Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
I’m absolutely convinced that Ole will somehow nick a result against Liverpool as he’s unbelievably good at getting a crucial result right when it matters in huge games after a bad run.

And after his ‘something’s got to give’ comment he’s obviously going to bench 1 or 2 big players.

I’m so curious to see how he lines up against the dippers, what are your predictions?

Midfield 3 with VdB?

Rashford?

Change of formation?

5-3-2 with McT, Fred, Bruno midfield, Ronaldo and Rashford forwards.

McFred will undoubtedly start.

Play decent enough for 20 odd mins, but then slowly but surely Liverpool will take control and score. Then heads will drop, tactically we'll be a mess and Liverpool will stroll to a 2-0 victory.

This. I don’t think we’ll get a result, though. The mounting pressure feels a bit different this time round to previous.
I feel like we have more chance with 11 players..

It does. The better players the more glaring it is on bad management.

3 at the back (or 5 depending on how you look at it) with McFred in midfield

3-1 loss

He might do a Mourinho

---------------------------De Gea
AWB---Lindelof--Maguire--Varane--Shaw
------------Fred----------McTominay
--------------------Bruno
------Ronaldo-----------Rashford

Try and hit them on the break, but hold on to a 0-0 for dear life. We'll concede a set piece though and then they'll pick us apart on the break

I was going to post similar except I think it is more likely Shaw alongside Maguire and Telles at LWB.

With the quality in the squad now, it’s difficult to create that siege mentality we’ve relied on the in the past to bounce back from bad results. We don’t look to have the same sense of squad unity now, either.

Starting to get sick of this "knowing Ole he will get a result against Liverpool" nonsense. Theres no evidence that will be the case unless we park the bus for 90 mins and hope ride our luck massively. This adage is going to die a death with the run we have and way we are playing.

Shame we can't stick Dan James on the right for his workrate. He'll go for 5 at the back but we'll lose 3-1.

I truly believe he'll drop all of the summer signings but Varane if he's fit enough.

DDG
AWB - VARANE - MAGUIRE - SHAW
MCT - FRED
BRUNO - POGBA
RASHFORD - CAVANI

(On phone so can't edit layout but that 11).

He just needs to drop Pogba for me, play Fred and VDB in the middle and I’d have Rashford on the left, Sancho on the right, Ronaldo up front.

CavanI, Greenwood & Pogba to come on after an hour.

……………..……De Gea
AWB…Lindelof….Maguire….Shaw
………….Fred……..VDB
Sancho……..Bruno…..Rashford
………………..Ronaldo

Subs
Cavani
Greenwood
Pogba

its crazy we can’t get a cohesive team out of those players.

He surely won’t drop Ronaldo again if fit, but I do feel he’s gonna do something maverick.
I get the sense that he's ready to go out swinging. Ronaldo has been the first to show public dissent.

I do hope he's got the fire to do something like this. Only way to save his job imo.

I just don’t see what dropping Ronaldo is going to fix, we’ll still be wide open in the middle.

If we let them score first, it's game over, they'll kill us on the break. I'm expecting a standard 4-2-3-1 setup to play on the counter since they'll attack anyway.

McFred, Bruno, Rashford, Greenwood seems pretty likely.

I think the big question is Cavani vs Ronaldo. I'd be impressed if he drops Ronaldo for Cavani for the workrate but if we lose the game then it's going to cost him his job.

He will drop Ronaldo and Pogba, play all his workhorses to set us up ultra-defensive and hit them on the break. I suspect it'll look something like this

DDG
AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
Lingard McTominay Fred Rashford
Bruno
Cavani

If he starts to drop his new signings that won’t be a good look for him though, who’d want to join a team who just rely on the old players, we’d soon have James (fair enough), VDB, Sancho & Ronaldo as failures in the last few windows haha.

He needs to be better a integrating players into the team.

Fully respect you guys for making the call, and yeah there’s a part of me that can almost see it…

I just don’t know if it’s a call he’d make after the Everton game.

If he does drop him and gets a result, then he’s just bossed the dressing room and put his authority back on the team…

However, if he drops him AND loses he’ll get the sack I reckon.

I also think if he drops him it shows that he never actually wanted Ronaldo.

In fact, I already think that it’s highly possible he didn’t want Ronaldo.

He will do what all managers do when their backs are against the wall, pick "their guys", except Ronaldo of course.

De Gea
AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
McTominay Fred
Greenwood Bruno Rashford
Ronaldo

Obviously depends on what happens midweek but this is who Ole will pick vs Liverpool if they're all fit, guaranteed.

I’d like to see what Sancho can do from the right, as good as Mason‘s long range shooting is I don’t think he’s been tearing it up so rotating him is hardly out of the question.
Greenwood’s been excellent this season but right

Yh now I think of it I don't think he's ever beaten Klopp in the league (feel free to correct me if wrong!). We beat them in one of the QF's but that's it from memory. We're overdue one, that's for sure.

How? Cavani presses a lot more, and there's 4 mids in there. But it's not so much the tactical side, but the message it sends to the team, and world.

He's losing the players with each week. If he carries on the same way, then he's just waiting for the inevitable. So he's got to do something drastic here.

What better way than to do the unthinkable. Drop Ronaldo who's probably not a huge fan of him at this point anyway, and he looks a genius if he gets a result.

Lindelof - Maguire - Shaw
AWB - McTominay - Fred - Telles
Bruno
Greenwood - Ronaldo

I’d imagine that will be the side.

Everton didn't beat them for something like 18 years in the league. Not sure we're due one with the respective shapes both teams are in.

He said he trusts Fred and mctominay to give him their best. He depends on them with his life, and so klopp is gonna take it.
