As of today, the departure of Lautaro Martínez cannot be ruled out. Without renewal, the Argentine forward can leave Inter Milan.
EDIT: More info
  • Arsenal is the first club to inquire about Lautaro Martinez.
  • Lautaro's replacement can be Joaquin Correa from Lazio.

If you would say to me that you're gonna buy a player that scored 6 goals last season for a 100M pounds, I was probably laugh.

because if united was spending that amount of money on him I could very well be mad about it.

Griezmann is on like £600k/week, I don't see how we could sign him, even on a free.

  • Still no agreement between the clubs.
  • Juventus want a 2-year loan with a conditional purchase obligation
  • Sassuolo don't like a 2-year deal and prefers easily attainable conditions for the purchase obligation
  • Only agreement between the clubs: sell-on clause, which will be 15-25% of the fee

Barca can't afford him and took Aguero now. I reckon we get Martinez for £60-80m as he has 2 years left on his deal now.

I'd throw Martial/Lingard/Dalot/Kitchen sink at Inter.

I could see City going for him if they can't get Kane.

Juve are ridiculous, we should step in and pay the €35M for Locatelli and throw Pereira in.

The asking price isn't known as of yet. That might develop if Arsenal progress with the transfer.

Barcelona were strongly interested in Lautaro and got in touch with Inter, but Lautaro himself wasn't ever interested in going to Barcelona.

Some clarification on the Romero situation:

EDIT: More info

Because of the differences between the two clubs, the negotiations may no longer continue from now on. Romero, however, is pushing Atalanta to continue negotiations with Spurs.

Varane is getting €100m if reports are true over 5 years. We didn’t pay him a €17m signing on fee and the rest of the fees they paid Alabas family. Also Varane > Alaba without a question.
Why? (That is a question)

Two-year loan. Christ. Sassuolo should tell Juve to feck off.

Negotiating with Juventus must be painful.
Their arrogance is infuriating, I wish clubs would stop letting them get away with their penny pinching antics. There are other clubs in Europe who would pay north of £50m for Locatelli upfront.

I may be the devil, but i'm not a monster
Is he an improvement on what they already have?

I understand that having options coming off the bench can make a big difference, but it wont necessarily push city to another level unless they address the glaring issues in their squad being an out and out striker.

They won last year because they benefited from having essentially two squads to rotate with. That wont be such a large issue this year.

But as soon as an english team comes sniffing, they demand €80m. Italian transfers are ridiculous.
It’s not like Italian clubs wouldn’t want Juve to pay €80m. The problem is that many Italian players do not want to leave Italy. I studied in Italy for a year and many Italians barely even leave the country for holidays let alone for work.

So Juve can get away with strong handing small clubs because the players insist on a transfer to them, as there is no other Italian club nowadays where they get a shot at winning the CL.

Naturally, as soon as there is a player who is interested in moving abroad the small clubs can ask for much more money. It’s not like Juve haven’t spent big (i. e. Higuain), but with Italian players they can usually get away with it.

Feels like all the united rumours have dried up completely. Guess anything else will be nearer the end of the summer now.

I don’t think city have the same real life reality everyone else has. Feck them.
Hope they get Kane as well. Shows how ridiculous it all is.

I don't think he fits in our team at all.
Tactically and especially culturally.
He's got discontented flop written all over him.
Exactly the vibes I get with him. Ala Sanchez, Di Maria. We don't need another sulking player. We already have Martial.
