Ok, everyone who has a badge is a good coach.

Why on Earth teams even bother changing their stuff? Chelsea should have stuck with their rookie coaches they had last year, instead of firing them and hiring Tuchel and his stuff. Would have won UCL anyway.
Sorry if you missed it, it is sarcasm. It is drivel that has been pushed here today. That all coaches are good coaches, so we shouldnt say that there is a lack of coaching on the caf. Im just trying to show how silly such posts and agenda's really are.

That’s very patronising for someone who seems to be talking out his backside

Which is fine but we shouldnt be expecting that of our manager. No one can really predict when you will have to play with 10 men, come on, let's be fair. Would be a nice bonus.
You're on a roll tonight, brother

Let's not sensationalise losing a game in injury time with 10 men. Their goal came in injury time. Hardly mauled.
20 shots for them and 2 for us. The last one came in the 24th minute. This be understandable being down to 10 men if it was someone decent but it’s Young Boys

We didn’t touch the ball in their box in the 2nd half, apart from one lindelof mis-kick. We got pummelled that second half, and the fact every united fan would’ve taken a point tells it’s own story doesn’t it?

It is expected they dominated, we're a man down. They are a pressing team. It is well known we don't have a proper CDM.

Caf wanted us to score more goals after the red. Before half time we're so open it's disaster waiting to happen.

We didn't have a shot after the red card, and they completely dominated. Surely, even you think we were shocking when it came to sustaining any control in the game even when down to 10 against Young Boys? last goal or not, it's not really the crux. It's the 60 minutes performance after the red.

How in the world did you get promoted? I reckon we’ve a troll on our hands here. Back under your bridge, troll. I’ve no toll for you tonight.

I remember when we got a red card in LvGs first season away to City. We were brilliant that day despite the loss. Because of LvGs coaching, we could still keep the ball, play out of their press, and create chances. This, again, was at the Etihad; a hard place to go and play football with 11 men.

A red card doesn't automatically mean abandoning any attempt at playing football whatsoever. Especially when you're already 1-0 against an opponent nowhere near your league.
Pep's Bayern that same season also had a red at the Etihad and looked much better than we did today(they also lost).

The loss today isn't the point(the loss was bad too). The performance after we went a man down was criminal.

No one is expecting us to smash them 3-0 or 4-0, but we had to show some sort of competence and resolve. We looked like a pub team.

When we perform badly under Ole, we are really bad.

Yeah but if Pep was our manager neither result would have happened I don’t think. If only Pep was our manager, the Man City manager. Do you think we can get him to be our manager? Or Klopp? The Liverpool manager, I wish he was the manager

First. With the players he has to his disposal do he over or underachieve?

Second. What did he do right and what did he do wrong against YB?

Don’t waste your energy guys getting worked up by our lack of coaching, we just need to accept that this club is content with substandard managers and performances.

Amateur hour tonight. Man sent off and it went to a absolute shambles, half the team changed and other than Ronaldo we was camped on the edge of our box.

Bizarre subs too I don’t know what the feck he was doing

Well, I have seen now who Ole actually is. This game showed it all.

I am so sad that this coaching hasn't actually worked out and now this game was the ideal example of it.

The mentality, that coward mindset, these subs and aimless, toothless tactics. He seems to be that guy who has an injury in a boxing match and despite being dominant over an opponent, just hopes not to get knocked out and throws everything, I mean everything out of the window.

This was a Swiss team, not Chelsea or Man City to be truly afraid of.

Subbing off midfielders, letting a team hugely out of balance, lack of tactical flexibility and inability to take control over the game despite playing with a man down showed it all. There is no blame to others.

Yes, AWB and Jesse had stinkers, but this game was destined to end with a loss from the red card.

This.

So it's back to what our fan said under Mourinho: if we have to endure shit football, the result better be good, considering the expense to build the team. Ole has been even afforded more time to see his idea across while spending a huge sum already. Performance even in many of our good result has been bad. It's inexcusable now.

He was generally out coached today by the sacked Ex Huddersfield manager. Probably sounds about right comparing managerial CV’s pre Ole’s appointment.

What I can’t accept is this lazy slur that because we are down to 10 men, what could we possibly expect? When you go down to 10 men and your backs are against the wall away from home, you need to be a Manchester United manager with the knowledge, belief and ability to stand up, be counted and deploy a system and players to get the job done - and I mean keep the ball, pass and move, still create chances and make the opposition be worried about your attacking team given the players we have at our disposal.

Us supporters have asked for all sorts of types of players over recent years. In Ronaldo, Varane and Sancho in addition to the already strong squad we had, there can be no more excuses. The buck has to stop with Ole and the coaching staff now and that tonight was unacceptable 10, 11, or 12 men on the pitch.

