They won the Champions League while we lost the Europa League final after a really ordinary performance. I put United 4th but said it would be tight between us, Liverpool (who we have seen win the Champions League and be pretty much the most dominant champions ever within the last couple of years) and Chelsea (who were massively improved after Tuchel took over and just won the Champions League).
Yeah I agree that you can throw a blanket over 2nd-4th. Was just having a bit of fun with our Chelsea friend

Although I think Fofana will be a huge miss for Leicester and they're looking light at the back. If they sign a decent CB then I'll go with them 5th.

Chelsea will fall outside top 4. Think they’re a bit overrated. Easy CL run to the final, a focused Real Madrid would have smashed them in the semi and they weren’t remotely convincing in the league last year.

1. $ity
2. United
3. Liverpool
4. Leicester
5. Chelsea
6. Arsenal

Can change based on signings.

I think City are nailed on if they land Kane, the other 3 will be a toss up. If Chelsea get Lukaku they will push City all the way, if we sign a midfielder then we will close that gap too. Liverpool are due something of a bounce back.
I do think Spurs take 5/6th if they keep Kane but I think the top 4 will pull away this season.

I think City are clear favourites again but Liverpool and Chelsea could both run them close like a few seasons back.

With the signings of Daka and Soumare, Leicester look well placed to gain top four; they've been really close the past two years but just lacked strength in depth. United back to the Europa League for me. I dont see a clear cohesive tactic from Ole like the top four teams but if Sancho and Varane hit the ground running, who knows where they'll go. West Ham could also continue to establish themselves as a top six club with the right signings and same attitude which guided them to Europe last season.

The likes of Villa, Leeds and Tottenham could also contend for top six. I'm expecting a competitive season this year.

Liverpool have had their “off” year and will be ready to start another cycle like the bastards that they are; City and Chelsea will be a close battle for second but give the edge to the reigning champions; fourth could be a battle as well but lets have some confidence in ourselves; I find Arsenal difficult to predict as I never expect them to be as bad as they turn-out to be, but with no European football lets give them fifth; and then it’s between Leicester and Spurs for sixth.

Top four I’m confident about sadly, but fifth and sixth between the other three could be in any order.

I still think City are the team to beat but I’m going with us.

The theory being defences win titles.
With two class centre backs I think we can do this. Shaw is fantastic and AWB is the best tackler in the league.
Martial is back and I think he’ll be hungry, Rashford was superb last season until he got injured, Greenwood ended the season really strong and he’ll get 20 goals this year. Bruno is going to thrive in-front of the fans. Cavani looks happy and was excellent. I expect VDB to show his class too and if Sancho is what we hope he is we’ll be cooking. Pogba wants Madrid and a big contract now PSG are out, so he’ll need to play his sovks

Now I come to City they are superb team with strong back ups but actually Kane is just a replacement for Aguero, they are both great players so he doesn’t improve them, Grealish is a great player but again doesn’t improve them. Because of where we are our two signings improve us but City’s two just keep them on the level they already are. Imagine where we’d have been last season if we didn’t lose 3 out of 4 of our first games and we didn’t have to chase so many games.

I also think Liverpool will be battling for 4th, it’s not really their defence that let them down it was their attack, apart from Jota and Salah the rest where rubbish.

Chelsea with a striker could be dangerous.

So it’ll be tight at the top and the top 4 will all be close, they’ll all lose more points to than ever because they are all close teams with great players.

I have a gut feeling City will flop in the league this season.

1. United
2. Chelsea
3. Liverpool
4. City
5. Villa
6. Tottenham

It's a bit difficult when we don't have all the information yet. Leicester need defensive reinforcements. If they get it, they could be a top 4-5 team. If Kane ends up leaving, I don't have Spurs in the top 6, and City will probably be closer to the top spot.

I expect us and Chelsea to push City really close, and any of the three could win it, but I think City will nick it.

I also have a feeling Arsenal will look a-lot better.

But I think it will be quite close at the top. The top 4 will finish within 10-15 points of each other.

City Liverpool Chelsea Utd Leicester Arsenal - the theee behind City look so evenly matched I’m judging it more or less on quality of manager and propensity to bottle it when it counts

Unsure on 6th. Could be anyone of those midtable dwellers. Definitely not Arsenal, though. Crazy to see how many have them predicted.

Very hard without seeing what other signings get done 2nd to 4th is a toss up.

1. City
2. Chelsea (If they get Lukaku)
3. Liverpool ( will get off to a good start as most of their team had a full pre season)
4. United ( Poor start due to pre season)
5. Leicester
6. Spurs

That's my guess but truthfully could see any order between the Us , Liverpool and Chelsea.

All I know is if anyone beats City to the league then fair fecks to them because squad wise no one has any right to do so.

Why do so many have us in 4th? Is that just symptomatic of the negativity in this place?
I suppose because Tuchel really got Chelsea going well last season, won the European cup and only need a proper striker. Lukaku could be that man.
Liverpool because they still finished a few points behind us even having lost about 8 home games as they had about 30 combos of goons at centre back.

CL has little to do with league form. Tuchel boring style can go far in a cup competition but they were stupidly close to finishing 5h for a reason.
You can’t do well in the EPL with a defensive, controlling mindset. They aren’t a force in England until they can prove otherwise
