You said "worse", but I wonder how you know what it's called.
You know I like him so I follow the news about him a bit more closely than most. The news that some idiot made this "song" about him took two minutes of my life, and the least it can do to repay me for that is enabling me to post irrelevant facts on a forum that also takes time from my life.

Isn't it beautiful how useless we can waste time due to our favourite sport?

Müller will make his 600th appearance for Bayern's professional team tomorrow. A good article about him and how his role changed:

Kicker released an article detailling Bayern's (and I guess most other club's) isssues with unvaccinated players:
Since restrictions are being tightened and hotels are (about to be) under the "2G" rule (people have to be either vaccinated or recently recovered from the virus). Their home state has issued an exception to this rule for business travellers, but for other states (e.g. potentially their game in Dortmund) they supposedly plan to keep the players in question (Kimmich, Gnabry and Musiala are named) out of the team bus and instead chauffeur them in separate cars to the game and rent them a holiday flat.

I wonder if this will change the approach of clubs to player vaccinations, since before it didn't seem to affect daily operations too much, aside from actual infections. But now this segregation does (slightly) disrupt their process.

And on another front a fan is trying to propose a motion at Bayern's upcoming annual member's meeting, that would compel the club to use every legal measure to get out and stay out of any sponsoring contract with any Qatar Airways and any other Qatar owned business.
He claims that the club keeps ignoring him and that they have told him they didn't get to check the validity of his proposal yet and that they are trying to waste time to prevent a vote on this issue from happening."
"It must not be allowed that the club can escape this debate without punishment!", so now he wants to pursue legal action against them.

If he's actually successful that could set an interesting precedent for other German clubs as well. For example Schalke, who are still connected to Tönnies through various sponsorship deals or Union Berlin, who are sponsored by Aroundtown, when real estate investment companies aren't exactly popular at the moment.

I actually think that the most unvaccinated players did not really expect what happens now. Kimmich missed training today again as one of his close personal contacts might have catched Covid. Depending on the pending result of the test of this person he will have to go into quarantine again.

The problem is that a jab now does not end this theatre. Johnson & Johnson right now is not really a thing in Germany so you are only fully vaccinated with 2 jabs of the other and additional 2 weeks. So - even if Kimmich and the others now have gotten their first jabs it will take until after Xmas until they will not be a problem!

Bayern could each get them an own bus like pop stars have. Surely someone is friends with someone like Justin Bieber.
Or fully commit to van life, it's quite trendy anyway.

They can not have missed what happened at clubs like Mainz at the beginning of the season and Kimmich even went so far as to argue his refusal on TV. I'm not sure it's just naivety and laziness (or whatever you want to call it) that prevented them from getting it. They could probably get a shot within minutes if they called their club doctor. If they wanted to.

Also, speaking about vaccination:

Werder just announced that their head coach is under investigation for allegedly using a faked certificate.

One of Bremen's local outlets claims to have more details about the accusations:

They claim that suspicions were raised when one of his player's (Marco Friedl) contacts were traced after an infection.
According to them the vaccine batch number and the date of vaccination in Anfang's vaccination certificate raised suspicions. The latter, because it supposedly overlaps with his duties as Werder coach.

We're getting hammered again. Down 0:2 and looking pretty lost. What an odd team.

What happened? Augsburg have been so terrible this season, I didn't even bother checking the score until now

Bayern conceded 12 goals in the last 5 games (including the still ongoing, which is now 2-1). WTF happened to their defence? At the beginning of the season Nagelsmann was praised for stabilizing the defence, and now this...

Referee keeps letting Augsburg get away with blatant tactical fouling, very frustrating refereeing performance as well as a very frustrating attacking performance by Bayern.

Well feck me. I mean we like a good struggle against Augsburg, but the way their season was going so far I didn't quite see that coming.

Poor performance overall. Many mistakes.
I have the feeling many players are distracted with corona and the ongoing vaccination discussion.
Really hope Kimmich and the others finally get the vaccines before this is becoming worse and derails the whole season.

Maybe they can just hit Kimmich's ModeRNA dose with a hammer a couple of times so that he's satisfied it's a 'dead' vaccine

Sane was dead in the water and had delivered only passes to the opponent the last 15 min. I know everyone loves him at the moment but he's still far very far from delivering Ribery or Robben value. He's behind Kingsley Calf strain Coman ffs.

To be fair, 95% of the team were on international duty until last evening for some, while the full Augsburg squad prepared for this very match 2 weeks undisturbed. I expect them to lose the next 3 matches too.
Bit shocked by Nianzous performance tbh. He's supposed to be a major talent, he stayed home to prepare, and in those few minutes he was in he bottled about every ball coming his direction.

You have to be super careful with that, going by homeopathic standards that might make the vaccine way too strong!

"With this step, Markus and Florian have taken responsibility and aim to end the unrest that has surrounded the club in the last days. We respect their decision and will now begin the search for a new head coach,” said Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann.

What's going on in Darmstadt? This has Gladbach vs Bayern vibes.

I don't think so, it is not that extreme here I believe. Darmstadt has been better and they were very efficient, but St Pauli is not totally helpless, unlike Bayern was.

Additionally it is a duel about who leads the table. It's not like St Pauli have been massive favourites for this who were definitely expected to win, an even game was expected.

Stuttgart... conceding a Malen goal and a counter attack at 1:1... I hope they can mentally recover from this..
edit 1:
I just saw the highlights: poor Bochum have been absolutely robbed, not once but perhaps twice by the ref..
edit 2:
Fürth absolutely robbed against Gladbach as well.

A complete disgrace in terms of VAR performance and utterly unacceptable in 2021.

Zero Contact. Bremen Player even takes Ball with the Hand. Now guess what the Ref does ? Nothing at first. gets a VAR call. goes out and ..... Gives Penalty to Bremen

This is beyond a Scandalous Call

Strange, in the very video you link to there seems to be some contact clearly visible.

You can see his right foot vibrate from the contact at the very beginning of the clip. I'm not sure that was enough to VAR it though, since his fall looks quite voluntarily.

Hamburg got a very important win over Regensburg that put them within touching distance of top three again, Bremen kind of needed a win yesterday and Schalke are probably still wondering whether their glass is half full or half empty, while Simon Terodde is now officially the 2nd division's all time top scorer. With their thumping of St. Pauli Darmstadt now have two strikers on 11 goals, which is apparently some sort of record this early into a season.
Who will win promotion seems anybodies guess at the moment.

At that price he might as well buy a vaccination certificate, I heard that's quite hip at the moment. It's also a shame that out of the five players, who are named as being unvaccinated, four are German and three of them current internationals even.

FC Bayern right now:

Gnabry, Musiala, Choupo-Moting and Cuisance have to go into quarantine because of having contact to a Covid case in the surrounding of the team...

That will be a never ending story in the next weeks...

Are you referrring to the ongoing quarantine or has there been a fresh case today?

edit:

Did this happen before or after they had that talk about keeping their wages?

The talks were Friday morning. The match was Friday evening. And there was a training session on Saturday.

Oh okay, I assumed the meeting had been today, since that's when news of it seems to have come out. But good for Bayern, if they did this before the game and not "just" as a reaction to a silly loss.

But the question as always is - "who is the mole?" - or probably "who are the moles?". Things come out too easy at Bayern - especially in such details.