The only drill I see each training session is 2 touch football and even so we suck at passing under pressure or with our first touches. So I guess the other hidden drills we do are not working either.

Those complaining about Ole's coaching ability and losing despite having a great bunch of players at his disposal. Let me put it to you had Ole not been the manager had we been fortunate to have these players at the club? Another revolving door of player ins and out is what's going to happen if Ole is sacked.

He’s “outcoached” most games to be fair, luckily our players are usually good enough to overcome that. Imagine what a top class manager could do with this squad though! And, it’s not as if they’re not available - each of our three main domestic rivals have managed to get one!

To me the losses don't even bother me all that much, or the wins. I've said it before, it's the lack of any tactical management and style of play that is distressing to see. Our team, no matter how good it is on paper, looks like a bunch of players thrown in to play amateur Sunday league football. Whatever Ole is trying to do, if he is trying to do anything at all, is clearly not working. Moyes had a style. Not fit for a United manager, but he had one - sit back, get a break and counter-attack through the wings by pumping crosses in. Louis Van Gaal had a style. Not the prettiest or effective, but he had one - low tempo possession football. Then we have Mourinho who was similar to Moyes in that regard - defensively solid, hit on the break.

But with Ole I genuinely can't see anything. It's been 3 years now, what is he even trying to do? Klopp has his gegenpress, Pep has his tiki taka, what does Ole even have?

That isn't necessarily a negative. A new manager brought in isn't going to replace everyone in the squad or even the majority especially when the squad is very good.

The issue would be if the manager hired in the event Ole is sacked isn't an upgrade on him.

Didn't see the game. How is it a team that was put out, admittedly fairly strong starting line up, lost to YB red card or not?

Ole isn't the only manager that can do good transfers, Pep has done so, so has Klopp.

He has done good transfers yes, and he deserves credit for that. He did far better than LvG, Moyes and Mourinho in that regard but he for sure isnt the only one, especially now there is some organisation that is involved with this in Fletches, Mourthough and Matt Judge.

He would be a terrific DOF it seems, I like the vision he has for the club. His coaching and tactics are just very subpar it seems, his in-game management the worst and has cost us numerous times.

That's delusion at the best. Do you really think Ole is the reason why we signed them ? Don't you think if we had Zidane or any half decent manager, they wouldn't have come?

They were really some bizarre subs.

Definitely Ole got a lot wrong tonight, 2 shots on goal all game and being penned back for nearly the whole second half wven with 10 men against them is a joke. Aside from bringing on Dalot for DVB. His answer was to bring off, Sancho, Ronaldo and Bruno, bringing on Martial, Lingard and Matic. All while doing nothing at all about the shape of the team on the pitch.

As well as that, not one player on the pitch stood out as leader this evening. They all went into hiding, 2 world cup winners, the captain, not one of them took ownership of the situation and got the team into any recognisable defensive shape. These are the games where you need someone to standup and get everyone organised. There were occasions where there was just a group of players around the edge of the box, no back 4 no midfield in front of them, I've seen Sunday league teams organise themselves better after losing a man.

I am positive Ole had a say in who we purchase.
That's quite different to what you were suggesting (or what it read like). Every manager has input in who we purchase. How many managers would turn down CR7, Cavani, Varane? But lets not suggest they came to utd because we have Ole as manager.

Spot on. If we got an idiot after Ole then we would be in worse shape. But if we got a better one then we would win. We have been down to 10 men many a times and we always give it a go. This is not a top club we are talking about. This is Young Boys who came through a qualifying round. We have enough quality players who can keep the ball and keep it moving around ffs.

I can say other managers would have likely purchased different players. The question should be would another coach get more out of the players we have at the club?

I would say probably. However, it's not guaranteed.

Ole were just low on X-factor options after the red on the bench.

We need a CDM and a good backup RB with decent X-factor levels!

No buddy. I'm suggesting a different manager would have likely constructed a team with different players. It's all hypothetical.

This is the bottom line i feel. Pundits have been saying this as well. Is Ole getting the best out of the players that we have? Or would another coach do better with them? I think the answer is yes.

Thats what makes me torn about having Ole as a manager. Obviously we now have a fantastic squad that he's had a big part in assembling.

However, it's very worrying to see how completely clueless, scared and out of depth he can seem at times even if we've had plenty of games during his tenure that has been brilliant. I wan't nothing other than him winning trophies but I do feel the complaints on his in game management are justified.

Those thing happens all the time at almost every other clubs at this level. Doesn't prevent other teams to achieve. Stability without success? Perhaps it's time to adopt next year will be our year from RAWK.

He has done a good job with recruiting players but what is the point in recruiting players if he is unable to coach them to win trophies? Are we simply accepting a DOF as our manager and forgetting the actual coaching part which should be a priority?
