We can hope, let's see what happens after the break. But our weaknesses are the same for too long, so not sure we can fix that.
We played so badly today I don’t even know what the weakness would be.

No because if we play like this every week we won't make top four.
So what if the roles were reversed and we played like Wolves today and are leaving with nothing at the end of the day despite dominating the game? Would you be satisfied because we were the better side or disappointed because we have dropped points?

Getting the 3 points is all that matters in the end. Doesn’t matter how you do it, as long you win then that’s all that matters in the end. We used to have the odd occasional poor performance under SAF but still found a way to win the game. It’s all about re-building that consistent winning mentality at the club that we had.

How can Keane say with a straight face that it wasn't a foul on Bruno in the last game? I mean it was clearer than this one in which the contact was very doubtful. How?

Sourness  I think oppos are concerned

On a side note, Wolves were incredible. Especially the first half.
Incredible usually means you’re hammering a side. They were good without any substance

3 points but some really ugly performances…poor old Dan James, so bad it could peel the enamel from your teeth..lost count of the amount of attacks he killed.. Ted Bundy would be proud

Look as this tackle being analysed to death. You just know if the shoe was on the other foot, it wouldn't be mentioned.

Looked like a foul when you slow it right down and see the minimal contact, but once Dean makes the decision not to call it, I don't think there's enough there for VAR to intervene.

Strange one though, the refs usually call those dangerous tackles even when there's no contact.

Souness taking it a bit far though.

Probably was a foul
But for me makes up for the amount of diving going on in the first half.
They had multiple free kicks around the area from no contact fouls so what goes round comes around
Feck off wolves

Also love how they were slagging off United at 0-0 saying “champions win games like these”
No mention of that when we scored

He's completely derailed dvb. Like to the point he may never see the pitch again. Rashford has gotten worse since ole arrived. Pogba has been inconsistent since he arrived and was already a top tier player before he met ole. Bruno has been fine. Greenwood looks fine. James hasn't evolved at all. Martial gotten worse.

Ole is great at managing the personalities of players but can't help them strategically at all
Ole has gotten far more out of Pogba and Rashord that Jose. Is this a debate even?

Martial has been hit and miss since day one

You are talking out your hole

That was terrible. I’ve never seen such naivety attacking and the way we were just playing reminded me of like An under 12’s match.

Credit to Varane, he looked really good except for that one header he was beaten on by Seiss and DeGod did that double save.
Martial did well when he came on as well. Got on the ball and held it unlike the pinball rubbish we saw in the minutes before he came on.

That would make sense if you think the point of xG is to tell you who won a match. I'm not that stupid and I'm surprised you are.
All xG tells you is who created more chances to score. It doesn't tell you anything about coaching or patterns of play or anything about the manager really. But people seem happy to use it as a cudgel to beat Ole with whenever another teams has a higher xG than us.

United aren't winning the title with their current manager. The same issues in possession have been apparent ever since he joined and he has done nothing to rectify it. You don't see today happening to Man City, Liverpool or Chelsea (under Tuchel).
Liverpool I thought were hopeless against a 10 man Chelsea, completely lacked ideas and just took a bunch of pot shots. These idiotic views ruin this forum.

Agreed. Not saying he was great - but I have no idea how he is singled out. Defensively - he was covering a lot. On the ball, yeah it can be improved.

same with James - he could have been better but at least he was making runs and getting into positions. You can’t say the same about Sancho
I thought James just offered nothing despite running etc, Sancho I agree was very quiet apart from a couple of good interactions with Shaw and Fernandes.. Fernandes was very poor overall. Fred as you say settled down as the game went on and did his role.

we absolutely got away with that, I thought Wolves were by far the better team and were unlucky to lose, Pogba needs to play further up the field, he leaves too many gaps playing as a CM.
I sincerely hope Sancho improves dramatically as that was a poor full debut.

Well, incredible in a sprint through and can't do much with it way, if you mean Traore.

I can remember many times where United have the better xG and fans still blame Ole. People use it selectively to reinforce their biases.

Souness is on very thin ice talking about other players tackling dangerously.
He actually said when he tried to "do" players, he'd go in like Pogba did.

How does this berk stay on tv?

Get in there.

Not sure how we got away with that but who cares, we always struggle with Wolves anyway on the grounds they have a midfield that works.

Massive result it feels like already.

Mason sure does score some important goals doesnt he.

You don't think that maybe we hugely contributed to making them look better than they actually are?
They’ve been as good in all three games this season.
Their problem is finishing chances and ours is getting a flow through midfield

I disagreed when people said it was a foul on Bruno last week and I think that wasn't a foul by Pogba either. It's a physical game-Wolves outfought us a lot at times today but I don't know why they're crying about that tackle when contact was minimal. There really wasn't much in Pogba's challenge.

I'm actually liking this more lenient approach by the refs

Too honest rubbish. He watches where the ball goes, realises it has gone to a United player, looks at the referee, and then decides he's going to force the referee to stop play and went down.

Similar performance to that against Soton. Look off the pace and a bit causal. Still not convinced that we can have Pogba in midfield unless we play a diamond, when we don't have the ball we end up with only Fred in midfield.
Got the slightest touch on the side of his shin, wandered on a few metres without a second thought.

Looked to see the ball had gone to a dangerous position, then fell over, pointing at some imaginary mark on a part of his shin that definitely wasn't touched.

Is there a period in the season when the points don't matter?

I mean, if you play like crap all season but get the points, you'll be fine. Problem is, if you play like crap, you're points tally will reflect that eventually.
First few games I feel it’s ok to be disjointed and ride your luck a lot. We did it too much last season throughout though which worries me.

Looking at how much we are depending on individual brilliance, at least we can see that Varane, Maguire, Shaw, now Greenwood, are able to bring that consistently.

Bruno is as inconsistent as Nani but with 50% of days off and 50 on, but can win us the game on his own. Rashford would be in the same bracket, but fit I think is more consistent than Bruno.

Stop playing Pogba and Fred out of position and buy a DM. That will take us up a level too.

Sancho will need to work much harder, this is not bundesliga, if it was Lingard we would all be all over him.

Cavani also has that consistency but need to manage his minutes well.

Question marks about Ronaldo, absolute attacking quality and motivaton along with less intensity in defending from the front..

Than it's up to Ole and others to up their game. This team can win a lot, just lack motivation and tactical know how, if it cannot be brought by manager and we are missing consistent world class players in key positions we will always struggle. Replacing manager will be a very tough fight considering how much family like atmosphere is behind the scenes. Just need to be ruthless and don't wait another 2 seasons to find out we are wasting potential of our generational talents..
