Must be tough as a Geordie to be called out like that.

Hope they hire Gattuso or David Batty

It would be deserved with or without the takeover.
The squad is Championship quality after years of neglect from Ashley he did well just keeping them up. They have probably 2 decent players and a squad for of championship level drivel.

He’s not the right man to take them forward given their newly found blood money but the disrespect being shown is fecking ridiculous.

Bruce is better off out of there. Ranieri had a long difficult year when he was obviously unwanted at Chelsea.

The man deserved more respect for keeping them up in a Mike Ashley regime, but ultimately he was never going to be the person to manage a team of superstars going into the future.
I can see it from both sides. Even if you discount the takeover, I dont think they have won a game this season yet have they? I could be wrong on that Based on results he couldnt continue.

Pathetic the way he was treated trying to give his all for a poorly run club. The fans idolised Rafa who essential left them as he wasn’t getting what he wanted yet the guy who was giving his all trying to keep them up was treated poorly. Enjoy your retirement brucey!

They'll be a payoff underneath it all. Probably came to an agreement to say that, so it looks better on them PR wise.
£8mil according to my Geordie mate. Hard to feel too sorry for him.

I can't believe he said those words about people calling him a fat cabbage head.

Feel sorry for Brucey. He did as good a job as was ever possible with the squad and setup above him there. The vile abuse he suffered was beyond awful during his time there. Wish him the best of luck in whatever he does next.

Bruce did alright under Ashley but that era is now over. He might not be the last Newcastle manager to be sacked this season.

The saddest thing is, he would be a minor upgrade over Ole. If Ole were sacked today, Bruce would be offered a new job first, even after stating he might not want one.

He did a great job there considering the shit squad he inherited from the waiter. I hope they are all but relegated before they can sign a single player.

Read this morning that Wayne Rooney is on the list of potential replacements and is interested in the job............

They'll be a list of big name managers who fancy this. Lots of cash, minimum risk, huge reward
They're not going to get a Conte/Zidane now when they're not even in Europe but they'll probably go for someone a rung or two down, someone like Favre who can get them to stay up this season, get them in the European spots in the next two seasons after that (I'm including Europa in this) then they'll discard him and go for a top one then.

Ole would get a Prem job, Bruce was never getting out of the Championship without his mate doing him a favour

Newcastle fans are utter cnuts. With the shit team they have, avoiding relegation is about as much as they should have expected from any Manager.

They treated Bruce like shit, despite him securing a 12th place finish - higher than Benitez did (who the Newcastle fans seem to love). The abuse he has endured went way beyond football and was disgusting, to the point Bruce said 'I'm just glad my parents aren't alive to see what they say about me'.

Bruce is a great guy, nobody in the game has a bad word to say about him. I met Steve on a number of ocassions while he was United captain and he was a gracious kind bloke who had time for everyone (as well as being a great player for us).

I hope Newcastle are cursed by the Saudi blood money.

Fonseca and Howe are both in Newcastle since yesterday. It looks nailed on to be one of those 2.

I feel really sorry for him after reading that statement. Yeah he has had a pay off, so what? Money isn't everything. He is a Geordie at heart and I'm sure the disrespect he has been shown has really hurt him personally and professionally. If this is his last job, enjoy your retirement Brucey.

Bruce is a better manager. Was great at Birmingham and has done a couple of decent jobs since. Ole doesn't have the same pedigree

Poor bloke looked a mess on Sunday, put out of his misery (and a big wad of cash).
Newcastle fans treated him like shit. They’re massive, entitled twats.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

Finishing 2nd and getting to European finals doesn’t count as pedigree then? Interesting. Always amazes me how nothing Ole has done at this club counts as management - it always goes back to 8 months at fecking Cardiff. Also amazes me how the same tedious bellends can turn any thread about anything into a thread slating him. Over and over again. The same bollocks. In. Every. Thread.

Then you'll see the same fellas turn round and have a cut off Newcastle fans for disrespecting Bruce.

Solskjaer could get us relegated and he'd still deserve more respect from United fans than he gets on here.

Definitely doesn't deserve any abuse he gets. He did a decent job in crap circumstances to be fair to him. There's a lot that would have given it a worse go. He's had some pretty crap circumstances in that he's was manager under a crap owner, then replaced for not being a sexy enough name by the new owners and also he was never going to live up to the previous big name manager they had.

I have nothing but respect and like for Bruce
He might not be a top manager but Newcastle dont deserve any better than him

They don't deserve him either as a person

On another point I'll never ever forget the joy from his goals against Wednesday
