Silva trying to calm everything down but then spotting Amartey and losing it is very amusing to me.

Azpi was doing that 'you what mate' thing whilst stood behind a load of of his mates

He used to play alongside Neymar but he thinks he’s inc charge of what is respectful behaviour?

Surprised he didn’t fight his mate every other week at PSG

What Amartey did was disrespectful by any measure of the word. Leicester even apologized to Chelsea.

It's not a big deal but it was disrespectful and deserving of the "feck you" he got from Silva.

I’m not arguing that but I’m sure you’ve seen the clips of some of the disrespectful clips Neymar has done, I don’t remember Silva getting involved there...

I can’t stand the hypocrisy of him being outraged

This just comes across as bitter. Tf does neymar have to do with anything.

Silva appointed himself in charge of what is respectful, yet he never stood up to his mate, any other Chelsea player kicking off I’m fine with

He is the Spanish Gary Neville. Teachers pet, always works hard, mouthy but you know he'd get battered by most other players.
 That’s so true. Big mouth but needs Roy Keane to protect him from evil Vieira!

That's like saying you can't be annoyed at an opposing player fouling you because a teammate fouled someone else.

He wasn't annoyed because Amartey was disrespectful, he was annoyed because Amartey was disrespectful to him.

Very happy for him, one of the best defenders of this generation.

He's up there with the likes of Ramos in my opinion, rolls royce of a defender.

I think going to PSG didn't help his stature as a player but marvellous, if he was playing in that Germany vs Brazil game too it wouldn't have been 7-1.

Great defender and well deserved, happy he gets a CL medal.

He was pretty bad in the third place playoff though when he returned.

The teams heads had gone at that point I think, my point is that Thiago Silva is an unbelievable player.

My only gripe with him is he went to PSG, he was at AC Milan could have gone anywhere.

Happy he gets a major medal because I think he's sometimes underrated based on the league he went to.

Been a really great signing for them. I love the way he launches those diagonals, shame for him that he went off injured but I'm sure he's delighted anyway. Christensen did really well when he came on.

Should never have gone to PSG. He would have been a legend of his generation otherwise. Quality player and another one who really deserves it.

A lot of defenders of the past decade are underrated because of the social media and 2 second clip obsession people have. There have been some great defenders this past decade and Thiago is definitely one of them.

His forwards let him down last year. Psg had all the chances first half.

Well deserved. Has always been a tremendous performer in the Champions League and it’s gratifying to finally see the rest of his team strong enough to get over the line.

Him and Cavani have always looked like tough elite players that probably shouldn't be spending so long at PSG. Pleased for him as a player though.

Even at that. To go to a league like that when you are a special player is daft for your legacy in my opinion.

People just won’t see most of your games. That’s just the fact about playing for PSG. This has been a great move for him and a chance to show his quality to a far larger audience every week, which he has done.

He should have done it 8 years ago though.

Thanks both Lampard and Tuchel. He seems like a genuinely nice guy.

He was asked about it when he first joined us and he said he had no interest in the PL back then due to the style of play by most teams.

Shame. He'd have breezed it in his prime.

He was an excellent signing from what I've seen of Chelsea recently. Proof that signing older players shouldn't be greeted with skepticism or annoyance from a fanbase (Cavani another example)

I don't think it is that simple. Signing an older, experienced player as a part of the squad should be no problem, but relying on someone that age to be a crucial part of the first team for the full season can easily backfire and might be rightfully seen more skeptical.

Not bad for a farmer who had to adjust to the best league in the universe at 35 (he was great).

He’s a top defender yeah. Bit of back 3 tax + Jorginho/Kante ahead of him too, though.

Him and Cavani wasted their years at PSG. They deserved much more recognition worldwide. Class players.
Yes, it's a good thing they joined the premier league, people finally know who Cavani and Silva are now.

Also funny how they immediately showed just how good they are, I thought farmers weren't supposed to be this good in the amazing Premier League.

No one in my country watches the French league. I'm sure the same is true for the majority of South East Asian countries. And broadly Europe as well. The Premier league is by far the most popular worldwide.

I am not saying nobody knew their names, it's just more people are now appreciating their talent because more people are watching them on a regular basis.

It's a farmers league because of PSG hogging all the good players. So I was never expecting them to struggle anyway.
