Imagine the effect he will have to the players in the squad. Having the best player ever (almost) in the same room and training pitch. They'll be dancing on their way to work.

Give peas a chance.
No bother! It was same when we signed lots of other stars over the last few years but this is sentimental. I totally get it. I hope it works out but I have a bad feeling. I just don’t think he is enough to guarantee anything and I’d hate the narrative to be he came back and flopped or we couldn’t give him a good enough team to win with. Either way. It’s a strong new direction one way or another
As someone who wasn't 100% sold on bringing Cavani in and him proving extremely valuable for us last season, I'm far more amenable to this type of transfer than I was this time last year. The lad is a winner, and it's probably a cliche but him coming back will give a lift to that entire dressing room. Just like we were saying the likes of Greenwood could learn off Cavani, the same would absolutely be true for Ronaldo.

Whether or not him coming back can push us over the edge to win something this season remains to be seen, but I'll be happily along for the ride.

Officially the best poker player on RAWK.
Whether this happens or not, if you hate the thought of Ronaldo returning it then you really don't get how football used to be more than just money and trophies and actually had some romanticism.

He's one of us.

Disappointed we’ve not had a scout nation YouTube explaining what we can expect from him.

The way this window has gone, I could see Cavani ending up back in South America and CR7 back at United.

This is the turning point guys. Covid. Climate change. Sheik football clubs. This is where the world turns the right way up again. :D

Imagine. Just imagine if he fires us back to our first PL since SAF left. But to be honest even if he can't hack it in the PL anymore and it doesn't work out I wouldn't regret it for a minute.

I have my reservations too. Rumours according to Di Marzio is that it's only a 2 year contract, which I think is okay though. With him being 37 next year, I wouldn't be surprised to see us being in for a Haaland or another long term striker.
This year:
Rashford/Cristiano/Sancho-Cristiano/Cavani/Mason-Sancho/Mason/Cristiano

Next year:
Rashford/Sancho/Haaland-Haaland/Mason/Cristiano-Sancho/Mason/Haaland

Following year:
Rashford/Sancho-Haaland/Mason-Sancho/Mason

Looking at it...will we need Haaland if Mason continues developing as fast as he is? Just wondering if getting Haaland would impede Mason's growth. For the 3rd year, sure. But by then, he won't be available. Still, nothing to stop us getting another striker then.
