He scored the goal in the reverse tie.
He’s not only one, No doubt his quality but is the odd goal worth surrendering third of the pitch as a matter of routine. They’ll get away with it in ligule 1 but will get found out in cl.

Messi has done more walking then running. I respect Neymar for being the only one of the front 3 willing to work and chase the ball.

I’m not a massive Poch in guy, but you can see why he might be frustrated in Paris. Absolutely nothing like he had at spurs. No press, no work rate at all from his front three.
Exactly. Messi is strolling like he is having a walk in the park, mbappe doesn't press and neymar is trying but mediocre at it. There midfield of Herrera isn't good at retaining the ball either. Verratti in there will make a hug difference. As I stated, this is an unbalanced team filled with top individuals players.

Wouldn't go that far.

Ronaldo has a 6.43 Presses per 90, the worst out of all forwards in Europes top 5 leagues. Messi has 9.43 Presses per 90.
I cannot get over how little Messi moves. Not sure I've ever seen a player more accomodated at this level. And you can't do that against City.
Don't think I've ever seen a player as lazy as Lionel Messi
As per Trims.

It's sourced from FBRef, so, the stats are reliable, and look, as little as Messi does press (and it's in the 7 percentile) it's not some secret that Ronaldo presses less (1 percentile). We've always known this.

Not sold on Poch just looks like the same shit he did with Spurs pass about at the back and play counter, we’ve seen this already and it doesn’t work in PL no more.

Poch has PSG set up like he managing Southampton against City.

It's a type of game whereby City would be ahead if they had Foden or DeBruyne was playing, their replacements hasn't stepped up and Pep looks frustrated.

No team in particular.

They got away with it in the first game against City.
Also there are more teams in CL than Bayern, City or Liverpool btw.
They can definitely get away with this against the rest.

Amorim has adapted to CL quite well after the Ajax game.

A lot of people had us as the worst team in the competition after match day 1.

The lads are playing their first CL (a majority of them) and they are just having a blast.

Guys like Pote (Pedro Gonçalves), Palhinha , Inácio , and Nunes look like They belong (more so the first 2)

Coates is a rock. Club legend.

What Amorim is doing at Sporting is amazing

Messi, Neymar and Mbappe are pathetic. All the talent in the world and they just walk about.

Ronaldo doesn't press, but he makes plenty of runs when his team in his possession.

Messi just strolls about everywhere now. He's become frustrating to watch.

Tbf he’s completely hamstrung with 3 strikers that won’t press. There’s nothing he can do except drop back and play on the counter

Was hoping Real Madrid would lose tonight.

Those on here saying bench the likes of Neymar, Mbappe & Messi, if I were the PSG manager there would be no way on earth I would bench those 3, no way!

It is hard to believe that Messi works harder than Ronaldo.

Messi was walking like a toddler in the middle of adults playing football around him in the park.

It also looks like City is playing United without errors from the defenders to concede silly goals early.

The thing is, Messi often does this, but it looks worse because he's so deep. He's done it for years, but he's always done it under systems that emphasise possession and domination, whereas, under Pochettino you've got Messi next to Neymar and Mbappe. A big gap between the front three and the midfield three on defensive transition. Then Poch has them drop back deep and they can't get the ball out.

This is so true. Messi strolling would have been tolerable if he'd come alive when his team wins possession and he makes himself easily available by making runs into space, but he doesn't even do that. He'll keep strolling while his team are looking for passing options and only comes to life when the ball get to his feet.

While Ronaldo is a stroller when we're out of possession, he at least works to make himself available when we gain possession.

You notice it more because Messi is central to the screen at all times. Ronaldo is higher up and often in the peripheral of the screen. You're less likely to notice inactivity if it isn't central to your vision and central to where most of the ball is.

So, who covers more distance?

Kloppo playing Mane and Salah in a game where they're already guaranteed to finish top - he did that last season and Jota got injured for 3 months in a dead rubber. His one big flaw - not rotating enough, and why they won't challenge this season for the league.

Whatever with the pressing stats, I'm almost certain that Ronaldo remains the busier of the two players (at least on tonight's showing).
