Conte would be perfect for unlimited money.
He'll get £8mill if he gets sacked. If I were Bruce, I'd resign, pretending I care very much about human rights issues and go out like a civil rights hero, deflecting any attention away from my actual managerial skills.
yes mate, well regarded too but this would be too big an offer for him to turn down I'd imagineIs he still working at the City academy?
I've seen Lampard's name banded about as well.Gerrard seems to be getting mentioned quite a bit.
Ah ok cheers. Aye, I can't imagine he would turn it down if it's offered to him.yes mate, well regarded too but this would be too big an offer for him to turn down I'd imagine
Nailed on when he leaves Roma in the next 1-2 years. I think they would go for Conte now if they really wanted to climb the table fast. Lampard might get them in EL but he won't get them a CL spot.Mourinho please
Let’s be realistic, it’s gonna take a few years to overhaul that squad with CL capable playersNailed on when he leaves Roma in the next 1-2 years. I think they would go for Conte now if they really wanted to climb the table fast. Lampard might get them in EL but he won't get them a CL spot.
Please.Southgate.
Just for the fan meltdown.
Well yeah. Do you think they'll want to spend 3 years or 6? Lampard won't get them in the CL any sooner, that's for sure.Let’s be realistic, it’s gonna take a few years to overhaul that squad with CL capable players
I think Bruce should be given a chance with money till the end of the season.
City got taken over on the last day of the 2008-09 summer transfer window. Narrowly missed out on CL qualification their first full season with new owners (2009-10), and comfortably qualified in 2nd place their second full season.Let’s be realistic, it’s gonna take a few years to overhaul that squad with CL capable players
At this point in time they can within the boundaries of FFP spend 200m in the next 3 years. That’s enough to get them up again if they get relegated. I get that the league is significantly more competitive now, but there's no reason Newcastle can't go through a similar trajectory if they splash the cash and get the right people in.
That was there 2nd takeover in a row though, they'd had a good few million thrown at them the season before.City got taken over on the last day of the 2008-09 summer transfer window. You laugh but I assure you he won't spend all the money on a gold plated kebab, hopefully they'll be enough left over to buy Donny and Tony off us.
I'm a bit cynical when it comes to FFP and clubs with money. So far, FFP hasn't shown to have much teeth when challenged in court, and seems to have massive loopholes you can drive a truck through. But I'm no legal expert - we'll see how this pans out.At this point in time they can within the boundaries of FFP spend 200m in the next 3 years. That's a fair point. That was there 2nd takeover in a row though, they'd had a good few million thrown at them the season before.
I don't think so, there is enough deadwood floating about at big clubs to come and move them up the table in January. Then is their PL status is maintained there is still enough talent for them to pick up and have a team that can get into Europa League positions by the end of next season and by that time they would be just a few players away from a top four finish and a title challenge.Let’s be realistic, it’s gonna take a few years to overhaul that squad with CL capable players
You would expect a flurry of endorsement deals from companies linked to their fund which should substantially increase what they can spend on the team. That's the danger with a takeover of this nature, they could funnel the money via third parties that they have an interest in who would in turn come as 'corporate partners' and the PL wouldn't give a damn. The power these people have and the money they have will give them access to the best brains around to enable them to make a mockery out of FFP.At this point in time they can within the boundaries of FFP spend 200m in the next 3 years. Please make this happen
It depends on what you mean by them becoming a competitive team, doesn't it. Do you really think they will restrain themselves to spending within the FFP limits of 200m in 3 years? They obviously won't and how quick they rise depends on the people they bring in initially.Villa , Everton and Arsenal had been spending money for couple of years now. Do you think they will get a top 6 now? We threw money back in 2013/14/15 and what happened?
These things doesn't happen overnight. 3 years 200m is nothing. You get barely 70m over an year. Clubs know that they are filled with Cash and will add a premium now.
It will take atleast 5 years to even become a competitive team.
Yeah, just for the the lols. The True Geordie
