Decent little cameo. Few nice touches.

I just want him to roam and demand the ball. He's a player that needs the ball. He needs touches. He's a link player.

He'll get a start midweek. Hopefully he can put on a good performance.

He still doesn't look the player I was expecting him to be. Not sure if I got his profile of a player wrong or something. I expected an explosive winger ?

Thought that was a very good performance. Some beautiful one touch passing and movement. Looks quite different to our other options.

He's more of a Hazard style player. Likes to play in the tight spaces with quick 1-2's, but then has a burst of acceleration to get passed his marker.

He's never going to run around the outside like Valencia or Sarr etc.

Getting a little more confident but he needs to be more direct in his play. Try and make things happen instead of pretty passes for no reason.

He'll take more time to settle, we need to temper our expectations. Not every player coming from Bundesliga is going to slot in seamlessly.

He's playing within himself and his confidence is very low, give him time before judging him.

Its gonna be a very hard year for him, we are overstacked in the attacking positions.

Yup he needs his teammates to be close to him to operate at his best

I want to see him on the right but just not sure whether AWB really can be on the same wavelength with sancho

Will definitely start in midweek now and i am certain Sancho always start to perform nov/dec but he needs minutes to build on towards that

He's much more of a wide playmaker/forward than a winger. He does have pace to burn but is more about using his trickery and feints to beat his man than bursts of pace and big dribbles down the wing.

Greenwood, Rashford, Bruno and Pogba are direct enough. He should do what hes good at.

Agreed on both points. Think he needs more game time to get upto speed as well

I think some were expecting a flying winger which he isn't, he was fine today in helping us relieve pressure and pass it through them.

Hmm that sucks. I was really expecting him to be that kind of player who gets the ball and keeps running towards defenders ? If he's not, I'll have to adjust my expectations from now on.

Fairly bright, I thought. Not a game changing cameo in terms of either the match or his own confidence but had a few clever touches. That seems to be something he has in his locker if we can bed him in. We have to get him doing it in areas that matter and ask him to be more direct when the situation demands as it has to be a balance of tidy play and being incisive.

He’s very risk averse, he wouldn’t have the same shot that Lingard had even though he has the skills to do it. He just passes the ball to the closest player every single time…

I wouldn’t say it sucks. Nani was same type of player, and his top level was incredible. If Sancho reaches that consistently I would be absolutely delighted!

Thought it was a decent cameo. Needs to start midweek and that will be a great opportunity for him.

He's always been a creative player to be fair to him. Played well today.

More involved than Lingard but as you said Lingard got the decisive moment

It’s a good thing that Ronaldo has come back so the focus on Sancho isn’t as intense. I get the feeling we’d be getting articles about Sancho being underwhelming already but at the moment it’s been Ronaldo returning that’s distracting everyone.

I think some people are desperately looking for positives.

He's been a total non-entity so far, let's be clear. Furious at him today for not making the obvious run to the centre of the box when Lingard put the ball across.

Needs time and will become good eventually I think, going by his Dortmund's career he's too good not to.

I was hoping more of a Robert Pires.
Well, Pires was also quality.

Found the report btw (still have some doubts about the credibility of it, but he definitely looks more like a playmaking winger in the mold of Mata then I don't know, young Robben, or even Hazard)

Young Mata 2009 - 2014 was very good, even excellent at times, but it would meen he is more of a system type of player then the one who would shine independent of their quality.

I thought his cameo was quite decent today. Looked more assured and was moving the ball about with sharp intelligent passing. Still a long way to go to get to the levels he was showing at Dortmund.

He’s hiding a bit, probably low on confidence. I am not too concerned long term, he just needs some time to adjust to the league and to the way we play.

People still won't accept that the Bundesliga is just easier to play in as a forward, especially at one of the bigger teams. There's so much space and lots of basketball 'you counter we counter' football.

He's a top-quality player, world class. But he won't adapt to the pace overnight, especially with game time limited because we're so stacked up front.

He’s like a hazard type, I believe he should actually be starting for us, he has great intelligence.

When Rashford is back the below 4 will have a great balance.

Hard not to find it a little ironic that we’ve been saturated with left forwards for many years yet been baron with right forwards. We buy a £70 million right forward after two years chasing his signature and immediately start to play him on the left side presumably because one player is injured in Rashford. Brilliant.

Greenwood is ahead of him for the right wing position, and rightly so. I'm sure he was bought to play on the right, but with Rashford injured, it makes more sense to play him left and Greenwood right.

I have been unimpressed with him so far, plays very safely and looks to be out of sync with his teammates. Hopefully he cracks on sooner than later. Ronaldo joining us has been a blessing for him, taken the spotlight off the media.

Sure he will be fine, but hope we have a plan on how to use the kid.
If you watch his highlights video from last year the first thing you will notice is him having movement all around him and tonnes of space too. Don’t think that will happen often here unless we are cruising in games.

It’s a big adaption for the kid. Completely agree, think he will be fine we just need lots of movement around him.
