Seeing him go forward is actually reminiscent of Bebe. Really don’t know what he’s going to serve up. Needs replacing badly as him along with Fred is our weakest spots in our team.

Is it bollocks. It wasn’t Wan Bissaka thrown to the ground like a rag doll by Gray.
He's the one who should've gone for Gray, Fred being shrugged off like a child is nothing new and his teammates should realize that by now.

We should have gone all in on Trippier. He would put AWB out of this team for a good few years.

He's like Ashley Cole defensively but with none of the attacking qualities. It's like someone sold us half of a top player.

Fred’s fault all day long. His teammates having to expect him to be shit isn’t an excuse. Not to forget the laughable attempt at a tackle by Shaw.

Actually thought he was good today- he's been playing a lot better offensively in recent weeks.

Rubbish. It was Fred’s man.

Wan-Bissaka was one of our better players today. You’d think after watching that halfwit Dalot through the week there would be a new-found appreciation for what he does.

AWB was doing the clever thing and dropping back to make himself available to receive a pass to cut off their counter attack. Fred's contribution was shocking, considering he had two chances to make a challenge and stop their attack.
Trying to absolve Fred because he's so often so useless in 50/50's is hilarious.

AWB had a very good game overall, easily one of our better performers.

He puts in a decent cross that Martial should have scored, but his technical abilities aren't good enough if we want to improve our build up play, his passing and first touch are extremely frustrating.

Good today, one of our best players at both ends of the pitch.
Yeah ill agree with that. Hes getting better and his cross was beautiful. It seems when he decides to do it, he... does it. I think doing that and mixing it with the cut backs will make it harder to defend him.

The minutes I saw AWB dropping back, it was obvious what was gonna happen.

I'm not absolving Fred from the blame but we've seen it over and over the last 2 years how weak he's in physical battles. It's technically not AWB's fault but our players should be smarter and cover for each other's weaknesses more.

AWB must be the only player in the planet who gets zero belief /encouragement from the good things he does.

Skins his man excellently and puts a cross perfectly on Martials head? Why of course, that's a sign that you should never attempt to do that again for the rest of the game.

He dropped back because Fred was on the man and if he beat Fred than Wan Bissaka is out of the game. His positioning was exactly what it should be. It was a shit show all around him.

Unusually for him his best moments were on the ball today, but he did make one key block, faded in the 2nd half though.

I think AWB has been affected by the red card from ECL. Fred has slowed down Gray and AWB would have taken him out as he normally did in the past.

Terrible going forward and abysmal with his positioning.

Everton deserved to win the game on the back of AWB being too fecking lazy to run out with everyone else in the 85th minute at home while chasing the win. Shocking.

He'd be the first United player I'd get rid of.

Followed by Fred and McTominay.

Those three are like the Bermuda triangle for lost balls

I admire him for keep going but in the final third he offers zero threat whatsoever.

I’d much rather he didn’t go into the space and leave Mason on his own. Or hold back and cover one of the CB’s so they can attack.

He played great in the 1st half but the goal's on him.
This might be the worst take of the day. Shaw and Fred get the bulk of the blame for that goal. I'd even blame Mctominay more than AWB. Bizzare how you could watch that goal and say its on him :houllier:

He is dreaming about the day Mason decides to catch him on the loop.

Are there still people who say 'he's a great defender, but his attacking..'?

The defensive side of his game is as big a problem as his possession stuff. Maybe bigger.

Consistently out of position, jogging back, multiple times today (including for a goal) playing everybody onside by ending up far deeper than the rest of our defensive line.

The part he played in the last goal, turning a no-danger situation into a clown show where he eventually gave the free-kick away, would have been comical if it wasn't so depressing.

All the good he did today was offset by the bad. He made some good tackles and interceptions, and he contributed well down the right side for once. Some good runs forward, and brought the ball out of defence well.

His positioning is shocking at times though, he was all over the place. And what he was doing for the 4th goal, I have no idea. You know Vardy is going to run across you and buy the foul, it's his signature move. Don't give him the opportunity, just clear it instead of trying to jink your way out of your own penalty area.

He needs football intelligence.

He has all the ingredients and physicality of a world class right back, but he's like the opposite of Philip Lahm on the footballer intelligence scale. He takes the right decision 50% of the time because his default modus is to tackle.

Does he have the least 'football-intelligence' of any recent player? Even before the horror shows for the goals, somewhere around the 65th minute, when there's no threat whatsoever the ball is deflected and going out near the halfway line. What does AWB? Sprints, hurls himself towards it, elegantly saving it before flying out of bounds, and out of play.

And what did doing this accomplish? Well, it invited Leicester to pour forward down the flank he'd completely abandoned, leading to yet another chance.

It's absolutely beyond my comprehension that a defender could look at the situation and make the decision he does.

Always said his positioning is awful. We'll never look solid when the onus is on us to score because he is so getable with just a couple of passes.

That cross when Ronaldo had got in front of his man in the second half and all it needed was the ball played in front of him

There was a poster who said Pep would start AWB above Walker.

50m down the lane. He can't defend ,can't attack and can't pass. God knows why he was signed.

And people laughed at me when I said I would start Livramento above him. See for yourselves, guys !

Now Shaw is back to regular Shaw we have nothing on either side. I didn't see this AWB playing well out the back today, I saw fans laughing at his cumbersome mistakes going forward.

His defending can be good and very bad. We've seen this against Brighton and Leipzig away famously, he had a run of poor games getting exposed positionaly in the first quarter/third of last season. I mean, yes I'd pick him over Dalot but wouldn't spend 50 million on such a limited player anyway. It's not a new thing to have attacking ability at left and right back, not even for this club.

It's typical poor buying thinking he would shore up the defence. I would hope we could play 352 to help in midfield at times but AWB has looked a travesty in that formation.

I would be giving him heavy training on controlling and passing on the touchline, he's an embarrassment and not comfortable at all. If this is happening in training then there's no hope for him.

We also have some very poor coaching and instructions, players need reminding during the match, we don't seem to have that so I dare say some of our players could be much better with the correct management. McTom a complete passenger now. Fred needed to be told against Everton. Our corner position is so poor. The top managers are shouting again and again for a player to get back where they should be while Ole can't recognize it and sits it out for the most part.

That wasn’t why they were laughing at you.
