You think that deserves an "argument"?
We already have an unbalanced team and let the worst team in the league pressure us at times and creating goalscoring opportunities. We barely created anything against slightly better, but not even the top 10 opposition, in Wolves and Southampton. In these two games, I don't see where Ronaldo would've made any significant difference because we lacked creativity and control in midfield, not cutting edge. I would understand all this if the cutting edge was the lacking theme in our play, but it usually isn't. And as I said, yes, he will score some goals against Newcastle but we would've won this game without him, as we did last season. In the long run, I don't think he will make us significantly better as Bruno did for example. It would be nice if you responded with something relevant instead of a "stupid post". It's not like I'm a freak for thinking like that, as several highly rated pundits have said the same. In some top games, I think, it will be a bigger problem because of his lack of pressing and work rate. He is purely a poacher, a penalty box player, a bloody good one at that so don't twist my words now. He will hardly make any significant difference outside of the box and with our unbalanced team, I don't know if he will make us title-contenders although I think he will score 20-25 league goals.

Agreed to a certain extent and I am skeptical as well, but you have to give the man credit for scoring 2 goals out of one and a half chance. This just shows his quality.
And football should also be about emotions and celebrating the moment and it is hard to believe that any United fan was not chanting Viva Ronaldo when he scored for the second time today. Goosebumps.

The OP must make similar threads for all our new signings. He can start with Sancho

You think ronaldo is a poacher who would have made no difference in our previous games.

This is not worthy of a reply to me and that's why I laughed it off. If someone else wants a go they can go for it.

To be fair there were 3 or 4 guilt edgd chances missed aganst Southampton where i'm certain Ronaldo would of took at least one of them. So yeah that game could very well of been a win if we had Ronaldo then.

Ronaldo of 2021 is not someone who brings others into play or does influence the play the way say Messi does. He is simply the finisher and he barely assists even these days. If you don't agree with that, you simply don't know what type of player he is now. He would've been isolated, just as all our other strikers were against Wolves.

Maybe. Maybe not. I don't remember any clear chances in that game except our goal. My point is that a clinical striker wasn't our missing bit in that game, and I think deep down everyone here knows it.

That’s a complete load of shite you’re talking,, Ronaldo dropped deep collected and off loaded the ball, all day, took men on and created chances, then scored two goals.

He was nothing special apart from the goals (who ultimately was two errors from the keeper). La La Land.

What is your problem with Ronaldo?, come on you may as well lay it out on the table for us.
Just get it off your chest so we dont have to read through this salt all season.

Apart from the 2 opening goals in a 4-1 win we'd have been better off without him

Pure lies, you don’t even know football you wanker, yesterday you criticised Ole, today you called Ronaldo a rapist, feck off you clown!
If thats true then he should be banned imo. Its bad enough rival fans taking the oppatunity to use it for bitter warring, but a Utd fan to go there is out of order imo.
He hasnt been charged or convicted for it, and in this country you are innocent until proven guilty.

Said it in the Ronaldo thread but the Mods cleaned it up and deleted all that stuff. Didn’t stop him from running Ronaldo down in here but obviously a scoucer in disguise..

Christ i should of guessed. Seen plenty of salty Messi fanboys on the youtube comments today.
Salty doesn't even begin to describe some of them. Even if when they praise him, they have to remind you they are Messi fans first, like praising him is truly a monumental effort from them and it should be appreciated.

Jesus. Apart from the link up play, and the work rate, and oh yeah the two goals to win the game, what exactly did he do??

I suggest a lie down fella.

"Nothing special apart from the goals" was the most common refrain on football forums from 2006 to 09.

Got stupider and stupider the more goals he racked up while doing nothing special otherwise. Hope to see plenty more of it this season!

Some people are just upset we didn't sign a DM and got Ronaldo instead. To them it's a criminal offence that the team/Ole are blind by ignoring to fix this weakness this window. Those analytical accounts on twitter have been banging on about it ever since, and they somehow take this higher moral ground saying how could the club sign a 'criminal', bringing up his case etc. Weirdos.

If you didn't get your knowledge from YouTube comments and watched Ronaldo play you'd see he still drops deep, still drifts out wide and still presses to get to the ball for defending like crazy.

I knew from your first post you're clueless when it comes to Ronaldo

Honestly sometimes its not even malice. Some people judge Ronaldo weirdly. They'll see him misplace a pass and then be on the end of a goal and think "meh he didnt do that".

I think sometimes it's poor understanding of the game.

I love people with open and rational views even when they oppose mine. For what it’s worth my view on on Ronaldo 2021 is on this thread and highlights the obvious overall pros and possible cons depending on how we use him in big games

If OP is resorting to name calling and slander then he clearly has a personal agenda against Ronaldo and shouldn’t even be debated.
