sancho and Cavani the likely starters and Greenwood, Martial, James and Pogba (if he stays or isn't playing in midfield) competing for the other spot.

Dan James too, (I know!). Amad unfortunately has way too many names ahead of him.

Sancho Martial Greenwood will probably be Ole‘s preferred 3 with Cavani getting games in between.

That's my fear!
Is it really so surprising or shocking? We finished 2nd without Diallo contributing at all. We have Sancho, Greenwood, Martial, James and Mata who can all play in his position, and if rumours are to be believed, Rashford will be back around gameweek 11.

If Diallo isn’t the best player or close to it every day in training, he’ll have to be patient, or lucky (injuries to a few of the aforementioned).

Edit: Forgot about Pogba, who is apparently a left winger now.

Slow realisation that I've overrated Diallo's impact this season. You'll see, you'll all see..!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Diallo go out on loan.
He is far from first team ready right now.

Greenwood and Diallo are amongst the best teenage talents on the planet in fairness.. Playing them only makes sense.
Greenwood yes. Cant put Diallo up there yet with the likes of Pedri, Fati, Camavinga, Bellingham, Greenwood. They are all playing far more regularly.

Looks rubbish to be honest. We have Cavani, Pogba and Martial in the squad who are much more exciting talents.

Sancho, Cavani & Martial sounds way more threatening. Redcafe tend to have an obsession with youth players.
Don't disagree. I am one of those. Having said that I don't want Diallo played ahead of say Martial or Sancho or Cavani or Greenwood. I just feel he should game time ahead of James, who we can agree is at best a squad option as opposed to Amad who can be a brilliant player. My point is I am optimistic he can be part of active rotation and not 2 mins here or there. But Ole knows better. (not sarcasm)

He looked bright and lively but isn't even close to any of Sancho, Cavani and Greenwood. They'll be the main 3, then Martial and James (assuming they both stay).

That's fair, from the rare moments we saw of him in the first team last season he looked like he was able to replicate the same sort of football he was producing at the U23 level, that's why I rate him so highly. His passing and dribbling (maybe not Fati) is just as impressive as any of those players imho.

Amad getting James minutes wouldn’t bother me.

James could be retrained as a wing back if he could put on some upper body strength imo. He’s never going to make it at this level as a winger.

James and Mata ahead of Diallo is very disappointing. Feel like Mata, Lingard, James could easily be sold and not missed. Think Amad is a star.

I think Mata’s presence around the club is much bigger than we know. Lingard and James could easily go.

Next season is too soon but the technical ability of those three has the making of something special. This is definitely the sort of profile LVG wishes he had.

Is what you mean
No I think he already is, his football ability is rare. But fear he wont be given a proper run here any time soon.

If he's loaned, he should be loaned to a team where his first task isn't to defend and track back either.

Plenty of options. But Martial - Cavani - Sancho.

Martial looks like he’s shifted weight so should be more agile and Diallo ain’t playing for sh!te.

Imagine a highly motivated Anthony Martial and a highly motivated Paul Pogba playing alongside Edinson Cavani, Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood.

Question is, are either Martial or Pogba, let alone both, highly motivated?
