Definitely a week where the bench will be essential.

Although the obvious sod's law is ending up playing 5 defenders for once, and Arsenal and Brighton both conceding 2mins in killing what would no doubt have been a 10 point bench haul if they didn't make the 11!
My bench is weak this GW. I have Antonio (MCI away), Livra (LIV away) and Brownhill. Not expecting anything more than appearance points.

Pep Guardiola says that Phil Foden and Jack Grealish are training individually and "are much better - especially Phil". They will continue to be assessed but Guardiola says he won't take any risks.

What does that mean then.

Aaargh. With the next GW quickly after tgis one I'm really tempted to sell Foden.
I’m waiting to see what you do

One thing’s for sure, once I sell him, he’s not coming back in with the amount of value I’d lose, so I need to be confident about it.

Im really tempted to do the following.

Foden to Jota this week
Mbeumo to Gallagher next week
Raph to Silva for the Watford fixture.
Kane to Ronaldo eventually.

All of this is viable within three weeks if I move on Foden.

Havertz out for Foden or Bernardo? Foden is nuch more explosive but it's a gamble, with next GW so close he may not play in either one. Despite his recent form I don't really see much appeal in Bernardo. Plus he is bound for a rest sometimes soon. Any advice? Havertz is definitely gone and it's one of those two so I need a decision.

Raphinha (vs Brighton), or Rico Henry (vs Everton)

Think Livra misses this week with them facing Liverpool, probably go and score 10 points…

Flip a coin? If you need the cash then go for Bernardo. If not, then it’s probably better going for Foden.

As someone who’s owned Foden for a while, it’s been pretty disappointing since the Brighton game. That false nine role doesn’t seem to be translating into the hauls I thought it might.

Foden to Jota for a hit? Help me please!
I personally can't do that as I have so many fires to put out.

Im not sure it's worth it though unless we hear Foden is definitely out. Here's my reasoning:

Man City have many injuries, so if Foden is fit, he should pay.

Man city have good fixtures.

A hit plus the upcoming fixtures means you NEED Jota to return twice straight away for it to be worthwhile.

With all that said, my luck has been poo this year so there's that.

That was my plan, I'm trying to decipher what the bald cnut said. If Foden hasnt trained with the rest of the team till today, with one day left I doubt he will get into starting 11? And if it gets delayed by any chance that's two GWs missed. In that time Jota plays Soton at home, and Everton away, both juicy fixtures. And Jota is a hold till Feb, their fixtures are great.

Foden might also drop today making me lose 0.1 cash.

I think Pep clearly saying 'we won't risk it' along with the fact Foden hasnt trained with the team so far, is kinda saying he wont start. They are fecked with injuries but he started Zinchenko on the left wing in CL, maybe he will do that again.

This is my whole squad. Thinking of doing Foden to Jota for a hit now, and then Chilwell to Alonso after the deadline.

Ramsdale, Foster
TAA, Cancelo, James, Chilwell, Livra
Salah, Foden, Gallagher, Raphinha, Brownhill
Kane, Antonio, Hwang

Since when can you play only 2 midfielders?? Just saw someone's team on Twitter and he is going to play 5 defenders 2 midfielders and 3 strikers. I've been playing the game on and off since 2013 and I am positive you couldn't play only 2 in midfield.

Of course you can. You have to play a minimum of 3 defenders is the only rule.

Edit - or to be more exact...

Your team can play in any formation providing that 1 goalkeeper, at least 3 defenders and at least 1 forward are selected at all times.

Foden to Jota for a -4 or not? Chilwell to Alonso or someone else?

I see you guys discuss it. The smart things for you guys is to wait and see what I do and then do the opposite.

I am leaning towards it and knowing myself, I will pull the trigger so don't do it.

But if you don't do it does it mean it is the right thing for me to do it?

Sooner or later one of my moves will be right I guess haha. Just not had the best of luck with moves for hits. Also getting Chilwell or James for a hit before Norwich would have worked so well if I did it.

3 LIverpool do feel too much. It makes me secretly want them to score too much, but Salah is so highly owned that he do not matter much.
Wanting City to score is no better though.

If Foden plays false 9 I want him. On the wing not so much.

Foden will probably play with their injuries etc. They had some kid up front last week!

Whether he'll do anything is a totally different question.

Him playing is enough for me to hold, and it seems most here thinks he will. I'll try to stay calm over the impending price drop.

Price changes are way less important than people seem to think.

They can just play the same team they did in midweek surely? They even had Jesus on the bench so he'll most likely start in place of Zinchenko and one of Mahrez/Sterling will sit out if Foden is not fit.

Yeah, I obsess a bit too much at times. Especially this season when we have so many budget options. I am around 105 right now, I can probably afford losing a little.
Moby you have way better team value than me I think. You got Hwang and I got Dennis. Otherwise pretty much the same squad and yeah you got Gallagher and I got Mbeumo.

I guess you got them early too I guess so not selling for the same value I have to buy them for.

That's the thing. The bald nutter played Zinchenko in midfield. The "we won't risk it" seems to be he is fine with playing someone out of position rather than risking an injury.

But then also, if Foden is just out for 1 game and comes back for the christmas run, given he's further ahead than Grealish then it makes sense to hold.

I guess more info is needed and so would have to risk price changes and potentially have Livramento coming on for him.

Most of it is tied with a few players haha. James, Cancelo, Livramento, Antonio, Salah probably have a combined 2.5m value increase.
Yeah I am too late to the party with Gallagher. Sooner or later when he is 6.3 I might get him for Raphinha when the fixtures do turn.

Can't do Mbeumo to him right now I am 0.1 off.

Think I'm genuinely caught in 2 equally sensible moves here.

1) Straight forward Chilwell to James - long term injury - replaced by hot form like for like.

But having both White and Duffy with good fixtures, and the next game week being imminent, makes me wonder if I should just play White, and do instead....

2) Townsend to Smith Rowe.
3 goals in 4 games, with the 4th game being Liverpool away. Hot form, and plays Newcastle at home!

James plays United, who won't be as big a push over as previously (we hope), and White v Newcastle seems sensible.
Townsend also plays Liverpool next which doesn't promise much.

So, Smith Rowe in for Townsend now, and do Chilwell to James just after deadline?
Or just do James now, and forget Smith Rowe (United away midweek)

Big boys? What do you reckon?

If Foden was out, there's Duffy home game to deputise too.
But Smith Rowe would support Rapha and Salah as being good goal scoring threat form players

If those are your final two options then surely ESR first, Newcastle are rubbish and ESR always gets a lot of shots, that's one of the fixtures you 100% target. But definitely get James up next, going without him vs United should be ok (although someone in the form of his life attacking a flank of Shaw/Telles/Bailly etc is also pretty good) but it's still a big game, with a decent chance of him losing his CS.

So yeah ESR now and James next up. I am doing the same for Alonso, will get him next GW.

Well I would take out the injured player first. Smith Rowe is good, but he is not like an essential player.
Sadly think James can do more damage against us.

Townsend out make sense too though. Can you bench him?

I guess it is nice to hope we will win. I think I bench Rudiger in draft, but not any attacking fullbacks.

A hit is not awful here, but Smith Rowe got us next so yeah not sure it is worth it.

If you can handle the price rise James is likely to have tonight, then ESR makes sense.

Either way though, both play one easy and one hard in the next two so won't make too much difference long run.

Although my hunch says this is the week Saka finally outscore ESR... ESR expected data is shite and he's been massively over performing.

Rest of team would help views? , but maybe Plan B.

I dislike Townsend and Chilwell so getting rid of either is a plus.

What are you trying to imply about our defence?!!
