Enough ‘banter type mockery’ about ‘Desiree’ you silly group of ‘lads’.

I liked him, you could tell he was a huge fan of the show which helped. He was sort of like the opposite of Ian Sterling, incredibly competitive but didn't let it turn him into a complete bellend.I actually did find Ed Gamble to be a bit loud and annoying.
I think it's pretty clear, yeah.EDIT: Shit... am I a racist towards Scottish people now?
That Desiree one is well loud and annoying isn't she?

Shame, but not at all surprising. It's definitely best for his mental health to stay completely away from all social media or he's going to have a very rough time of it anywhere he goes.Bertie self requested a permanent ban. Unreal.
You bunch of bullies!Bertie self requested a permanent ban. Unreal.
That series has one of my favourite tasks - driving an electric chariot around a series of obstacles whilst blindfolded. Well worth going back to.The only contestant I've truly disliked was Iain Stirling, but I didn't finish Series 8 because the whole casting seemed off. Sterling and Lou Sanders were far too similar, but he just took it too far (that first group task was painful to watch). Joe Thomas and Sian Gibson were okay but not the most entertaining in the tasks but sank into the background in studio segments because Sterling and Sanders were so loud, and Paul Sinha was effectively useless both in tasks and in studio, which I suppose is understandable given he was diagnosed with Parkinson's just after they finished filming.
I might go back to it at some point, but after a few episodes I ended up binning it.
Christ! Imagine saying the same thing 15 times, then when someone mentions it you lose your shit about it.Bertie self requested a permanent ban. Unreal.
Am I a baddie?Bertie self requested a permanent ban. Unreal.
Is that your gang's name? "The Baddies"?Am I a baddie?
I don't get it either. The only obnoxiously loud contestant where it had started to annoy me was Ian Sterling. I don't get people's problem with Aisling Bea or Nish Kumar either.I'm watching season 8 right now and I think Lou Sanders is probably the funniest one, I guess I'm really out of sync. I also realize I obviously don't have any idea what 'loud' means, how is she loud compared to e.g. Acaster or Mortimer?
Agree with this. Iain was loud for the sake of being loud, and coupled it with extremely misplaced confidence in solo tasks, and genuine anger at not getting his own way in team tasks.I don't get it either. He can be a bit irritating but his foot tattoo was legendary.Since we're talking about not liking contestants, Josh Widdicombe is the only one I didn't like. Something about the way he was annoyed me.
Also all the bits where they had him counting ridiculous things for no reasonHe can be a bit irritating but his foot tattoo was legendary.
Listen to the taskmaster podcast episode he's on. I think it'd improve your feelings about him.Agree with this. Iain was loud for the sake of being loud, and coupled it with extremely misplaced confidence in solo tasks, and genuine anger at not getting his own way in team tasks.
I'm about to give season 8 another go after abandoning it halfway through, but Iain is putting me off as he's the only contestant I've ever disliked.
No, they space them out more so it's not too obvious. There'll be future ones, but not every series.I liked it when they used to give everyone a task and one member of he panel was given a little bit extra to do, such as joe lycett having to smile into the camera while painting.
They don’t seem to do that anymore, I guess in the interest of fairness?
Agreed on that. I hated him as a contestant, but it make more sense now.Listen to the taskmaster podcast episode he's on. I think it'd improve your feelings about him.
They did also have one for Mike Wozniak last series. No, they space them out more so it's not too obvious. There'll be future ones, but not every series.
And what a classic moment it was tooThey did also have one for Mike Wozniak last series.
I only just finished watching that series the other day but half the time it was on in the background so I must have missed that one. They did also have one for Mike Wozniak last series.
Wait what? You need to go back and watch it immediately...it'll go down as probably the single best moment in TM history, even over Joe Wilkinson and the potatoI only just finished watching that series the other day but half the time it was on in the background so I must have missed that one.
Put me off pasta for a while.Wait what? You need to go back and watch it immediately...it'll go down as probably the single best moment in TM history, even over Joe Wilkinson and the potato
I’m on a four hour train journey and stupidly left my iPad at home with the all4 app. I’ll have to see if YouTube has a clip of it. Some what’s i can gather Mike Wozniak and pats seem to be the key words?Wait what?
