Did city troll us into signing him by making it seem they were interested and then united feeling like we needed to show we had a bigger d*ck so instead of us strengthening where we need to we spend too much on a 36 year old?

Can't get excited about this. Seems like a sentimental/commercial deal more than a sporting one. I don't see how adding the a 36-year-old poacher to a front line which already contains Rashford, Sancho, Greenwood, Martial and Cavani will bring us any closer to the title. If Cavani hadn't extended then fine. But this reeks like panic because we couldn't lose face by seeing him go to City.

Hope to be proven wrong.
That's the spirit!

Because he is still better than them.
It's so funny that people ask that. The only one is may impact negatively is greenwood, and I think he will get more learning from Ronaldo than he would lose in playing up front.

Martial is done. Rashford is out injured. Cavani wants to play for Uruguay. Sancho won't be affected at all, in fact he may benefit a lot. From it.

Think that's less than De Gea's on right now to be fair.. Reports are saying £24m.
yeah, I was talking in nett, City we're *allegedly* offering £15m a season nett which was around £400k a week I think, I think you'll be offering him something around that which is fair enough, hopefully it's a massive flop ;)

Well that came out of nowhere. Do United need him? Just signed Sancho, got Rashford and Cavani, Greenwood too. No problem scoring goals.

Still it's Ronaldo. City struggling to get anyone in to score the goals.

So we bought him at 18 years old for £12 million, then we sold him for £80 million, and then we got him back for £25 million, so it's still a £43 million pound profit. It's a bargain.

I didn't want this to happen and still am super excited about it. Imagine the first goal he scores at OT, gonna bring down the roof.

I'm not even going to bother going back through the thread to find the "We don't need Ronaldo" or "United buying a has-been" posts because those people must be absolute morons but what a day to be alive!! I certainly did not wake up this morning expecting this. :D :D

Because he scored more goals than anyone in our team last season?
And yet Juventus feel like they're better without him. I have no doubt he'll score lots of goals. But will United score more goals with him than without. I'm not convinced his goals outweigh the deficits anymore.
