This is the same guy who went on a really weird rant with stats about how Higuain is better than Benzema. I think he just really hates Big Body Benz

The notion Real Madrid would just throw away the most eclectic, adaptable and one of the most reliable strikers on the planet who is still performing at a world class level that shows zero signs of abating, is incredulous.

Even more so when he is the best foil on the planet (literally proven in his sacrifices to fully unlock Ronaldo) to either of them.

Has a striker ever held down the starting spot at Real Madrid (no less) for longer than Benzema? He is the bedrock of the side who is looking like a ballon contender this season thus far, even the Madridista's would cry foul to see him mistreated. By now, there's easy consideration for him to be in their best squad of all-time (23-man - xi and bench), which is an incredible feat given they have the greatest conveyor belt of elite talent the game has ever seen touched down at their club since the 50's.

Then Real Madrid is not the club for Haaland. Benzema would have to play second fiddle again and adapt his role in the team if they want to have any hope of signing him. There is a big difference between throwing away and finding a new role for Benz though...Haaland would instantly replace the goals they have been missing since Ronaldo left.

If I could choose between any player in the world right now for the #9 position, I would choose Haaland. It doesn't matter what they have won before, all that matters is what they will deliver you right now and in the future. No team in the world should have Haaland in their squad and not play him 100% of the time if he's fit, and no other player will score more goals for you. Players like Benzema and Ronaldo would have to play support roles with Haaland in the squad. He will break every record for you.

I certainly hope that is playing here for us.

If Haaland would say no to us and goes to Madrid - I would be happy if maybe we could get Benzema.

Doubt either of those two happen though.

The Glazers are more likely to sell when we are successful, as share value will be high. Investors don't make money selling when stock is low.

This can be seen by how they have sold a percentage now in the wake of Ronaldo coming back which caused our share prise to jump.

Remember we are self sustaining, when we sign a player it doesn't come out of their pocket.
I doubt we will grow faster than other major clubs in the prem. City have already caught us up value-wise, Chelsea are growing fast too. Newcastle will definetely do their best to catch the big boys as soon as they can, and are likely to be a big player in the transfer market. If we do not win anything major in the next couple of years, they will sell imo, as they will have more teams to compete against for trophies. City buying Haaland and being managed by Pep are very unlikely to finish below United both in the prem and CL. I do not see us winning the prem this season or next season, especially if the noisy neighbours manage to buy this young and hungry goals scoring machine.

I think I agree with what @Sayros said a few weeks ago, about Mbappe and Haaland playing together.
Is Haaland going to accept a secondary role, like Bale/Karim with Cris?.
When one scores 25 and 10 assists and the other 35, who will be the one pushed to the ballon d'or? who will be the cover. Looking at some of Haaland's reactions, he seems like a very competitive guy.

And Benzema? He is 34 years old but right now he is a top 3 in the world and in a few months he will continue to be important enough to not be relegated to the background.
Madrid sell when the players protest for the contracts but this is not the case with Benzema, who the president adores, and I don't think he will force him to leave. The two sharing a team seems unfeasible to me right now.
All this assuming that Mbappe won't renew

The duality of man
I’ve said it before that Benzema sacrificed himself to accommodate Ronaldo which was the right thing as he got 4 CL medals but it also affected his goal scoring record which some now try underrate him due too it.
When in reality it’s the opposite he played the false 9 like Firmino at Liverpool which he is the best I’ve ever seen in history to do it.
I wonder do the same people think the same about Rooney ? When Ronaldo was here Rooney sacrificed himself by playing out of position and working back but when Ronaldo left he went up top as the main man and scored 34 in 2 different seasons.

I know this trick and others presented in the classic Joga Bonito is nice and all but in real match scenario they would never happen. Like Ronaldinho wouldnt have to hit the post 5 times in a row with his volleys and in this case no real match would ever let three balls on the pitch and there is no plastic marker in the goal because its dangerous for the goal keeper.

It's just a filmtrick obviously. I have no doubt Haaland can place shots like that but the stacking of balls is just not possible. Try it.

If you look closely at the area behind the ball(s) you will see an area of the pitch change. Edited footage/filmtrick with "bluescreen".

Dortmund have come out and said it’s 100% real
Also I looked and the area of the pitch 100% doesn’t change.

It’s very annoying that United won’t be able to get him. Wish we’d just go full on moneybags for him.I just can’t see it.

I don't understand why Haaland gets 0 hype as a candidate to finish 3rd place of 2021 Ballon d'Or compared to Benzema & Jorginho.

  • Haaland is a top 2 striker itw. Jorginho is generally not even in the even conversation as the best midfielder itw

  • Haaland has better individual stats than Benzema in 2021 calender year. According to Transfermarket, the Norwegian made 41 goals + 15 assists in 3803 minutes (1.33 G/A per 90) while Benzema made 34 goals + 12 assists in 3978 minutes (1.04 G/A per 90).

  • Haaland won a trophy that actually matters (DFB-pokal) while Benzema won nothing with Real Madrid or Euro 2020.
Couple of reasons:
- no major trophy won
- It’s BL, where their very best products like Havertz, Werner, Sancho seems to be struggling hard elsewhere

Haaland is still among my top 5 though, he is still sensational in CL, he probably just need to move to better league, or win bigger trophies, to get more recognition.

I don’t think it’s really that hard to believe he could pull that out. Afterall I think he is best “young striker” the world have seen over past 20 years.

Yes, we know it's fake.
Pretty sure this was the first 'true' viral video?

didn't it reach 1 million views before anything else or something like that. I remember it being pretty famous anyway.
