Parted company without asking the money of the rest of the contract, would be a great gesture

Im not sure about Zidane though. Hes managed the best team on the planet at the time they won the 3 Ch Lge with a prime Ronaldo. Hes having to have his arm twisted up his back to come, as if he was keen this would have been done after the City game. I also think if the French job comes up after the WC he will want out.

It shouldnt be like this. Thanks Ole, you have done what you were expected to do. Best of luck.
He had a good start, winning like 8 of his first 10 games. But we made no progress over the past three seasons. And this season our defense hasn’t been functioning. He had no answers, and I personally didn’t want him out until today.

It’s always sad when a legend fails as a manager, but he was and remains a legend.

I hate that it's reached a point where I'm super happy that he's sacked. Shouldn't have been this way.

You have more faith in Potter to manage us than Zidane?

True. His intentions must be good. But alas the job has always been bigger than his managerial ability. But we need to be able to respect him regardless, for what he has done (mainly as the ex player). The fact that he overstayed isn't completely his fault.

Sad the way it's ended, as bad as it feels seeing us like we are, it's awful to see how broken ole looks. We will always have 99 ole.

Guess the loss was actually a win. Should have lost that Tottenham game, we'd have Antonio Conte now.

We need a total revamp in our football system as a whole.

I would give Ragnick the control for the season and get Ten Hag. Let Ralf use his scout network to get us the uncut gems, and go all out for a star once and a while.

We are rotten all around.

That ended in a complete car crash. Feel sorry for him, really wanted him to make it and've been pretty much holding on until yesterday :(

This is what pisses me off the most. We knew that this was going to be the end result for a long while now, even before the Liverpool game. We had a genuine top 5 manager available and wanting to come and instead we bottled it... for what? What did we gain from these weeks wasted? Now we have nothing to rely on unless they've decided to give Zidane the keys to the city or something in an effort to bring him here.

This was meant to happen based on our recent performance but he'll always be a legend as a player. Thank you Ole they'll still sing your name

I have no ill will to Ole
But hopefully there's some clause that means there's not some £20M pay off... .

He did steady the ship. It’s unsteady now, but the core is something that another manager can make great.
Yes, I agree. We have players who can get us better results. No doubt about it. The first job of the next manger is to stabilize the defense. You can’t just go down a goal or two each time and expect Ronaldo to save the day. And you can’t go on the road, score two goals and come back with no points (e.g. LC).

Honestly, I'm not happy nor sad about it. He was doing well as a transition manager but he really needed a better coaching staff and a better backbone. He still a legend in my eyes, and I hope he succeeds somewhere else.

Wonder whether we'll go for the best available right now (Zidane?) or an interim until the summer?

Thanks for building the foundations of a title winning side, Ole. The next manager will be more than grateful.

Legend.
