Isn't this technically the second move since leaving them?
Depends how you break it down.

You could class leaving Watford as separate to joining City. In that case, that's move 1 after leaving Watford.
Hence 2 moves after that making 3.

Is there a law about this or something?
I think so. Dzeko has pretty much funded Zeljeznicar's existence/mismanagement in Bosnia since he left all those years ago for example. Not sure on the ages but it's pretty standard.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
I have no idea what was said with Dembélé. But it wouldn't be an oversight as it's not an announcement of the transfer, just that a transfer is imminent.

The fee will be 85m € fixed rising to 95m € with addons.

As expected.
1 or 2 sources have said there're add ons (€5m for a PL, €5m for a CL...). Multiple sources say there are no add ons.

(Per The Athletic).

I don't really want to add anything to this bizarre e-fight some of you seem to be having here - but it's clearly not true that no English media have mentioned add-ons. Several outlets have done so - shite papers, granted (from what I've seen), but that isn't the point here.

What they say seems to line up well enough with the Kicker/Bild stuff: It could rise to 95m (Euro) if all conditions are met, etc.

I love the way you're still preaching! Fair play to you - I'd be too embarrassed to keep leaning in for more but you've some chin on you.
Why would I be embarassed? You played me and in a pretty funny way I must admit, but cobsidering how well you seem to know my posts I imagine both you and I know you ripped those quotes out of context. Of course that won't bother people in this atmosphere so I guess I just have to take the L here. But in the end, I'm pretty confident the BDL will be correct regarding the bonuses just like we've been last window regarding the deadline and the sum regarding Sancho and the bonus payments regarding Havertz. And I'm also pretty sure this will rub you the wrong way again ;)

Tip of the cap to agent Gareth making sure the price doesn’t go up before giving Sancho a spot in the starting 11

The only question I have is if this thread will be dead given the Sancho saga is over

Dortmund have done the right thing by the player in the end, which is good. I guess they know they would struggle to recruit young talents in the future if they kept hold of him against his wishes, but even so they deserve some credit for letting him go fairly easily this summer.

As a fan of a team who cruise the league, year in year out (9 in a row is it?), what do you think when a foreign big club takes one of your "rival's" (if we can call them that!) best players?

Relieved as it'll make your cruise to the league even more of one?
Or a bit gutted as you sort of half hoped for a more competitive battle?
Or gutted a quality player leaves the BL and cannot be harvested by Bayern later on
If a promising BL player doesn’t end up at Bayern I always assume it’s because they didn’t want him. Otherwise we know how it ends up.
Don't think we ever had a realistic chance at Sancho, the big PL teams were always going to have first dibs - just watch the instant difference it makes for his NT career to be a Man United player
I'm also pretty sure the famous "gentleman's agreement" that Sancho had with BVB wouldn't have applied to a Bayern bid.

Generally, I enjoy having quality players as him playing in the league because it makes it more worthwile watching the games and raises the competition (and they sure need raising), and it's bad that Bundesliga teams can't hold on to their best players due to lack of financial muscle. But it's nothing new, and that Sancho would leave was expected anyway. So neither gutted nor relieved, just jealous of the joy you can have now, watching him play for your team. Special talent.

We'll wait for Bellingham and probably Haaland. The saga continues.
Oh damn that's true. Another year of this monotonous cycle of Dortmund playing badly, United fans mocking and others coming to defend Dortmund.

Hey, leave me out of this Zehner/Hansi Fick mess!
Edit: sorry, thought you generalized about „all German posters“

Football fans are a fragile bunch. Keen to give it out, but very sensitive when on the receiving end!
Not sure who you are referring to. I said I liked United's tweet as I disliked Dortmund's original tweet in the first place. However, I remember quite a few people on here saying a big club like United would never do something like this which seems to be disproven now.

They were never going to compete after losing Sancho. I'm surprised though that they wanted to sell Sancho and not Halaand, they could've gotten 150m offers from Chelsea or City this summer for him. Instead they'll lose him for half that next summer.

The league does need to do something though because it's become a feeder league to Bayern and the big European clubs. Can easily see Bayern winning the next 10 Bundesligas too, the next 5 are pretty much locked up and they hoover up all the domestic talent so replace well.

You don't rate him ?? You think they should have coughed up the money for Madueke instead ??
Malen is a good player, he's fast and has good technique, but he's very wasteful with his chances. That's why, in my opinion, he will never be world class.

Madueke is a different player, a pure winger in the mold of Arjen Robben. Bit early to see how good he will be though. Think it's good for him to stay at PSV for now.

If I was a Dortmund fan I’d be pissed off at their strategy. You get some great young players, yeah, but only for a short time so there’s no way to properly build a team. I guess they think they just have no chance against Bayern either way but surely focusing on building a team to compete in the medium term is better than just being a training ground for future stars.

What would you do differently?
