It's absolutely worth it. I only watch the youth games as I've no interest in anything else they show, but for the youth games alone it's more than good value.
Same for me, youth games are always enjoyable. Things like pre-season friendlies and whatnot are a bonus.

Total waste if you don't watch the Academy games. That's the only reason I have it.

Does paying for the app allow you to watch the channel on tv?
No, the £29.99 subscription allows you to access online or with the app, to watch it on TV you need Sky or VirginMedia and then pay whatever their rate is at the moment. I've viewed it on TV by connecting the PC, haven't tried casting yet.
It's worth it to keep up with the U23/U18 games and the Man Utd Women's team if you follow it, and I sometimes watch full matches when they are re-broadcast the following day if I've missed a match because of work commitments. It obviously doesn't broadcast anything critical of the owners, but it's not censored or sanitised either. It's a house channel, so, like any house channel, it's there to support the club.

Any idea why I can only watch replayed matches either with no sound or audio only?

Also it can be chromecast I believe

Woah, I love Man Utd but with that amount I can buy like 20-25 pints (caguamas) in a Mexican store (Oxxo). Choose wisely.

I still remember that back in 2004-05, ESPN in LatinAmerica still broadcasted La Liga & Premier League in TVs basic packages... The fee of that was around 500 mexican pesos (£18.08). I was like 14 yo and remember watching Barcelona's first La Liga with Ronaldinho on his top and Chelsea's Mourinho. Bundesliga was very entertaining also, and I remember Stuttgart's 2006 Bundesliga title with mexicans Pavel Pardo and Ricardo Osorio.

The following season, things changed. No more La Liga unless you paid SKY. In 2010-11, with Hernandez in ManUtd some TV broadcasters still had some Premier League games... I don't know if we were lucky or not but at least you could see all Utd's game in the Sunday mornings and fortunately, we won that season. Sadly, next season all Prem games turned to Sky and it sucked.

As a football fan, I still had Bundesliga... It wasn't until like last year in 2020 that they finally decided to sell their TV rights to another broadcaster and now I can say I only, from time to time, watch Champions League games, during lunch, in mid-week and when I'm not full on work.

I practically missed all Euro 2020 games.

Reality is... I refuse to pay >£30 to watch football. Football is business and that's great, but it's BS that corporations and companies try to squatch their audience for "exclusive content". I don't believe FIFA, UEFA or Ceferin saying "football is for the fans" when you have an oligarchic Middle Eastern owned team doing what they please and a financially doped Premier League disregarding all Non-Competition EU regulations. "Football is for the fans" and FIFA unilaterally corrupted their WC bids in order to allow a hosting nation in the middle of the desert, super expensive, with Human Rights violations, homophobic legislation and to be played in December of 2022. Aleksander Ceferin was displeased with Andrea Agnelli's participation in the SuperLeague but didn't even thought that naming Al Khelaifi head of the ECA could be interpreted as a Conflict of Interest.

Football has changed a lot and although it kind of makes me sad, at least I know there are other better options than just spending £30 in watching the very lame of football games nowadays.

That's a weird one, they're broadcasting a Liverpool v Utd match from 2012/13 at the moment that has either no sound or commentary only - seems OK with the rest of the On Demand content, where I'm getting full volume and video.
The video has a "cast" symbol, so assume it can be used with Miracast devices like Chromecast.

They carry a radio commentary of every match live. Quite useful if you are watching the game on a foreign TV channel. The commentators are hilariously bad but that's part of the charm.

Would that be the dulcet tones of Stewart Gardner and his falsetto voice?:p

It's the bargain basement Gary Neville's that crack me up. " Definitely a penalty"...sees a replay ..."not a penalty"... repeat for 90 minutes

Nope, it's shameless propaganda. Bores me to tears. Wouldn't watch it if it was for free honestly.

So has anyone worked out why you have to choose between audio and video on game replays? I tried to contact MUTV support but it came back email unknown
You can’t have both anymore due to cutbacks to fund the Varane deal. You now have to choose between the two.

We're supposed to be financially protesting the Glazers, why would you be looking to pay for MUTV?

No way I'm giving the Glazers money.

Some people don't care and think that we should support the lads by pumping more money into their yachts. The lads being the Glazers, of course.

Its $10/year .. if its more in the UK, use a vpn.
At that price, its not even worth the question.. if you dont have time to watch mutv or academy/reserve games. don't.. but the price cant be putting people off. its very cheap.

Then don't bitch about United not having enough money to buy players then, you cheapo! I assume you watch illegal streams as a clear protest towards the Glazers too?

Being from the USA it is worth it to me. Not all matches are televised here (FA, Champions League, Cups)
Instead of paying for these matches on different pay stations here it is easier to get some of them delayed.
Also the woman's matches have been entertaining.

Live TV only seems to let you have video with no sound or no video and sound?

Anyone had this issue with the app?

Sorry if this is a tad off topic, but does anybody know how in the hell you activate xbox app after subscription? I’ve paid and have an email from Microsoft about it but it still won’t show me the paid content! Kick off is half hour away! :nervous:

I am in India. The MUTV app is not working suddenly.
The game is not showing, the video audio not working. I tried watching some on demand content, that is not working either.
Everything was working earlier in the day.
I am India, is does this happen for India users during live games?
@prateik are you able to watch?
