Sorry this isn't up to date, but at the moment he's on 122, ahead of Andy Cole. I think he'll get past Ruud by the end of the season.

Man oh man, hadn't Ronaldo wasted 3 precious years of his career in that gloomy league and club, the breaking of this record would be around the corner.

Anyhow, I believe the title of this thread will age quite well. With time to spare for him to retire as a Sporting player.

I don't really think he will but if he does what will that say about us that a player can play for us then go away for twelve years to another club come back and still be our all time top scorer
This is funny

If he's going to surpass Van Nistelrooy this season, we're winning the league and having a shout in CHL.

I think he will end this season in 143. Next season on 168 and ultimately finish in 5th place.

Try focusing on avoiding relegation sunshine.
We always bounce back. That is in our DNA. Enjoy till you meet the top ones. I wonder how you gonna deal with them. Lukaku will tear you apart since how many years. I lost count:lol:

He has to have 2/3 great and mostly injury free seasons to end up on 5th place on the list...

It's insane we actually believe it do-able, it only shows the phenomenon he is..

The last time we faced Lukaku, Daley Blind had him on toast, so...

Losing Pogba and now Ronaldo to us seems to have broken this man.

Well, if he scores at least a goal every match he plays...he'll score quite a bit.

As a scientician, that is my view.

See the way he did Coufal and Zouma yesterday — doesn’t look like he’s slowing down any time soon. I’m convinced that if he stays injury free, he’ll smash the record. I think he’ll play here until he’s 40/41

Top 10 by end of this season, top 5 by end of next season. Maybe top 3 by end of his 3rd season.

Could see him being on 20 goals by the end of the year. Would require 15 in 18 games which he is well capable of.

Assuming he stays 3 years, in order to take the record he probably needs one insane season where he scores in the high 50s. He can then afford two seasons where he 'only' scores 40 each. All this while staying injury free. Won't be easy but hopefully people at the club present him with the challenge and he uses it as motivation.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
Needs to be on pens to break the record I think.

Would love to see him do it…

To be record scorer for Real Madrid and Man Utd is absolutely insane and such a legendary achievement.

Has any other player ever been record scorer for 2 massive clubs?

I think if we signed him 3 seasons ago he’d do it for sure, maybe even 2.

That's a good question. Answer is most probably no as it's so difficult to achieve it but as someone said here, Ronaldo would surely be the one to do it if he came here few years ago.

Think if he stays for 3 seasons he would get around 180 - 220 goals. So another 100ish goals on top of what he has already got. If he gets around the 220 mark, or even beyond but just short of Rooney's record after 3 seasons then I'm sure with the mentality Ronaldo has he would push do to another season and try break that record!

Agreed. I can’t see him continue until 40, which means he would have a shot a catching Wayne.
