Yeah if either side actually wanted you it would.

Not if you're an afterthought on the last day of the window.
Good thing sensible players aren’t basing the chances they’ll take with their careers like emotional forum posters would. “I’m not moving to some of the biggest football institutions where I’ll play with the best of the best and have a great chance of trophy laden career because I was an afterthought on the last day of the window” feck sake

Any club that would've put in a bid by before tomorrow would've likely had it accepted, Rennes were never going to turn down cash for him and risk losing him for free next year

We will see now if it does not turn into a nightmare, they will have to manage his minutes very well.
Sometimes I think that it is not worth spending money on such young midfielders, it is better to spend 80 on someone 25 years old.
It is as if Redondo had arrived in Madrid with 20 and we discarded him after a while, instead of 25 already fully prepared.
Think this would be one that comes with a presidential decree included for Ancelotti

Yeah remember seeing about Real being his dream club so think that's why he waited it out for them to come in
seems like he actually wanted PSG but they didn’t bid, we didn’t either. Madrid the only ones actually bidding so got a free run at him.

Obviously had a class break out year but he needs to step it up now

But the player himself would want to come. By most accounts, this one didn't want to come to Manchester.

Short of kidnapping and holding him hostage I'm not sure what more we could have done.

If we are going to target a young CM who will be the heart of our team for the next decade, I would prefer Bellingham tenfold.

Sign Bellingham

Good luck kid. Hopefully he don’t get lost in that circus. They need a youthful rebuild.

At least we didn't offer him crazy wages like we would have a couple of years ago.

He won't play. He does not have the tools to sit in that Madrid midfield, not yet at least.

Lacks experience for those important matches. Bear in mind, I don't think he'd have done it at United nor Paris either.

Maybe at a club like Dortmund but they're crazy.

Great talent but we were never really in the race, he always wanted Madrid or PSG.

I think he is awesome but I worry for him at Real. Don't see them giving him too many chances. Does Ancelotti give youngsters chances, is patient with them?

AS.

Madrid got him because nobody else did, I mean PSG never bothered to ask about him as far as I know, and while United seemed to show interest, it never went as far as putting a bid in. I think the Camavinga hype died down last season, and I don't know if going to Madrid is the best way of getting back on the right track but I really wish him the best.

His passing is not good anyway so he won’t replace Modric or Kroos in future, he is going to be backup for Casemiro.

The club have different strategy recruitment now that Murtough and Fletcher in charged. We approach players by selling our project instead of offering them money (Sanchez for example) and if they are interested then we sign them. It was reported Varane wants and only Man United. I think Fletcher also spoke to Ronaldo as well. It's the opposite with Camavinga, Camavinga didn't want to come here, he would rather stay at France or joins Real/Barcelona. We were no longer pushing this move unless if the player changes his mind. The one who wants the player to come to England is his agent.

Yep he’s still so young, need to go careful and manage his expectations. Could still be 50/50 at best

I got slated for saying he was waiting for Madrid in this thread by a few, not sure why because it’s looked that way since the very beginning.

Good luck to him replacing the likes of Modric and Kroos, big boots to fill.
Because it wasn't what the kids of the Caf wanted to hear/read, so you were clearly wrong in their eyes.

It ain't over until the Comunicado Oficial sings...

But, yeah, our chances look slimmer by the day. A shame since I think this boy can really develop into one of the best midfielders in the world in the right circumstances. But boy does Madrid not seem like the best option for him. You need monster mentality or very thick skin to grow over there.
