I’m an old git so don’t care
PS what is Air Jordan? Sounds like a Middle Eastern airline to me…

What is that? That can be pretty cool. The inside of the shoes was great.
It has potential though
I'm with you, plus others think desirable pop culture icon, I think overpriced and slightly ugly.Is that an American thing? When I hear “Jordans” I think plastic surgery
I’d shit my pants every day.Imagine owning underwear with JLINGZ on it
I don't believe so, for a few reasons:Air Jordan brand with 'Jumpman' was one the biggest stroke of marketing genius from MJ and the nike team. 30 years on, it's still one of most sought after shoes in the world
Can the CR7 create an everlasting brand like MJ. 30 years on, will folks be wearing CR7 kicks? Speaking of which, wonder why Nike isn't positioning it more around Ronaldo's trademark Siiii stance?
Yeah don’t really feel the CR7 as a brand. It just feels like half a postcode from Croydon.No. CR7 is shite as a name for starters.
I’m sure he could have a stand alone brand that people bought into. But it would only be by the weird people that celebrate brands.
Ronaldo is a weird dude. He’s not the guy that’s going to carry a brand into cultural significance. He’ll never break out of the mindless consumer market. Will still make dickloads of cash but he’s never going to be an icon.
I'd have you know they are very comfortable.Imagine owning underwear with JLINGZ on it
I wouldn't go that far, but yes when used in the plural ('Jordans'), the shoes do spring to mind.I agree with other posters that nothing can quite match Jordan.
When you hear 'Jordans' now it makes you think of sneakers, not Michael Jordan himself - the brand has become more than the man.

Agreed, CR7s sounds lame. But I think, 'Cristianos' could possibly work well. There is potential to rebrand and he has 300M followers. But, doubt Nike cares.No. CR7 is shite as a name for starters.

Jordan brand was so huge that they renamed a country after him. Don't think we will see any country with name Ronaldo.
Hater, must be a Lebron fanJordans are incredibly uncomfortable.
I'm a fan of not having blisters on my achilles!Hater, must be a Lebron fan
Be careful, he's gonna make it personal nowI'm a fan of not having blisters on my achilles!
They look nice but are garbage to wear. Even in the Jordan Netflix doc he was moaning about them himself!
They’re super comfortable if you lace them right, albeit can be a bit of a twat to get on. I wear 1’s almost all the time.Jordans are incredibly uncomfortable.
Nice oneBe careful, he's gonna make it personal now
I'll be honest, and this is just my opinion of course, I think every pair of Jordan's I've seen are hideous. I love my trainers, but Jordan's are just pure fugly to me. Big shapeless, clunky things. Each to their own but I find them very difficult to class as something I could easily wear daily unlike many other trainers. The biggest reason why it won't happen is because the Jordans are shoes that you can actually wear every day and be seen with them. They are a status symbol. Ronaldo plays football and the professional shoes can't be worn casually in the real world. It just doesn't work. And if they just make sneakers, they won't have the same weight because Ronaldo doesn't play in them.
I am with you. Never liked them, never bought them. But we are definitely in the minority on this.I'll be honest, and this is just my opinion of course, I think every pair of Jordan's I've seen are hideous. I'm obviously in the minority or they wouldn't be so popular, but I've just never understood the appeal to the actual look of the shoe itself. The Jordan brand however is super cool, the Jumpman logo has been around for a long time, so naturally is very difficult to CR7's brand to over take that.
