it sounds like a bad decision but I can't help but feel giddy about Ronaldo coming back home.

You are crazy if you don’t think we won’t be improved by signing CRISTIANO FECKING RONALDO. Give your heads a shake. Shirt sales. City tears. We are still the big boys hahahaha.

He's still superb in the box. Absolutely superb as a #9.

Make no mistake about it. His sharpness, fitness, speed, aerial ability and finishing are still utterly lethal.

Will be tremendous as a boost for the younger players like Rashford, Greenwood to learn from and, who knows, maybe even Martial.

Why is his plane going to Portugal.
it’s part of the terms of his contract. he doesn’t like the weather so it’s been agreed that he can work remotely. chris eagles will also be re-signing and will play with a headset link to ronaldo in lisbon, telling him what to do.

He would have had a better chance at the CL with City but…..

In terms of storyline and sentimental reasons this feels so much better!

Imagine having:
  • Ronaldo/Rashy, Cavani/Greenwood, Sancho in attack
  • Pogba and Bruno in attacking midfield
  • Luke, Maguire and Varane in defense
and still not winning any major trophy because we never managed to sign a proper defensive midfielder

That is GOING TO SUCK

it's a fun signing for United fans, probably would have been a fun signing for us just for the banter, but 2 year deal at £300k per week is still a bloody lot of money for a 36 year old. Anyone any idea what his transfer cost is, we were apparently fudging over £25m, what are United paying?
His age is irrelevant given his level of performance. He's still as fit as a 24 year old and is likely to play at high standard for at least 2 years.

Medical in Lisbon. Then when he lands in Manchester he'll be quarantined for 2 weeks. On top of that Ole will protect him by not starting him for another 5 weeks, we'll see him playing in October and that's when Rashford comes back so he stays on the bench. We'll see Ronaldo playing in 2022.
Portugal is on Amber list. Shouldn’t have to isolate.

We don't have a team to support him. And a struggling Cristiano Ronaldo is a toxic player to have.
How have you racked up 42,000 posts with this soulless outlook on life.
Blooody hell son.

I couldnt care less at this point  Ronnie joined when I was 9 years old and is my favourite player of all time. I'm delighted today.
I would share a hug with you if you were closer.
It's a day for celebrations.

I know there have been unfounded rumours for years but this seems to have come straight out of left field.

Also, is that the longest thread title on the Caf?

Cannot believe how quickly this has escalated. I had come to terms with him going to City, but so fecking happy we didn’t let that happen. Still a great player & you don’t turn down the chance to sign someone that good. Credit to everyone involved in getting in his ear before City could get him.

Ronnie is a winner, his confidence, Carisma, and determination will breathe success and wash off on all our players and the whole club.

This is a must-do deal.

THe only question is,

Do we congratulate the Glaziers for hijacking this?

Which 36 year old in world football can still 30+ goals? He still can. He still is one of the top 5 footballers in the world today. This guy defies everything cause he is so determined and so fit.
see I don't agree he's one of the top 5 footballers in the world
So much salt between those commas

haha but honestly there really isn't, time will tell but I'm not convinced he's perfect for either team at the moment.
