By all means enjoy the win but fecking hell. Looked like they’d won the whole thing
It’s their second ever win in the CL, in the whole competition, and they did it against us, a team with the likes of Varane, Pogba, Ronaldo and Bruno in it. That’s the level of team we were playing, absolutely embarrassing.

But Ole is so perfect, best coach in the workd he can do nothing wrong

We'll smash them at OT. Crap pitch, tough crowd, referee on their side and a red card in 35 minutes.

We weren't on form but all of the above still played to Young Boys. Enjoy it for now YB.

How many times have you seen teams down to 10 men, making life difficult for the opposition and even winning.
Utd should be capable of doing a lot better than that, going down to 10 men against that team.
Did we even manage a shot on goal? You would think we were playing Bayern Munich. Literally shat the bed and offered nothing after the red card. We still look extremely disjointed as a team and a few wins has papered over the cracks so far but here we are with another load of money spent and again losing away in the champions league.

Literally no way we go that long unbeaten away from home if there is fans there. Can’t handle any sort of pressure this lot, and it all stems from the top.

Is Lingard like a cat with 9 lives or what. I mean how many fecking chances is he going to get. He's not up to it and that's final. He looked good at West Ham because that's his level. He can't hack the pressure being a United player. Fecking social media poser.

2nd time Young Boys have ever won a match in the CL apparently

so which is it, do we have a great squad and a crap manger, or a crap squad and a great manager? Because we’re title contenders according to some after our transfer window…
It's a split in the fan base. You have the realistic people who see Ole for what he is, a nice guy and a club legend but a terrible manager. He can build a squad but he can't coach to save his life and he apparently can't bring in intelligent assistant coaches to do his job. He should have never been given the job permanently. Then you have the other side who remembers him scoring the most important goal in club history and won't even pretend to judge him fairly.

Huge win for them they have every right to celebrate like that and it puts them in a good Position for 3rd place.
I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen a team celebrate like that unless they’ve won a final.

Clearly the Covid has got to you. Chill out pal. It was a horrendous back pass, that's on him not the coach.
Yep, results are always taken out of isolation when it comes to our defeats, it's not just Ole shitting the bed again.

Took off Ronaldo for that cnut. Madness from Solskjaer.
Ronaldo should have been replaced by Varane and Sancho with Dalot but that's all. VDB and Fred with Dalot and Pogba would have provided us with a solid midfield and Bruno would have play as a false 9

Look bad errors, that's it, Jesse what you doing. Defending was excellent for 10 men. It's one of those days on a awful pitch. Winning goal was miss kick bounced over DDG. This is the first game of the group. Games left. Learning curve big time of how to manage a game with 10 men. If anyone thinks we deserved to lose have not watched the game. 2 massive errors and you can lose a game .. better it's the 1st one not the last like last season. We win all our home games job done I think. Bad day today. Jesse what where you thinking.. heads up move on..

Manager is just not on same level as some of our players. What on earth has Lingard, Matic, Dalot, Martial done in this game since coming off the bench? Bring on players that are not hungry on the pitch, what a joke.
How can you even critisize Martial for 5 minutes when Lingard coming on before him ?

Oh just FECK RIGHT OFF that was coming despite having 7 defensive players on
This just yet again shows that going defensive is f##king stupid. It so rarely works. I've lost count of the number of times in recent years that I've seen Ole, Jose, Southgate and other managers try to hold a result and screw up.

Having more defenders doesn't help stop goals the way it used to. Back in 4-4-2 days the extra head would stop the cross or maybe the through balls, but now football has greater interchange and more chance for a quick snapshot goal that changes the game.

Its time to delete the stats that suggest going defensive gives you the best expected outcome.

What is our problem in those group stage games vs the 4th seed teams? I mean don’t they look back to last year? Our group is well balanced, there won‘t be much space beetween 1st and 3rd, three massive points lost already

    Not sure I mentioned that.

Still think OTT celebration. With the subs and everything

Why are our players such idiots? Like you've done the job, it's not 3 points as expected but still a point away is all we needed last time around and then Lingard does that. After AWB made that stupid challenge too. There is no explanation for decisions like that. In a game we had control over too. Just...just gutted.
I wouldn't say we had control of the game. Been battered second half.

I don't feel Bissaka deserved a red but Jesse was a clown at the end. Just clear your lines with seconds to go!

This however falls on Ole. Awful subs and game management. Tactics were nowhere to be seen, he looked like a fraud tonight.

We have assembled a great team that should comfortably cope with 10 men Vs Young Boys... The coaching on the other hand is championship level and will be our undoing.

We might as well have been down to 9 for how little composure we had.
Yeah this. We were fielding back passes from about half way up the pitch. I thought Manchester United players were supposed to be brave. Nobody wanted the fecking ball.

We put on some poor performances in the CL under Ferguson, but we had momentum with us going into this match yet we were strangely dour.

I’m tempted to blame Ole but this display really does come down to poor player performances.

Even in our prime, we have never looked great at sitting back deep and defending a small lead - to try to do it for an hour while removing all attacking threat (which gives the opposition the knowledge that they can throw everything forward) is inexcusable. Ole knows the club's DNA? yeh, like I know 15th century Japanese architecture... (hint: I know it;s Japanese and that's it)

Everyone minus CR7 played poorly today. We should win this group easily. But if the team thinks they can sleep walk to victory we will be in the Europa league again.
It's a bad loss, but hopefully it's a wakeup call to take the other opponents seriously.
If we don't advance past group it is a colossal failure on all sides

For me we have to now beat Villarreal home and away.

You can't be that niave. If he comes on and makes a mistake, misses a chance, messes up an attack, anything like that, and he'll be lambasted by the rabid fans we have looking for someone to blame.
You’re naive to think that fans reaction Greenwood missing and not playing for a draw is why Ole didn’t bring him on.

Some posters on here insist that we are not badly coached.
there can be no doubt about it after that shambles.
We will batter some of the poorer teams this season, especially at OT but we are winning feck all.
