Welcome Ralf. The 2 year consultancy role is very interesting. You'd have to think he'll have a say in which manager gets appointed full time.

Why does Rangnick make Ten Haag more likely?

Also, as someone who knows nothing about him, is it just Leipzig he's really excelled at?
Did a really good job at Hoffenheim and Schalke too.

Can someone detail what type of manager he is? What kinds of players and systems he likes?
Crazy counterpressing guy. Think like German version of Bielsa but for the German style of play. Doesn't tend to do the control aspect that Nagelsmann/Ten Hag have brought in, but definitely a manager who knows how to coach a team. It'll be a fun 6 months.

Finally it seems like there is a semblance of sense to what this club is doing. If this doesn't work out then I don't really know what we will need

We’re going for Ten Hag. 100%.

No way we would commit to this if we were waiting on Poch
Yeah, my read on it too. If not ten Hag, then someone progressive in the same mould. A very good sign. Hopefully over the course of the season the consultancy role will evolve to a more authoritative one. Absolutely phenomenal news. Moving from Solskjaer to Rangnick. Enormous leap.

Also Luckhurst got this right. Seems to be most reliable when it comes to United.
I have a theory that Luckhurst news comes from someone different, whereas Stone, Peach etc get their news from Woodward.

Wow! Murtough 100% reads the caf. Glorious times ahead folks. The caf leading United back to the promised land.

No idea how this will work out but I'm damn excited to see some gegengengenpressing attempted at United. Could this really mean Ten Hag in the summer?

I'm absolutely over the moon with this.

First sign in a decade that we're taking serious steps towards bringing the football club into the 21st century.

The hipster's choice. Interesting choice but the consultancy role sounds vague. Sounds like it stops short of him becoming a full DOF.
Murtough's director of football. Maybe the club recognises he's a bit inexperienced so are getting him some help?

The whole 'subject to Lokomotiv's approval' part is a bit worrying though. Is it feasible that they won't let him go?

Fantastic news! Even more pleased about the 2 year consultancy. He’s excellent at identifying talent and building teams with a clear philosophy.

Very promising but I hope Carrick Phelan and McKenna are out of the door soon as he comes.

Does he have his backroom staff is the big question

Gary Neville is sweating. United are going with Apfelstrudel way.
One thing you can be sure is Ragnick will do a swift and sharp change away from the class of 92 romanticism. Van Gaal tried - but tried doing it in a slow, safe possession way which was never going to fly. Ragnick tends to go crazy football, so it'll get a much different perception.
