Wonder if they have a replacement lined up, other than Xavi. Whoever they appoint will surprise us and we’ll be thinking why United didn’t make a move for that guy (except Xavi of course).
They'll make an attempt for ETH I think but end up with Xavi. We'll see.

Interesting time for older managers, you've got Harry Redknapp, Sam Allardyce, Roy Hodgson, Steve Bruce, Ronald Koeman + a bunch of others who are out of job and possibly won't manage again,

Times change and people get older but usually there's one or two managers coming to an end, where as in the last year there seems to be a lot of managers who have left what will probably be their last job, sad times.

I've never been convinced by Koeman's man management but I have always been impressed with his knowledge of the game during interviews.

They are probably going to secure Ten Hag too. feck’s sake
Then sign half of Ajax for cheap when they can.

Xavi could be caretaker till Enrique gives the World Cup a go, then he could return?

In a twilight zone world one of these would happen
-Moyes goes to Barca
-Mourinho goes to Barca
-Ole goes to Barca

There is 0 chance Ten Hag will leave Ajax mid season. Why the feck would he at this point. Ajax are infinitely better at the moment and he will be hot property if this season progresses the way it does.

Based on?
Koeman is shite, but he's a more accomplished coach than Ole surely? He did very well with our national team, Feyenoord and to a lesser extend PSV. He was decidedly meh in England, but still. What did Ole achieve before United?

He said Xavi is better, not Koeman.

This. Them sacking him Koeman now is actually a good thing for us.

People seem to think big clubs can just snatch whoever they want, whenever they want, but how often does that really happen?

Also, as bad as we are currently, they are in much worse shape than us. Poison chalice if I ever saw one

Hopefully he sees us as a better project (for next year). We may make some daft decisions but we've got some great players and tons of cash.

Ten Hag would be mad to go to Barca in their current state, can't see it happening.
Flip side to that argument is: if he waits until someone gets them in a better state, he probably wont be offered the job, since the one in charge is doing a good job. If he wants the Barcelona-job, he´ll take it whenever.

Right. Results have got too bad. So it wasn’t actually about money it was ultimately about results. The results weren’t bad enough when they got thumped by benfica and Bayern. They’ve decided they are bad enough now. Thanks for proving my point.
How was it not about money? It was finances and results. Barca still owe money on transfers. Of course the financial situation was one if the reasons they delayed sacking Koeman. They didn't want to sack him due to the pay off but they've obviously now decided they have no choice and will have to a find a way to recuperate the money. If they were in a healthy financial state he would have been sacked long ago. When a club has no money they'll tend to hope blindly that things work out. Not sure why that's so hard for you to understand.

"thanks for proving my point". Are you OK?

A front three of Depay, Fatti and Aguero. The midfield is basically the same one that Spain fields and no one can seem to take the ball of them. Maybe the Defence is shaky but in general thats a good lineup.
Except, Fati and Aguero are just coming back from a long injury, and Aguero was terrible last night. And bar those 3 all their other forwards are shit with the exception of Dembele who is a crock. Busquets Gavi Pedri have rarely (if at all) been available together. Their defence is woeful, with the exception of Ter Stegen and Araujo (injured).

Still Koeman has made some questionable decisions and deserves the sack.

ETH has no reason to take a step down from Ajax and go to a club with limited resources, it's not like he's an ex Barca footballer. It'll be Xavi and even if he does okay the pressure from the entitled fans will still mount.

His point is they lowered their standards because sacking him was difficult financially. It's like going for FloppyFloppy cereal instead of Kellogs when you're on a budget. They would have sacked him sooner if they had the money.

Xavi is 1/5 and Conte is 33/1 with the bookies so no they're not getting Conte for the season and this wont affect us at all except for showing even more how clueless our owners are.

They're both shite, but Koeman is shite and also a bit of a prick too.
