Frustrating that Argentina look like the team playing with 11 when it's Australia who have the man advantage.

2-0 Brazil now. Think Germany could get hit for 6 from what I’m seeing.

Why is it even called U23...seems ridiculous considering the amount of players all over 23. :houllier:
EDIT: Sorry it seems to come out that way on FotMob...but in game doesn't mention u23 at all.

Kessie, Pedri, Olmo would be top 3 I'd say.
I think Richarlison might be the best right now, but Pedri and Kessie have the highest ceiling.
Both could be stars for years to come.

Still I guess Pedri will be compared to Xavi so hard shoes to deal with, but he did well in the Euros.

Argentina lucky not to be down 9. Facundo Medina was painfully close to a red.

Good of Graham Arnold to tell his team, which is a man up and a goal up to play football. About 20 minutes too late but better late than never.

How on earth did Romania qualify haha. Feels very odd. Is it still U-21 championships that qualify teams?

Australia should be 2-0 up. McGree too unselfish in squaring the ball to Arzani when he should have backed himself to score.

Not sure why the Germans haven’t brought Florian Wirtz here. He didn’t go to the Euros either. Is he injured?

Pisses me off that Richy has gone to this after a long Copa tournament.
Hatrick in 30 minutes so will be coming back to premier league in good form.

I always think with him one season he's going to explode and hit 20 + goals and good number of assists and then Everton will have clubs bidding 90m odd for him.

Basically none of the German top teams allowed their players to take part in the Olympics.

Spain too with that squad. I guess Spain will get to pens a lot just like in Euros though. Many draws from them and keeping the ball, but with little end product.
Yeah got a surprise draw against Egypt, who aren't pushovers, but still expected them to overcome them. But yeah on paper they have a good team, just need to click more.

It's u24 for this tournament because of the delay.

Brazil’s team looks good on paper. Should be theirs and another trophy on Dani Alves’ sheet.

He has all the traits for it; he’s fast, good enough in the air, comfortable on either foot, and he runs his balls off. Whether it will all ever come off is another question altogether

Stefan Kuntz (the coach) said they created a list of 100 players to try to nominate at the beginning of the year and in the end he got 18, not even a full squad. They probably should not get beaten this heavily, but this lineup is basically pure disrespect to the tournament.

Richarlison:
Not sure about experience of Germany defenders but their captain is Max Arnold who's been a solid midfielder at Wolfsburg for last decade (guess compensation for him not getting called up to euros squad) and watching Max Kruse is always fun so they do have experienced players dotted around the 11, problem for a few of these teams is lack of warm up games I guess. Brazil had to play qualifiers to reach the Olympics.

Think it was said this was pushed up to under 24 age bracked due to the extra year so many would've missed out from it not happening last summer. Been lots of good games already.
