I'm still fuming at the referee, but thank feck for Dave getting back to his best by the looks of it.

Also Lingard take a bow, that was magnificent.

De Gea the hero tonight and Lingard actually doing what he does best...moving into dangerous position and scoring...

Maguire and Fred were atrocious on the ball though

Red Card for Casemiro!
Atrocious refereeing - we won against 12 men. The second Ronaldo penalty call was as clear as they come - both ref and VAR can go feck off. Lingard with a beauty and then DDG capping it off with a rare, rare penalty save. What a time to get it.

Very proud of the lads and the 3 points. We were the better side overall and the points show it now.

Fred has the effort and the workrate.

But he is very limited on the ball and that was a big issue for United this game.
McT looks a much better player at this point in their respective careers. Fred has the work rate but he lacks speed. If he is not physical like a Nigel De Jong or speedy like a Kanye, then what sort of a holding player is he?

A well deserved win against all the odds, awful Atkinson

Abysmal officiating ruined the game. To be fair, it was a typical post-European performance from United but Atkinson had an absolute stinker. Great strike by Lingard to win the points though and it looks as though De Gea has been practicing since the EL final.

What a win in the end. Sloppy game and I will never understand what happened with VAR there. Penalty for us turns into a pen for them, massive joke.

DDG came through for us once again this season. Started this season so well, looking like the old DDG.

How the absolute bloody hell wasn't that last one a pen for Ronaldo?! Zouma donkeyed in well behind the ball, took Ronaldo down. Unbelievable.

Then the breath taking arrogance to bring a sub on cold to take a pen, and miss.

A game of redemption today. Lingard more than making up for that mad pass midweek, and Dea Gea showing he can save pens.
Lingard made an amazing run into the box just after coming on. Had that ball gone to his feet, he was gonna score I'm sure.
He's looking a different player and I'm very happy we have him back.

Fecking hell. We were both lucky and unlucky in this match. It's a miracle that he saved that pen.

We need some serious clarification on what VAR is now used for because it seems to me like we're still using it but allowing the wrong decisions to be made. If that's the case, what's the fecking point in having it? It's supposed to stop all this shit.

Noble

On a side note, Declan Rice was superb. Really looking a good player we should sign.
I felt his passing is very limited. Good defensively though. Definitely not worth some crazy fee like 70M.

See if the pundits even mention that non pen just before. Bet they won't.

Sourness will be superb. He'll be livid and trying not to show it.

What a game. We were very good at times, although our short passing is worrying. What a way for Lingard to redeem himself and Dave continuing his very good start to the season.

Less said about the ref the better....

I thought both siuations with Ronnie were stonewall pens. Honestly baffled over refs decisions.
But hey ho, 3 points feels even more awesome after an end like that!

We need to fix our poor performances, but the fact we’ve won 4 despite playing relatively poorly is really encouraging in a way.

I still dont get why they only check Var for some penalty decisions and not all.

I want Ole to kick off. VAR needs to be looked at, because where’s the consistency? Ronaldo is rounding the last man and putting himself through on goal - not reviewed. Luke Shaw blocks a cross into a packed 18 yard box with his arm - reviewed. How is it that one doesn’t get scrutinised when it is clearly a better goal scoring opportunity than the other?

Other than that, it was a very entertaining game. Didn’t think we played well at all, but yet again we found a way. Jesse with a wonder goal to make amends, Dave with his first penalty save since the late nineties probably. Absolutely massive for the morale to come through that.

Maguire looked like making a cock up at any point. Fred. Words fail me. Ball comes to Fred, anything can happen, it can go anywhere and to anyone.

Well deserved victory. And what does ronaldo need to do to have a penalty? That was comical from Atkinson.

After the clusterfeck that was Europa that was amazing from DDG saving that crucial penalty.

Mixed bag from most of the team but overall we deservedly ground that one out at a tough ground. Happy enough.

Dave has to stay as the number one now. Can’t be swapping with Henderson with him performing like this

What an end! Buzzing off that! The penalty awarded at the end was hard to take, I can understand why it was given of course but its at worst extremely unlucky by Shaw. Its so close to him. I was sickened because we of course know De Gea's record isn't great on penalties. In the end it was poor by Noble, but he still needs to make the save so credit to him.

Obviously we need to mention Lingard. What a goal! Some nice touches in the box, and a fantastic finish. The guy only scores great goals for us and I'm happy his time at West Ham has regenerated him. I was worried the mistake Tuesday would send him back into his shell but it appears not, and that's great news. He'll be buzzing off this winner and hopefully he can have a great season from here out.

A game we deserved to win, although I do think we were better in the first half than the second. Definitely should have had a penalty ourselves too, especially the third one for me. Also we were unlucky with their first goal too.

Ref should be sacked after that. At least two penalties to us.

Pogba was poor in the second half and taking him off won us the game along with De Geas save.

Ref was fecking brutal. Ole has to kick up a storm about the ref.

I know we are suppose to give refs the benefit of the doubt and not question their integrity but if someone wants me to challenge on that...I give you Martin Atkinsons performance over two days. First he overrules the penalty and possible red card at Etihad (to the disbelief of vast majority) and then follows that up with that today. In space of 5 min he demonstrated his total biais and quite frankly should not be refereeing at any level.

Other then that, good win!

Fair play to Ole too. I bet most like me were thinking what's the point of this Fred to Matic sub late on, but Matic's simple pass to unlock Lingard.

Good first half, went quiet in the second half until the late drama. Good result. Got some good momentum going on in the league.

3 points, what a goal jesse. Great pen save.

A poor performance again for me.. not enough quality in possession and other than Ronaldo no threat. Poor coaching evident again.

Maguire and Shaw were very sloppy
Fred diabolical.

Delighted for De Gea & the win. Second half performance was rubbish though. Concerning we couldn’t up the tempo or create much & again relied on individual brilliance for the win. Fred was useless again & is a liability, needs to be dropped.
Jesus almighty.

Regarding refereeing today, at least the second one for Ronaldo was a penalty, as for Shaw's handball, have to be honest, it's a penalty, Shaw should know better that his hands should be near his body when attempting to block a shot/cross in the box
