Every other big team addresses their needs within a single window. We always take years to fix problem positions.

Whenever a non-spanish player at Barca is slightly not good enough, Everton will be there to pick them up..

Its therefore inevitable Lenglet will end up there within 2 seasons..

Every other club buys a new player, puts them in the starting 11 the next weekend and they score / play well.

United always let players "settle" for months before they break in to the first 11.

Solution: buy in January like we did with Bruno

I always feel that we have hard fixtures every week and that our rivals have easier ones. Or that we're playing teams at a bad time (New Manager, players back to fitness etc).

I know that's not true but it always feels that way

Feels like we've always got Southampton/Villa/Wolves away whilst City thrash Watford 6 - 0 and Liverpool put 5 past Norwich.

All England's goals in the last 5 years have been either scored by Sterling or a diving header from Kane.

Or every team who plays those two put in a hell of a lot less effort than when they play us?

To me it feels like every time we fill a hole in our team a new one appears. Like how next season after we've fixed our DM problem we'll likely need to replace the creative hole Pogba leaves behind (but we won't).

Manchester City have won the last 10 league cups, and they beat us in the semifinal every single time.
Bit of an addition/tweak to this: We lose every time we face Manchester City in a cup competition. Worse yet, they go on to win that competition after beating us.

Anthony Martial was supposed to be the Messi/Ronaldo of this generation. When he failed at achieving this, God sent Mbappe onto the Earth to take his place.

When we score more than 4 goals in a game we always seem to struggle to score in the following game.

This is easily explainable by the fact you were younger in 99-08. Perceived passing of time gets much faster as you age.
Thats because, for example when you're 10 1 year is 10% of the time you've been alive. When you're 60 it's 1.666r% of you're lifetime.

Once you start having to wear a hand bandage, you will do so for the rest of your professional career.

If you play another PL side in the league cup, you will always play a league game against them immediately before or after the tie.

Everytime I'm hangover there's inevitably a Borussia Mongenblach game being transmitted.

Was literally just thinking this the other day. Seems to happen a lot in my FM games as well.

Always proceeded by "these two should know each other pretty well by now" in the commentary as we go into the 3rd game of the season between said two sides.

Norwich will sneak in one surprising result against a big team every year that they are in the Prem, and then lose every other game to a big six team by a score of 5-0.

Every time two teams play each other in a short space of time they will probably each win one of the games, and certainly never both matches.

Quique Sanchez Flores has managed Watford way more than just 2 times. It feels like they hire him for a few months in winter every season they spend in the PL, after inevitably sacking their original manager.

Every game Brentford plays is at home against a top side for some reason.

Duncan Ferguson will be the Interim Assistant Manager at Everton indefinitely. No manager particularly wants him there but will never want to sack him either.

Old matches from the 1990's/early 2000's on YouTube only feel 'right' if they're uploaded from a hissy, low-fi VHS tape recorded off-air. Pristine, official uploads (of which there were hundreds last year) don't convey that same sense of nostalgia and time capsuling.

No Prem matches between 1992 - 1997 were played in the sun. It was always overcast, floodlit and frosty. You could see everybody's breath.

Teams that played in the early seasons of the Premier League are awaiting their eventual return back to where they belong, even if it's getting on for 30 years and it concerns the likes of Oldham and Swindon that barely/never played in the top flight at any other point in history.

David Beckham grew several inches in height after cutting his hair short.
