I think he's better than Ole and will probably get Utd winning a cup or 2 and always in the top 4 but he would only be here for a few years i feel before the fans turned on him.

The question isn't "is he better than Ole". I think most of us would agree he is.

But the question is, is Rodgers now better than Ten Hag in the summer but continuing to struggle on for the remainder of the season? Or Poch in the summer?

I think its fair to say that the vast majority of alternatives are ultimately better than getting Rodgers now.

Not the most fashionable of managerial choices and I'm sure most would prefer Zidane or Poch but I'd be happy with Rogers. Conte would have been my first choice but Rogers would be my second.

He's improved every team he's gone to and he gets teams playing good football very quickly. Took an average Liverpool team and had them playing frighteningly good attacking football and was a Gerrard slip away from winning the league. Absolutely dominated with Celtic. I know it's a crap league but going unbeaten in the league all season and trebles in both his first 2 seasons there is not to be scoffed at. Took an average Leicester and has them consistently in Europe now and challenging for top 4.

With the better quality of player and financial power we have at United I genuinely think he could get us back challenging for the league.

Massively underperforming with Leicester and is looking for any excuse to leave them. Leicester fans also delighted if they can get rid of him.

It'd be an awful appointment, on a par with Spurs hiring Nuno.

I really hope we don't end up getting him. Such an underwhelming choice. Same goes for Poch.

Leicester are below us, we would need to replace him in 2 years again.
Would be typical of this poorly run to replace its current manager with a fella that has a good side below United in the table.

I really really don’t like the bloke, and I’d absolutely hate to see a failed Liverpool manager at United.

That said, if the choice is continue the entire season with Ole regardless or bring him in? feck me that’s a tough one.

Blanc or Ragnarök (whatever his name is), there are better mid season caretakers if we can’t get our number one pick now.

Pretty sure we spent more on Sancho than all their summer signings combined. Bit of perspective when comparing Manchester United and Leicester.

I never thought things would reach the point where the Caf as a whole were so desperate for Ole to be sacked that it would be worse than under Mourinho and LvG's reigns.

They’re a couple of points behind us it’s really close from 6-12th spot and he’s finished 5th on the last 2 seasons with Leicester he’s probably over-achieving to be fair. The Europa League isn’t helping they don’t have the squad for it.

Keep in mind they sell one if their star players every summer and have done for the last few years.

No. His Liverpool connections alone would put him at a disadvantage from the start. I’m not convinced he has the nous to get us back to the top where we belong. I’d prefer to go for Ten Hag. His teams play good football and he seems to be able to develop young players.

Leicester have got one of the best boards and the best scouting network in the Prem, and that has nothing to do with Rodgers, he just benefits from it.

Overall he's done a very average job at Leicester. Best moment the FA cup win no doubt. He's obviously a decent manager there's just nothing there to think he can be more than that. There are half a dozen much more promising options on the continent, choosing Brenton over them would just be a sign of the spinelessness and lack of football nous of our board yet again.

He’s won the FA cup and finished 5th a couple of times after spending most of the season within the top 4 all whilst playing attractive football. I don’t want him here after being at Liverpool but Leicester aren’t doing much better than that in the PL today with the squads Chelsea, Liverpool, City and United have they should be miles behind us.

I like Rodgers but no point appointing him if 2/3 of our fan base are against it. He'd be behind the cue ball from the off.
I’d hardly call this forum representative of the fan base

if he got appointed the crowd would get behind him.

No thanks,

I think the job he is doing at Leicester is made to look a lot better by how well Leicester are run as a club which we are definitely not, his brand of football is hardly world class, he’s doing a decent job at his current club but I hope he comes no where near us

God no, not Rodgers.
Bottled it twice with Leicester as well as with Liverpool, a serial bottler.
Despite the mess that we find ourselves in Leicester is still 2 points behind us, and they’re on the verge of being knocked out of the EL.
Add to this that he’s an ex-Liverpool manager.
He shouldn’t even be under consideration.

They’ve won 1 of their last 5 games (it was on penalties to Brighton in the Carabao). They are 12th in the table - with 16 goals for (1 fewer than us) and 18 goals against (2 more than us).

Why is he one of the favourites for the job, again?
Because we're not a very well run club, I should imagine.

It's not exactly representative maybe but I'd be surprised if it was much different. Why would a redcafe United fan be any different than one who doesn't use the site? It's probably why surveys are used here surely.

He's not even close to my first choice, but I don't think the board would seriously consider anybody "hipster" and a lot of the top managers are ruled out for various reasons. I think he'd get us top 4 this season so I'd be up for that.

Does he do anything more than that, though? I think the longterm appointment of Rodgers just concedes that the goal is simply ‘being up there’ a bit. At least someone like Ten Hag has the possibility of offering something unpredictable and maybe we can actually compete for a title.

I agree ETH would be a much better choice. Don't see the board going for him though.

We've spent nearly half a billion. Of course they're behind us.

He is a good manager, without a doubt, but if we get him then this is the board taking the easy safe option of a manager that doesn’t rock the boat, too nice. Why Ten Haag or Rangnick aren’t high on our list of priorities is beyond me.

I really hope this is true. While Im in no clamour to sack Brendan, I think it would be good for us both. I dont feel that his heart is in it. He desperately wants Kasper to be Ederson, Soyuncu to be Diaz, Tilemans to be DeBruyne. Thing is, they arent. We have very good players, who set up properly, could still get among the golden boys and upset them. But, trying to send them out impersonating, (badly), Man City, we will only stay mediocre. Leicester is a tough job. To stay among the top teams, requires constant re-invention, this now needs a change of coach. LCFC is still a very good job, for the tier of manager without a foreign name, wanting to move up. Potter is the obvious one, as none of the chosen few seem likely to risk it. I would welcome Dyche, too. He gets undeserved press, but works well with the tools provided to him. I believe our aquad is better than that of either of the afore mentioned’s. I also think that he could be a success with you. He is a very good coach, and strikes me as a good fit. Fingers crossed, huh?

Please God no.

I think there's more than 15 managers in the PL that I would take over Brendan fecking Rodgers.

Poch and Rodgers are certainly a few levels ahead of Ole but they both like they'll be sacude soon by their current teams.
