It's really good. Just watched episode 7 and things are heating up. I only wish I could binge them all in one go.

The three leads (Martin Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez) work well together. A decent number of laughs as well, as you might expect.

I love this show! Watched episode 6 tonight, I guess Europe is one week behind. The cast is brilliant.

Really good show. I’m loving the mystery & enjoying the pretty relaxed vibe of each episode. The main cast are perfect for their roles.

yep… started the same time as America but they got an extra episode week 1 & UK/Europe have been an episode behind since. Really annoying as I thought the point of Disney+ was for simultaneous releases so I wouldn’t have to worry about spoilers.

Anyone know how many episodes there will be in the whole series? I'm afraid to Google it for fear of spoilers, as I've only watched the first couple of episodes.

Episode 9 seemed like a bit of a filler to set up the finale.

Anybody have any theories?

It's a tough one.

The cat guy?

The doorman ?

The police Woman?

Have we really seen any other characters featured more heavily?

I though they hinted quite strongly at Jan with the reveal of the 'sex toys'.

But I'm going to guess that the shooter was Oscar.

Some guesses:
The poison that killed Tim was from Jan's pizza rolls which she was making to kill the cat.

Tim went to Jan's apartment to talk about returning her bassoon case and that's when accidentally ate some of the poison pizza rolls. It's also when he picked up Jan's trash to throw away.

Oliver's dog ate some of the poison pizza rolls from somewhere.

Jan successfully killed the cat, but cat guy managed to stab her in retaliation.

Oscar used the fire alarm as cover to go upstairs as tie-dye guy and shoot Tim as revenge for his jail time. But he was already dead, so the shot only finished the job.

Jan is the favourite & given how she was portrayed in earlier shows & then how she got so involved quickly with the phone data, she was the one that made the father & son guilty and no one ever checked properly what was on the phone & she could have removed evidence linking her.

Good finale. It was a fun series overall. Looking forward to season 2 (assuming it gets renewed).

Only thing I don't get is who wrote the note that was pinned to Jan's door.

As is her face. Bad plastic surgery or botox. Something is very wrong with it anyway.

I’m not sure about this series at all. It’s all so self-consciously quirky and not as funny as it thinks it is. 8 episodes in and not sure I can be bothered finishing.

Humbug dude.

She hasn't had surgery.... she has had a lot of issues due to bullying and she looks great.

I was a bit reluctant to watch the show when i saw Selina Gomez was starring but she has been fantastic in it and it wouldn't work without her.

Haven't seen the finale yet but certainly hope there are a few more seasons it is nice watching something original and the chemistry in the cast is excellent

I’ll eat my hat if she hasn’t had at least a load of botox injections. Her face seems almost completely paralysed.
From everything I know, she had her serious illness about 3 years ago and a Kidney transplant. Aside from that nothing i'm aware off.

Also, if you are a House fan, you will chuckle at this, because she had a form of Lupus.

In House, they diagnosed Lupus nearly every show and no one ever had it

Ok, I feel bad now. Some of the meds she’s on for Lupus/kidney transplant could alter her appearance :(

I think years ago she also had image issues & eating disorders as well. Some of that could haven been related to her then undiagnosed condition

I started watching this Sunday and finished tonight. Perfect timing for the finale.

For a second I thought I remembered Jan from House (Cutthroat Bitch), but then realized she was Beadie in the Wire. Hoping she didn't poison Jimmy McNulty too.

Why did it trigger me so much when the elevator that they took from Jean's floor took longer to get to Charles' floor than the second elevator that only opened its doors when theirs was already closing down

If you meant at the very beginning of that whole 'Open and Shut' sequence, when Steve Martin uses his foot to press the call button, then it's even weirder that the door opens for him right away, unless Jan sent the elevator back up for some reason.

Yeah, exactly. Although maybe they have one of those non-Eucledian Willy Wonka's elevators in Arconia.

Damn. Write that show. That's a great idea. Infinite Hotel.

Hopefully it gets explained in the next season. It seems like the kind of thing they'd use (Jan sent it back up for her accomplice/handler, something like that)

I don't think it's possible without any interferences with the space-time continuum :)

1. Charles' apartment is on the top (14th) floor although it doesn't even matter — but just to establish that Jan's one is below
2. Mabel & Oliver get into the elevator on Jan's floor at X o'clock, going up to Charles
3. Jane arrives — let's say that it's also 00:00, but her elevator is only opening, so, by the time that the doors are closed again it's already X + 1 o'clock
4. Even if she sent it back for whatever reason, there's still a +1 time gap between the elevators
5. For some reason the second elevator arrives earlier (at Y + ? o'clock) and has enough time for Charles to get into (not from the first try, mind you, spending lots of valuable time) and close the doors again before Oliver & Mabel arrive (at Y o'clock). So the Y +1 transformed into at least to Y -2 during its time in the shaft

To be fair if their elevators are so bad that the weight of two people makes them that much slower so that an empty elevator can make up the difference between just a few floors... but those elevators have to be a safety hazard in that case

Love this show! Can’t wait for season 2. The only thing I can watch with Martin short in it. He’s super in this.

Selena Gomez is hot too

Tl;dr I agree with everything you said here. Reading further is not necessary.

Earlier I should have included that per how that sequence was edited, there would have also needed to be some sort of slowdown for the Short-Gomez Spacetime elevator, which you then pointed out. I also like how in your closing comment you proposed some sort of invisible multi-limbed alien life form clinging to the bottom of their elevator and thus slowing it down and severe safety code violations leading to said life form being able to attach itself thus.

Also Jan/Jane/Jean in your multiple timelines is brilliant. Looks like the same person; totally different entity. I am dead serious, write this show. Show Loki how badly they screwed up a good idea.
